  1. Good luck Rich. I hope you find your nirvana. All the best for you and your family in the future. You'll be missed. Cheers.
  2. I thought GZ's had the larger brakes?
  3. My brother in law got a t shirt from Puerto Banus when he visted a few years ago. With the deft use of some masking tape he got it to read PERT ANUS.
  4. I went in January with my wife. Blue Lagoon is a must. We went on a Northern Lights trip and got lucky. We would like to go again, and next time we would do the Golden Circle Tour. They take you up onto the permanent ice cap you get to see the Gulfoss Waterfall which is amazing apparently. Cost was irrelevent to us, it was for my wife's 40th and worth every penny spent. They do quad biking trips and skidoo excursions and 4x4 offroad trips. Car hire is cheaper is you rent in Reykjavik rather than at the airport. Some pics for you here.
  5. There have been some harsh comments in this thread, but not all of them are unjustified. I'm sorry, but neons and flamer kits are not really in vogue, nor are they really groundbreaking additions to a car. They are..... well you decide. Now as for the argument about the reaction of the forum "damaging the reputation of the club" I would argue, that modifications such as neons and flamer kits are, in themselves, damaging to the reputation of Supra owners and ultimately, the residual value of your car. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, provided that it is given with respect in mind. At the same time, I don't want to see adversarial replies with veiled threats involved, it won't do anyone any good and will limit the time said person making such statements has on this forum. Large clubs like this one has a diversity of members. Those who are purists, modifiers, bigh BHP chasers and Matt H. We all have an opinion. But as I've said, do so with respect please. Thankyou.
  6. Not being married to my wife it isn't. It's her car and she won't let me play.
  7. I didn't sell the Supra to buy the MX5, but yes I did buy one, infact we still have it. I don't really miss the Supe per se, but I do miss the near 400bhp it had. I scour the classifieds forum nearly every day, and if circumstances were different I would have bought another by now. I really like driving the 5 though, puts a smile on my face every time and really is great on a twisty road. If only it had about 200bhp.
  8. A Constable HAS to be in uniform in order to exercise his powers under the Road Traffic Act.Even if he subsequently produces his ID, he still has no power to stop you. TBH he hasn't done himself any favours by getting involved in what is at the end of the day a relatively trivial matter. I like to leave my work, at work. If you feel that he has treated you unfairly or abused his authority or was uncivil, then complain.
  9. A person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intent to permanently deprive the other of it. Section 1(1) Theft Act 1968. In order to prove theft, there has to be intent to permanently deprive. As there is no intent, there is no theft. Nor is there any element of dishonesty.
  10. Hi Joe, Glad to see life is treating you well. It would be a shame to seel the car get broken. Why not see if you can see it as is, as a project? I'm sure someone would take it on?
  11. I was going to say don't bother with the Police just get onto environmental health. They can get a warrant to enter the premises if needs be and silence the alarm.
  12. IIRC Neofuture had some long time away from the forum at the beginning of the year due to illness. Perhaps he has had a relapse? Edit to add he was diagnosed with kawasaki syndrome earlier in the year which resulted in a prolonged stay in hospital.

    Strange

Copper is worth a fortune these days. Just because a potential thief is interetsted in your van, you shouldn't assume that because there are exp[ensive cars in the area he would be after them. 95% of vehicle theft is theft from not theft of so I would be wary and leave nothing valuable in your van whilst it is unattended for any length of time.
  14. Have you asked Ibrar if he can lend you a set whilst your wheels are being done?
  15. Raining here today. I was off last week, and I'm off this week, next week and the week after.
  16. Hmm my bad. Five (5) working days following the day after the disc has been paid for.
  17. The rules have changed now. You have 7 days grace if you ordered it online via the DVLA website. Make sure you keep your email with you during this time as not everyone is au fait with the new rules.
  18. Looking good on it Ewen
  19. Nah not this time. New improved version here. I spat my tea out when I read it!
  20. There isn't a national uniform. They are all variations on a theme. Seikh Officers wear a turban. Female muslim officers are allowed to wear a hijab. Jewish officers are alowed to wear a Kippah.
