No problem Jake, thanks for the info. We just thought it would have been a bit overkill but your theory also sounds very possible. unfortunately there is no easy way of now if the tubbies are stock without some serious labour. The BOV, not a great looker but it sounds great, nice wastegate style flutter at low boost release and nice loud psssssssst at high boost.

    How happy am I?

I don't know a huge amount about these things so please excuse me but why would you got to the bother of bigger injectors & a FCon along with all the pipe work for stock twins? http://www.laserlines.com/supra2/engine.jpg
  4. The answer is VERY! Big thanks to Paul & the guys down at Whifbitz for all their work yesterday. Took my car there for a tune up as it was running very rich. We started off by removing the FCon V, but it still ran "off the scale" rich. Paul checked under my bonnet & it turns out that my car has bigger injectors fitted & coupled along with the HKS FCon & HKS Hipermax Drag suspension would point towards my car having Hybrid Turbos! They tuned the car to run at 1.2 bar for the moment with the SAFC, until I either get the FCon mapped or go down the E-Manage root. The car is so responsive now and has sooooooo much more pull than before. Also MPG has now shot up and the car no longer stinks of fuel! I am one very happy Whifbitz customer, thanks again Paul.
  5. Yes, as it will tend to run too rich at idle but dangerously lean under boost. Get that hose clamped on tight! This is what led to Jakes engine faliure! Can't belive toyota didn't build in a fail safe system for this.
  6. I think my cars got some other speed delimiter (maybe built in to the FCon) as before it was converted it would go well over 180KMH?
  7. Sorry to hijack the thread but ive got a 320KM TRD speedo fitted in mine (already in the car when i bought it) The speed signal was converted to MPH when I had all the fog conversions etc done so now in theory my speedo won't bottom out till it hits 320MPH! How much power will i need to hit that? If anyone wants my TRD Speedo and wants to swap speedo's at JAE, PM me an offer.
  8. Thats the garage I always fill up at Don't really see many supes round here though.
  9. ye a you did! lol Didn't recognise you in your leathers, thought you were saying "are you terribleturner" then i twigged, im not with it first thing in the morning! Nice bike mate Did you say you were on your way home from work?
  10. Aren't the ones behind the aircon etc surface mount LED's? if so, pop to maplins and get some blue surface mount LED's, you'll need a thin nosed soldering iron to mount them though.

    Some Questions

Insurance for the 2.0 Clio sport wont be good for either im afraid My mates got a 1.6 16V clio and suprisingly thats a very nippy little car & if driven well he could keep with the 172's up to 80mph! So id look at getting a 1.6 if i were you, and insurance is quite good.
  12. Why? So we can arrange to meet up the day after he fly's back to Dubai, just to be annoying!
  13. Why dont you go for a nice rusty brown to match the exhaust side of that turbo!
  14. If you want smart, a nice metalic graphite grey would like nice. Otherwise you need a colour which you can use as a theme & then match the colour of the hoses etc to it. Have you got a current pic of your engine bay?
  15. Pics posted here guys. If any of you want a hi-res version of certain pic, let me know. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=42461
  16. I second that, had a good chat with you all and nice to put names to faces. Nice for FTO guys to come too, another friendly bunch Ill post up the pics tomorrow. See you all again soon.
  17. Yep that's the one, on the left going towards uxbridge. See you there.
  18. That would be great, see you there. PM me if anything changes.
  19. Ive managed to borrow my works digital SLR camera (Canon EOS 20D) so we can get some decent pics. Make sure you cars are clean! James/Sabrina, fancy meeting up around Gerrards Cross for a small convoy along to Wycombe?
  20. I bought the FTO for my 21st Birthday (3 years ago). I was looking at supras before I stumbled upon the FTO but i thought the jump from a 1.3 Fiesta to Supra TT might be a bit too much for me! On reflection, that was a good move as I think i would definitely have killed myself in the Supra back then.
  21. Totally aggree, which is why I ended with a Supra. I was looking at Evo 6's but i couldn't have put up with the way it looked after the attention the FTO got.
  22. Nice! Definitely my 2 favourite looking jap cars! They look very nice together, they're a perfect match "His & Hers" Although the FTO was obviously very masculine when i had one!
  23. Those wheels will look great. Please please please dont put one of those racing wings on the back far to "boy-racer" for my liking. (only my opinion though) I bought the clear repeaters from Funky, but only as there wasn't any talk of the MX5 mod at the time (3 years ago), i do the MX5 mod, much cheaper. Another thing i did which isn't in the pics was remove the orange plastic from inside the front indicator pods. That made a big difference to the look too but they were a pig to get out. Find that your headlights are naff? get some PIAA Extreme Force bulbs, £60 but you wont be dissapointed, much brighter and as near to the Xenon look as you'll get.
  24. The VR Spoiler & a twin pipe Scorpion exhaust would look very nice on a black GPX Sorry James Here's a couple pics of my GPX old. http://www.laserlines.com/fto/rear1.jpg http://www.laserlines.com/fto/front1.jpg Pleanty to spend on the interior too. http://www.laserlines.com/fto/interior.jpg http://www.laserlines.com/fto/interior-dark.jpg
  25. Thats what i like to hear. Also being a 1994, make sure you get a de-cat pipe to. Because its a 1994 car & its not on the MOT register, it has to be tested as a "non-cat" car! Gives it a very nice exhaust note and lets it rev a bit more freely.
