@Dnk if you are considering Windows 11 and you are building a PC, rather than buying a system from HP or Dell etc. You need to make sure that the motherboard you buy is TPM 2.0 compliant otherwise the system will fail the minimum requirement check on installation of Windows. Most boards from MSI etc. Will have the option, but sometimes you have to buy the TPM chip separately.

A mate of mine has one on a 2014 plate and loves it. They do seem to have held their value in comparison to the earlier versions too. I'm not entirely sure but I believe they have changed from the 6 cylinder to 4 cylinder engine after this generation which makes them more desirable too.

@JamieP loving the garage updates. Saw on Instagram MonkyLondon hinting at a possible video collab, is that going to happen?

Hi Chris, See the attached photos of the one that came out of mine, almost identical damage to yours. What you can't see until you disassemble the unit is the value stamped into the top of the capacitor. I ended up ordering a replacement from Farnell, part number was R60EN4470AA30K 4.7 micro farad capacitor. That was the only model capacitor that was dimensionally correct to fit back into the ECU housing and the pins at the correct spacing. I had the exact same happen to mine too and I managed to change it with a replacement capacitor. If you want I can see what the replacement was that I used?

Yeah, as Steve says I usually use Windows 10 Defender & Security on my home devices as it seems pretty good these days, I find many of the other home AV products too bloated personally. I use Sophos in my work corp environment as it covers everything I need there, that would probably be the only other one I would consider using at home.
