How many people are being made redundant? Have you had your consultation period yet? Is the consultation being delt with by workforce representative, union representative or individually (over a certain amount of redundacies and a representative has to be elected by law)? I hope that you are a member of a union as this is where they pay off. Our recognition has just been approved by the CAC because the company was refusing to recognise the union but was too late for the consultation. However we've two claims going to tribunal at the moment. One for Insufficient consultation and another for unfair selection (for the guys actually made redundant). We've just had redundancies at our place and they paid out the minimum allowed which is typical of our company.
