what about removing the 1st cat instead of the 2nd cat as the first is closer the manifold? Would this make a differerence? Whats a EGT??

Hi, Need some advice on the removing a cat from my car. A firm in walsall has quoted £80 for a replacement with a high quality S-steel replacement. Can anyone advise on the following questions i have 1. Would my car stilll pass with a single cat? My car is a UK TT 2. Which cat is it best to remove (1st or 2nd??) 3. Any drawbacks of removing the cat? 4. What kind of power gains can i expect? Any comments would be much appreciated

just to make facts clear I was just trying to sell my red uk sup and CJ had to spoil my thread accusing me of being a trader etc.. and accused my car of being overpriced etc Ironic thing was that about a mouth ago cj was selling a jap import but didnt like it when i made a same kind of comments back...he had to resort to get a moderator to remove my comments... what goes round comes around... Somethings wont change cj being cj.
