Hi Guys I have managed to get another freebie!!! Its a Top Secret Steering wheel, the quality of the wheel it self looks quite bad, Its came from a Import MR2, I have managed to repaint the wheel (colour coded) and had the replacement sticker made up. I am off to buy a BOSS kit this dinner for it. I am wanting to know the correct procedure of removal of standard wheel and any other points I should know off. Can anyone help ? I was going to disconnect the battery and then just remove the standard wheel hopefully without the air bag going off in my face!. Boost

Engine Mods so Far, HKS Super Drager with cat underneath driver seat taken out, HKS cone filter, HKS Super SQBOV (screwed all the way out). TRL Performance FCD Under hard acceleration, the car jerks sometimes, nothing to bad but its there, It had this before the trl FCD and the cat taken out, is this to do with the setting of the bov or something else ? Its a bit of a weirdo one mine, no one really knows, The car came to me as a UK CAR, but has jap style rear lights. It was imported by a UK Subaru main dealer for the manager to have, uk brakes bonnet vent and washers all done at factory. Never was limited to 112mph, all dash etc in mph. But I think the engine is jap spec anyone no how to tell ? Justin took a look at her and said it was Jap sepc then was unsure and then went to uk. Even toyota seem unsure. We will all have to gather around at billing and have a poll on it. It would be nice to know.

I have standard Intercooler, with both cats out will I be running to lean though ? Anyone uprated the Fuel pump ? or is it just better getting bigger injectors ?

I have taken out the cat underneath the car, should I have taken both out or should I have done the down pipe ? I got it done for free...yippee sponsored from an exhaust company. Boost

I would also stick a bit of greese on the nut and screw thread, as they can be a bit of a bugger to take off, I found using a small rachet was the best bet. Hope it all goes well

Highly recomend them. Don't buy anything else!!! My car looks like a UK CAR...well did look like one, I think its even got orginal UK MPH dash. The car is not speed limited and could not find any wires that were or had been connected to the ecu. But the display showed in KMH and the car had a cheap nasty converter behind the speedo. I had loads of problems with the active spoiler etc etc. Contacted peter betts at trl, fitted the device and the car is totaly different. All works okay, the steering is stiffer active spoiler has not failed once. Very happy quality piece of kit...with peter as a technical man around for assistance. Brillant Martin

Hi Guys After a Alarm installer really messed my car up, I have bought and fitted the DSC and VFCC from TRL Performance. All is okay know except that the main connector they broke (T7). So has anyone got or can get another T7 connector? The speedometre sometimes jumps and bouncers up and down, this is because two of the pins are knackered in the connector on the loom side. CARS DESIGNED FOR ROADS ABROAD OFTEN HAVE AN APETURE IN THE BUMPER FOR A NUMBER PLATE THAT DOES NOT MATCH A LEGAL UK SIZE. IN THE PAST MOTORCYCLE PLATES HAVE BEEN USED. INITIALLY THE DVLA ISSUED A STATEMENT TO SAY THAT THIS PRACTICE WOULD NOT BE PERMITTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 1ST 2001 HOWEVER ......... TRANSPORT MINISTER JOHN SPELLAR ANNOUNCED ON 31ST JULY THAT THE PRACTICE WOULD BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE. All info is on DVLA web site. Hope it helps.... Print it out and if you get stopped show it the police officer. .

I have a document from the DVLA stating if the car has a bumper bracket on the car (import only), your plate can be the same size as the bracket but not smaller. The ones on the supra front are 10.5" wides by about 3". I done this and never got stopped. I will find the doucment and post up. I recieved it last sempember Boost

yeah I thought I might have to takle the radiator off so going to flsuh the coolant anyway. Only reason I was going to do it myself was that toyota claimed a full day. It can't possibly take any longer than 2 hours, 30 mins on MKIII. Martin

What is the correct procedure of taking the steering wheel off without busting the air bag ? Going to replace stock wheel for a MOMO wheel (TOP Secret fake!)

Active spoiler sometimes fails to come down and at high speeds causes the engine warning light to come on, I have checked the error codes that show no fault. Sometimes it comes up and down as it feels... Going to check the whole wiring on this, I know some other members have this fault so I will find the cause / fix this weekend. Overdrive light flashing, usually under normal driving conditions, when she is being thrashed or is warm it never does it. Had this problem since clifford broke all my KMH to MPH wires, going to double check these too.

Hi Guys Paid 22 quid for a cambelt and 77quid for a drive belt. Going to swap them this weekend as I'd rather spend nearly 100 quid and change em now way before they should, rather than them going weak or breaking. Anything I should be aware off ? boost

Pearl colours are very popular at the moment..Advantage if you keep the same base colour you do not have to notify your insurance or the dvla. Hence my is black with gold pearl at the end of the month

Mine was a strange one, Offside one connection different, so I chopped them and soldered together,but the nearside connections fitted as they were. Yeah I also Have wired the lights up so they are fully functional. I just tapped into the side light wire, joined both wires, all seems okay and must admit actually improves the lighting. I don't know how technical you are, so if you need the colour codes etc just ask and I'll write them down. p.s They look great on. (Edited by mrboost at 8:59 am on Feb. 12, 2002)

My Pal is selling the skyline for a supra as they are far more sexy!!! wow a skyline driver that actual admits it!!! anyhow he can't afford a TT so he's going to buy an aero top n/a. The supe in question has a blitz exhaust fitted, so a HKS powerflow air filter would work a treat. I suggested NOS as a large BHP increase for so little money, what else can be done and what BHP should be about the max possible. Another customer for Justin :-)

Planned Mods De cat HKS Intercooler Type S Race Logic Traction Control Blitz Dual Solnoid Boost controller Boost Gauge anything else I should be looking for ? and what bhp should I aspect ?
