    Gearbox

Well had a few more goodies installed. The gearbox (Auto) is on its limit really, ordered a HKS cooler for her, but I think the strain of the kick down on serious boost has done the damage. Do I now go for a tiptronic, Manual or Auto. Either way its going to have to be modifed. I orginally only wanted to go for 500bhp - 550bhp, but the quest of the power has caught me, so will more than likely go above that. Any suggestions ? I have been told my a friend who has driven all the above that the tiptronic has a very long delay, the manaul you are always looking for gears and you race up the gearbox with no fun ? and advises me to go for a uprated auto box. Whats your Ideas and suggestions ? Boost
  2. thanks mate order placed
  3. Hi Guys I have put my new wheels on, but I require longer wheel studs, as I am only getting three turns on the front wheels. Anyone know where I can get some ? Mr whiffin ? Boost
  4. Greedy, trust and blitz gauges have a fitting kit that cost like 40 quid. You unscrew the oil filter, fit the adaptor plate, screw a new oil filter in, plug you engine temp and engine pressure gauges in there. Not sure which gauges you have. Mr Boost
  5. don't bother with the UK injectors go even bigger and get her upto 550!! Boost
  6. Like a muppet, i did not really understand where to tap into the system for best results, so i removed the instructions to read over again and now i have lossed em. Done all the wiring and fitting, I just need to know where do you plug the actual sensor? Any help would be very apprecaited. boost
  7. ah thats what I meant at the crank. confusing stuff for me.
  8. okay good stuff and about 340-360 at the wheels ? Cheers Matey
  9. it was 324 nearly standard with just the exhaust and air filter or is that the crank ? sure the bloke on rev bob said wheels not sure..
  10. mine was doing that. It turned out to be a wire behind the mileometer the blue silver and red one that was pinched inbetween the dash. Martin
  11. what bhp do you think i will be running now ? approx as every car is different. HKS Induction HKS exhaust de-catted HKS Plugs TRL DSCC + FCD Blitz- SBC-ID II running 1.29 bar.....is that a safe limit. no knocking or pinking or lack of fuel found so far ? 15. Snoopers!!!! I used to sell these and have owned many. The best radar detector by far is the S5.....Hardly any false alerts and the distance range is brilliant. The 815I is pants as it false alerts all the time. Gps Geodys is brillant to, but you still need a radar detector aswell. IMHO buy the gps one and then spend 80 quid on a s1 radar detctor. I have now sold all my radar detectors apart from the s1. It looks like the s5 it hardly false triggers and is pretty damn good. Hope it helps boost
  16. Unscrew the three screws at the back of the wheel, then lift the centre section up carefully (the bit with supra on it) Then use a 19mm socket to remove the big nut. The wheel is free now, but you may have to knock it a few times to loosen it. Martin
  17. Well Me and Justin fitted mine, The small pipe we cut down to suit. The pipe suplied is very long for alternative fittings, so I would cut that down, also my screw setting is as far out as it will go, without it falling off, about 1.5 turns in. Hope that helps. Martin
  18. I thought that was the thing that dims the lights on the speedo. pwter petts is the man to talk too.
  19. Thanks for the advice guys. I have fitted the HKS plugs and all seems okay again now. Cheers and Beers Boost
  20. Hi All I picked up my HKS plugs yesterday from Peter Connelly, anyone know what gab should be used for these plugs. Boost
  21. thanks for the good info guys, Yeah I need some more pads then and with the castrol srf fluid should be better. As for the ducts on the front brakes, have any of you done this...any pictures ? Martin
  22. I am after pure stopping power. The UK brakes are the best brakes in a car I have ever come accross, but with the more power (no cat) they seem well not as good, I am putting castrol srf brake fluid in hopefully before billing, but with the mods planned to get her into 700 bhp mark, I'd rather do the brakes first. Brembo do a 6 pot conversion and tarox do a 12, Thinking might just try grooved discs alaround first... what you think ? boost
  23. at the mo 18" tsw venoms but going for 19"s very soon
