    Monday Joke

    That's funnier than the joke!

    Monday Joke

    ...but it's Tuesday!
  3. Wouldn't it be good if bad weather levelled the playing field?
  4. Considering how much it must cost to run the event etc etc I can't imagine them cancelling it. FWIW I've been to a few RWYB events there and they've carried on despite the rain and despite the cars spinning off the track just after the 1/4 mile point! I think the last one I saw was an Evo/bonfire interface!
  5. Who was it that had a bat in his engine bay? Jazz1?
  6. Damaged wings eh! At least we know you didn't kill this guy!
  7. Blimey! I once did Leeds to Worthing in 3hrs 50. In an old Volvo 440.
  8. Tell that to the Southerners who are coming. ;)
  9. Me, obviously, and even if it p1ss3s down all day I'll enjoy myself. You may want to add yourselves at the link below: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=513&day=2007-07-29
  10. Oh! It's an RC car!! I was wondering how that pic was taken from so high up!!
  11. I t should have happened by now. Shite weather, lack of time and general feeling of 'can't be arsed' has led it to be postponed indefinitely. I'm going to get TOTB out of the way then that's it for me.
  12. I've not seen this one before. Just thought I would share this with you, as you know I work in thespeeding fine department in Swindon's Magistrate's Court and in thecourse of my investigation into "fines, their paymentmethods, and howpoints are automatically added against drivers licences" we discoveredsomething very interesting "If You Get a Speeding Fine." This has beentried and it works I tried to send this to everyone I know. I know thatfor a fact is works so if you ever get in this situation, you have anout. We discovered that this procedure works nationwide. Read it andtry it, you have nothing to lose but the points on your license. This is how it works: If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light or whateverthe case may be, and you are going to get points on yourlicence, thenthere is a method to ensure that you DO NOT get any points. When youget your fine, send in the cheque to pay for it and if thefine is say, £40, then make the cheque out for £41 or some small amount over thefine. The system will then have to send you back a cheque for the difference, but here is the trick! DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHEQUE!!! Throw it away!!Points are not assessed to your licence until all financialtransactions are complete. If you do not cash the cheque, then thetransactions are NOT complete. However, the system has gotten its moneyand is happy and will not bother you any more. This information came to our attention from a very reliable computercompany that sets up the standard database used by each county'scomputing system. Sounds like BS to me.
  13. Keep your eyes peeled then. I go through Ossett a fair bit and I'm a regular at the Shell garage out by the M-way. Try and get to Squires if you can. We don't bite.
  14. Dead cert for the calendar next year. Loving the colour of WSB2's car.
  15. Ah, but the more you drive in the wet the more you'll enjoy it.
  16. Oh yes! Can you turn off at jct 39 on the M1 on your way to TOTB? You can show me how a C1 driver handles a Supra!!!
  17. Hello there fellow West Yorkshire person. The JDM Supra doesn't really have less power than the UK model. The JDM has ceramic blades in the turbo as opposed to the heavier, and therefore slightly slower to spool, steel internals of the UK cars. They are also lighter cars too! Where in WY are you? There is a meet at Squires Cafe in Sherburn-in-Elmet on the 7th August. They'll be plenty of Supras there and you can ask us a bunch of questions in exchange for coffee and pasties.
  18. Can't we get you onto the handling course next weekend in one of the competing cars?
  19. RLTC doesn't really 'go wrong'. Any failure is usually caused by the user ie. driving too hard, forgetting to switch it to the correct setting etc etc. If you know how, when and why it works then you'll know how, when and why it'll work and how, when and why it won't. See?
  20. RLTC won't save you if you go into a corner too fast. It cannot overcome a lack of mechanical grip. It will, however, allow you to get the power down out of the corner earlier. Although, if it cuts in then you are already too heavy with the gas pedal.
  21. I think nearly all ISPs now have some form of 'traffic shaping'. I think it's really going to hinder progress when you compare to the US and much of Europe. Imagine the issues caused by being able to enjoy 1,500 high definition HDTV channels simultaneously and download a full high definition DVD in just two seconds!
