  1. Wish I'd seen this thread 8-9 weeks ago! Wheelmania Vortex fit over UK brakes, 8x18f, 9x18r, I'll get the offsets tomorow.
  2. It's on my to-do list- I'm constantly forgetting.
  3. I bought some wheels/tyres from a shop in Maidenhead about 7 weeks ago, with the delivery date for sometime this week, just now they phone to say there has been a f*** up and the wrong PCD has been made. I have a trackday on Sunday and REALLY need some wheels. I have UK brakes and don't want to spend huge amounts on these (will consider 2nd hand). Where can i get something in the time remaining!!!!
  4. Hi- does anyone know what it involved for the jap 'mot'??? It's bi-yearly isn't it?
  5. A dude in the Celica GT4 car club is setting up a rolling protest from up North, to down South, picking up (and losing) people as they go along. They are protesting against Scameras and Talivans for revenue purposes. All makes and marques welcome, inc bikes, vans, trucks too. You need to be a member to visit GT4OC, but you can read the hyperlink to IMOC for free, where he goes into more detail (ie not speeding or breaking laws as it defeats the purpose). http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4961 (hope this ain't breaking forum rules btw)
  6. How much is it to have an e-manage & profec boost controller mapped?
  7. ... little animations from on the top left of each post? (ie the gyrating brunette in terribletuners).
  8. I'm going up to Brunters on the previous Sunday with a group of 40ish cars (anything from VX220's to lambo Murci's to RUF CTR's- the yellow one at TOTB a while ago), we are getting verified top speed runs if you want to compare??? Some of the chaps have dataloggers so should be able to get some 0-100mph times too. Shame I can't make it on the Wednesday- anyone going to take any videos?
  9. Hi, a friend of mine runs Surrey RR- he's got a shootout day on saturday, and has 8 places left over, you'll get power at wheels and at (etimates)fly- you can have a print out to give a baseline for future mods too: [email protected], email this address to book.. Cars already running include TVR's, MG's and Evo's £35, This Sat. Running times etc will be emailed to people on Thursday. Gaz
  10. I copy and pasted it from the thread directly- see if you can see it here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=928&highlight=sequential+hybrids So glad it has nothing to do with turbo's!
  11. Hi chaps- I've done a search on hybrids, twins and big singles, and this keeps popping up: Please please please tell me what that's all about! Gaz
  12. Will it still pas the MOT?
  13. [Mr Burns] Excellent... [/Mr Burns]
  14. Hi- did a search, but it didn't answer my question, so sorry for a potential re-post: If you remove the second cat, but leave the first on, will the car still pass the MOT? If so, if you leave the first cat on, could a Blitz SBC raise the boost over factory? What is a quiet, yet decent breathing exhaust? (cat-back- can't have loud stuff as my wife has a major hearing prob) Instead of using a FCD- could a GReddy E-manage be used instead? Would it be better? Would it be more cost effective to use a Blitz ECU (like that one on Fensport) than an E-manage and a boost controller? Cheers.
  15. I've got a big box full of JDM calipers that i don't need...
  16. I've got EBC redstuff which I'm just bedding in, so far, so good, bit noisy when they are cold though (squeal a bit). I tried Greenstuff on my MR2T, and thought they were crap, so was a bit worried about Red stuff, but they've suprised me so far.... initial bite isn't bad, they certainly do the job, but I haven't 'pushed' them if you know what i mean- I have a track day at Brunters in March, so i'll find out then.
  17. Amen to that dry weather!!! Got the brakes done today- jeez what a difference! Wheels are a pain though, running on some borrowed UK 17's (like you do) as the new 18's were never going to fit on the front.
  18. Was that your Supe at Dave Stones workshop on Monday? I was suprised how nice it looked without the spoiler.
  19. Argh- sorry, got my S's and R's mixed up.
  20. GAIN should be on setting 5 i think- it was the same as my MR2. I had the SBC-specR- which is for single turbo use- the specS is for twinturbo's. It's probably worth it to stump up the £15 Racelogic demand to release the instruction manual- I would have given you mine, but I gave it away with my s/h when I px'd the MR2. I'll dig out a phone number for you tomorow...
  21. Some of you are 19/20/21!!!!!! 'kin ell what the hell do you pay for insurance?????????????????? My first car was a 1983 Fiat Uno 45, in 1998. Progressed to a Clio 1.4, a Pug 306DT (still my daily driver), Escort XR3I Zetec, 270bhp MR2, then the Supra TT. Driven some intresting cars on the way, most vivid were a Lotus Esprit Turbo and a Tuscan.
  22. The fronts might be 9x18 then- I have a memory like a seive. Oh well, only one way to find out -gulp! I spent most of Sunday night on the internet trying to find some wheels that ween't comicaly priced, it was actually quite stressful... Cheers! Gaz
  23. I went to Motorworld in Maidenhead, the assistant then promptly phoned a supplier who had a better database than himself, and came up with just two wheels that would fit (without spending mega money or going up to 19's), one set were Milli Miglia's, which looked terrible, the other were the Fox's, which looked really nice as it goes. I can't remember the offsets or widths (8.5 & 9inch possibly???). I couldn't fault the service, they worked hard to find a set for me (I was in the shop for 1.5 hours while he tore his hair out). God I'm worried now!!!
  24. They haven't arrived yet, but iirc they are 255/45/18 & 275/40/18 Fox Evo6 (yeah i know Chav specials, but they were the only ones that really fitted that i liked the look of), i believe the assistant took into account any future brake upgrades.
