BBS LM's look ace though I prefer their one piece wheels. I have to second the Siennas though, also my all time favourite wheel ever since I saw Paul's car in a magazine many years ago just after his first PHR kit was fitted.

I only joined up so I could keep tabs of who was made redundant, and who kept their jobs during this round of redundancies, what pissed me off was that I found out about my own job via facebook rather than our own HR department.

I have Sky+ but am not prepared to pay another £10 a month for Setanta. My dad bought Setanta for the football then for some reason it was cut off. They said he'd missed a payment (direct debit, plenty of money in the account) but wouldn't tell him which month setanta wasn't payed, yet kept taking the direct debits every month since. Turned out it was the July payment, phoned up the bank and they said there was nothing wrong at that end and the payment had no reason not to go out.

I wanted anything in 17 or 18 that cleared UK brakes but after a nightmare with magnesium sparcos I decided I wasn't going to spend big money on wheels again and found there wasn't really a lot for sale for under £1500 (inc tyres) or wasn't POA or e-commerce so went to my local shop which really struggled to find anything that would fit (everything seemed to be 195x19 4 stud) except some KEI D1's which were built to order, these were delivered and the PCD was way off so was refunded and asked the guys on PH to scour the breadth of the land for wheels for me as I had a trackday booked for a few days later and no wheels (I was on some UK17 loaners). Someone showed me a pic of the Vortex Manias and I just had to have them, they were delivered the next day.

I've always been under the impression that if RLTC is the answer then perhaps there is something else that needs to be addressed first.

I'm sure it's lovely but I just do not trust them.

Who did you have in mind? I can't see that members wanting a decent standard of lingual skills on this forum would drive away the likes of Digsy, Chris Wilson & IanC. As has been repeatedly said, nobody is asking for a masterpiece, but they are requesting an effort to be made.

That's b*llocks. If our Polish, Danish and Swedish members have a fairly good grasp of our language, then all the people born in this country have no excuses, the only discrimination are against the thick, allowances are made to those who clearly do not have English as their first language or have severe learning difficulties.

True but it doesn't hurt to make an effort. No one is looking for PHD thesis submission but neither is anyone expecting illegible tripe off an adult unless English is not their first language (and it's embarrassing that some of our foreign members have better English than some of the natives).

The whole thing just looks like BS. As Chris says, these are old laggy turbos and though the two manifolds and intercooler pipes would be useful for someone wanting a pair of Garret GT25 or 28 DBB's, £3000 for this lot seems excessive. I'm sure you could have a modern kit made for not much more.

The LF-A has sweet f*ck all to do with Supras. It's a two seater for a start (and the FT-SH is a 2+2). Regarding the GTR-LM, does that mean they will be entering a RWD GTR for Le Mans or will they be entering the LMP1 class and having this GTR as a commemorative?

It isn't about money. Some of the biggest prats I've ever met could afford to wipe their arses on £50 notes and wouldn't flinch when presented with a five figure bar tab, some of the most sound people I've met haven't got 2 pennies to rub together. Taste, common sense, decency, manners, decorum, etiquette, a sound moral compass and intelligence are all free.

Are you having a laugh? I'd say advertise it at £12k and see what happens, the market is bloody slow though, the same cars in the classifieds for 3-4 months, not that cars are over priced but becuase people just do not want to buy any car at the moment unless it's sub £2k.

I have noticed the the amount of newbies buying very cheap cars (I don't mean seasonal or credit crunch cheap, I mean sheds) and then asking stupid questions has ramped up considerably in the last 4 months or so. A lot are genuine nice guys getting onto the next rung of the performance car ladder, but Christ there area lot of muppets joining up. This isn't unique to mkivsupra.net though, pistonheads is going through the same thing, it's like the peasants have just been given access to the internet.

I read it in both the Indy & Mirror on Sunday night (Mondays papers), it's the badgers idea of getting people to spend more money, or just start spending money and the difference will be made up from more public borrowing (ie Cameron can worry about paying it back in two years time) and this will be run in tandem with other tax freezes and extended tax deadlines & thresholds.
