185mph for a bone stock Supra???? How much road did they use? 25 laps of Daytona??? I was only doing 153mph at Bruntingthorpe on Sunday. Would have thought you would need atleast a 5 mile straight to go that fast in a stock car. If a Ruf R Turbo has 550bhp, and does 217mph, then surely a Supra (similar shape, bit heavier) would only need 500bhp? Another thing, if Toyota only made the wing deletable on the JDM's, but not the export cars, I'd leave it on when aiming for high speed runs, for the sake of stability.

Interesting bit of bollocks: anyway 0-60 and 1/4 mile times don't mean shit for on road performance, take a saxo VTS and BMW E46 325i for example, the BMW has a quicker 0-60 and a slightly higher top speed, the reason it is quicker 0-60 is because it has a lot more traction off the line, if you do a rolling start the cars are level until well over 100 mph, also remember power/weight should be calculated using the @wheels bhp otherwise it's incorrect the bmw transmission loss is 35-40% whereas the VTS is around 20% loss. i could bollock on for ages but noone would care. ------------------------- I can't help but feel that if a BMW lost 30-40% of it's power through the tranny, a few enginners in Munich would be hung by the scrotum in the public square.

I've got a bog standard GZ, yesterday, while searching for a tow-hook to rescue a TVR we noticed I had two exhaust pipes under the car, the tarmac was just too hot to lay down and have a really good look, but it appeared to be two seperate pipes (one each side of the car), which joined just before the rear silencer- is this normal? As I though T made a big song and dance about weight saving single pipe systems?

Been parked up all day at the shell garage on the A40 with a mental orange flip- anyone here?

If I was to use a electronic boost controller- say a Trust Greedy E01, to use with an E-manage, would I still need the restrictor ring? Also, can you get exhausts that aren't 5 inches in diameter?

What are the drag cd's for the Supra? I read somewhere it's .31, but is that with, or without the rear wing & active lip?
