  1. Admittedly, there was a period about 2 years ago where our customer service department became short staffed and we were very busy. This has long since been rectified and our longest wait time for exiting customers in June was 4 1/2 minutes. This is excluding a 40 minute period on one morning where we had external phone issues. There was nothing we could do about that. We take every single claim seriously. It's only in our interest to do so as a lot of our custom is customer recommendation. We also take a lot of pride in what we do. Any customer of ours who has any queries is free to email [email protected] with the subject 'FOA Alex' and I will do my best to help. Alex

  7. Hi JK90, Apologies that you're having problems. In your post you say that you had a Supra with us, not have. Is this correct? If so, this is a situation that I explained in the previous page; our rates or geared for imports/performance/modified cars. We will usually only look to quote for standard UK cars if there's good reason - the client has a modified car with us already, a quote for a family member etc. By the sounds of your post, we don't currently insure your Supra and nor do we currently insure your 1 Series? That is probably why our rate is quite high. If we don't currently insure you, please bear in mind that the picture you linked to is for renewals (exisiting customers) Hope this provides some clarity. Cheers, Alex

  9. It's hard to comment on individual cases without seeing the customer file. By the sounds of it, we will keep on insuring the daily car as you're a club member and had a modified car insured with us. If you take one elsewhere, we wont tell you take the other as well. Cheers, Alex

  12. I see your point but perhaps I should be more specific. Our agreement with our primary insurers is that we will give them imports/modifed/perfomance cars. Hence why we advertise here. This agreement gives us access to rates that are competitive for these sorts of cars. We don't have this for standard UK cars unless there's a reason, e.g. we already insure the client's modified car, a client's wife, etc. Without access to the market for standard UK cars, our rates will have no discount and can sometimes be high. A brief explanation but that's ultimately how it is. Cheers, Alex

  15. Sky did have an employee, Ollie, whose job was to work purely with Car Clubs. Sadly, we don't have a dedicated member of staff to monitor anymore. However, having seen that this Club is indeed still very active, we will be monitoring daily.   16. Hi Keith, Most insurers have associated NOS with a high claims ratio. Subsequently, they've been reluctant to provide cover for it. Apologies.
  17. It's the responsibility of the car's owner to ensure that their car is legal. If the car passes an MOT, then that would suggest it's legal To put it this way, we've been insuring modified Supra's since 2003 with decats and have never had a claim thrown out on such a mod.
  18. Hi DNK. Sorry you didn't get a reply. The way we look at it is pretty simple - If the modification is deemed legal in the UK, then we won't have a problem with it. If the modification is not considered legal in the UK, (decats, etc) then we won't be able to cover it. Cheers Alex

  21. Thank you guys - greatly appreciated. Not sure if all of you know, I used to be a MKIV owner..did the TT conversion on an NA Manual...subsequently blew the W58 but had an enormous amount of fun doing it...I will be back to either Supra or GTR ownership in the future so hopefully ill be back as a 'normal' member in the future On and off and under different guises I've been on this forum in particular for over 5yrs - so it's a bit special to me!!
