  1. Get some brake disk cleaner spray to clean the new discs i think i bought 1.5 litres of brake fluid to flush all the old stuff out . Don't let the master cylinder empty when you bleed the brakes or contaminate the new pads/discs i think i just painted my calipers with black hammerite years ago . To get the old discs off the hub there are two threaded holes in the disc to put bolts in to eaze them off.
  2. The pins are about £1.60 each so cheap to replace. The discs about £60 each. just measure the thickness of the ones on the car to see if they are below the recommended limit. An ezibleed kit about £7, if the fluid has not been changed for a while its worth bleeding all the old stuff out with new. If a caliper pin is rusted in then the fun begins .
  3. i use ebc red stuff , just put some on my bpu supra this week . if you are doing it yourself buy a new set of caliper pins before you start.
  4. managed to get some from a local motor bike shop of all places

no it gets worse, if you spay some wd40 on the joint by the bearing the noise goes for a while.I have taken the the pully off and can tell the bearing has gone .I have now removed the bearing ready to fit the new one when it arrives.

    Tensioner

I have removed the auxilary pully no problem [thanks for advice iky],but as i expected trying to find a bearing number [ NTN 6203 LH ] is proving difficult even though it has been used on many different cars. i will have to make a few phone calls to find if there is a similar bearing.
  13. Thanks bob, just wanted to make sure they were the uk spec brake disc part numbers .

    Tensioner

i hope it just comes of the shaft, the difficult part may be trying to find a bearing to fit it .

    Tensioner

That makes sense, does the pully then come off the shaft after undoing the 14mm bolt or is the bearing a press fit on the shaft. cheers
  17. can anyone confirm the correct part numbers for the uk spec front disks from mr T are the following part numbers correct T43512-14200 T43516-14030 cheers

How do you take the tension of the belt so i can just remove the pully to replace the bearing [if i can get a bearing] ?
  19. The bearing in my auxiliary belt tensioner sounds like it may need replacing. Has anyone managed just to replace the auxiliary bearing or does the whole unit need replacing.
