  1. Thanks for all the replies! Ive had a look at some the websites recommended and you have to buy the kit in bits, is there any decent priced complete kit which includes everything! Surely that must work out cheaper!? Not the wide body kit, thats out of my price range!
  2. Yeh, i just want to get an idea of peoples thoughts on having that combination of body kit first, not in a rush to buy straight away if you get what i mean.
  3. If anyone is selling a full JZA80 bodykit or knows of anywhere to get one for a good price let me know, im after something along the lines of: Bomex Front Bumper Veilside Side-Skirts That rear spoiler which goes across flat (4got its name- not that ridiculous veilside one) An after market, good looking, rear bumper? It doesnt matter about colour as im getting the whole car resprayed anyway, but has to be in good condition. Any ideas/thoughts anyone?
  4. SVA center wouldnt know even if the car was stolen as DVLA do interpol checks before assigning a reg number, at this point de-reg must be surrendered. All SVA center does is rip you off and argue over stupid little things just to make you pay the 30 quid retest fee, robbing ********!
  5. I have had a reply from [email protected] All he said was "Not that I am aware of." Hopefully its not true as i havent been able to find any hard facts stating it will happen. If anyone does hear anything please let us know.
  6. Ive seen this car and kinda know the guy that owns it, it was seriously vandalised a few months back and the new paint job was a mash up. Used to look the biz before but now.....
  7. Nice website, i like! 'You will find no mondeos here"
  8. Neo1, Your car will need a standard SVA not ESVA, the standard SVA is slightly cheaper and not as stringent as ESVA. You will need to produce the Jap-Dereg Docs at the SVA Center and also surrender them to DVLA when you register it. Have you seen the SVA1 form? On the form you would tick the box that says P for personal import which then means you skip alot of the other sections. You wont need to strip the bodykit off the car, but i think they might cause a fuss if you have modified exhaust and induction kit or anything that would affect emmisions/noise. Please anyone correct me if im wrong with any of above info. Still havent found out for sure if in April the 10 year rule will change or not.
  9. No im not saying that Hornet, once SVA is done thats it, you dont ever need to SVA that car again. This rule, as with all new rules, applies to newly imported hence unregistered cars. Currently cars older than 10 years are exempt from SVA, Allegedly this will change in April 2005 whereby regardless of age an SVA must be completed for fresh imports. Again its just something an importer has told me, i have not heard anything from anywhere else.
  10. I heard this yesterday from a guy that imports cars regularly, ive emailed VOSA and they havent yet confirmed if its true or not. The reason why im concerned is because my supra is due to arrive around mid/end march and is over 10 years old, i do not want to be SVA'ing it! Else i would have just bought a newer model in the first place. I hope its just a rumour!
  11. Has anyone else heard about the change which will take place in April? Basically all imported cars will need an SVA if registered after April this year, so the 10 year old, just need an MOT, rule wont apply anymore. Has anyone else been informed about this?
  12. I havent as yet bought any, what im after is ones that are totally clear without those vertical lines and have a crystal type internal making them very clear and shiny, i have seen some on a supra on some forum but cant remember which one!
  13. Hmm i like the colour, does anyone know what the colour code for that might be?
  14. Thanks Jake, very nice! How many litres did you need? I think between 2-3 Litres should be plenty? And, whos 'Dude' ?
  15. Thanks Jake, do you think you could post some pics on this thread? as i cant go access the gallery. How much did it cost you in total to get the re-spray done inc the cost of paint? Cheers.
  16. I poped into auto paint in bradford on my way home from work today, had a look through some colour cards iv pretty much ruled out the flip paint colours. There were some more subtle flip paints which were quite good, until i came across the range offered by Rage-Extreme i liked the 'Shockwaves' in 'Surfers Paradise' Its nice shade of blue, but very expensive i got quoted 133+VAT Per Litre! Has anyone come across Rage-Extreme paints? Are they worth it?
  17. Thanks for help guys, im still considering colours, anyone know a website which can give indications to colours available etc I know they wont come up right on the monitor screen but just to get an idea.
  18. Hi guys ive got a black supra RZ, iv been considering a full colour change for some time now and think i will finally get it done. Ive been trying to find colours, I dont like those flip paints so dont think i will go for one of those colours. Rather one of those electricy blue/purple colours, I cant find much info on where to get the paint codes and info etc, can anyone suggest anywhere? At the same time i will probably fit a bomex front bumper and maybe C-West side skirts and have the whole lot sprayed up in one go.
  19. I think absxxx and merckx 's are both the same UK - glass type, the ones that dealers sell for 127.17 + VAT. The ones on ebay look like some other type? Must be jspec ones.
  20. Thanks guys! I have to say they look ALOT better than I thought they would! I think i'll buy a pair, can anyone advise on how to get that 10% discount from the main dealers?? I tried when inquiring about them but they were not having it! Well in anycase from seeing those pictures they are easily worth the £300.
  21. Yes absxxxx please put some pics up! IF you have fitted the UK ones on your car can you take some 'before' and 'after' shots just to see the difference. Thanks!
  22. You can get the headlights to appear yellow with some xenon bulbs i think its the 4000K ones
  23. I dont like the sound of yellow ones! Anyone got a handle on clear lens for the jspec?
  24. Ive been down to my local toyota dealer and have been quoted £130+vat for each one which is approx £300 for the pair. Does anyone have a pic of the UK spec glass one? I dont really want a 'frosted' or 'lined' type of lens but rather a clear one as JamesC has shown in the picture. And i second JamesC's question of how it can be done??
  25. Hi, I am considering replacing the headlights for some more crystal clear ones on my 94 RZ supra, does any know of anywhere i can get some? Thanks in advance.
