  1. Was that built as in oem, or built as in 264's etc? Supply and fit, or just fit?
  2. IIRC its not a garage trading on the forum.
  3. Sounds awful, good you had John to assist. Awful having to do it on your own and diagnose issues.
  4. Sorry, machined, not cast. I meant 'made in such a way that they are hollow' mind on something else
  5. They are hollow cast Nic, are most cams? There is no fault with them, its just the way it is, and its been known for years.
  6. They are hollow cast and as such can snap really easily. Remember mine?
  7. Id suggest a CO2 rather than a dry powder one, the powder apparently is hard to remove and makes such a mess.
  8. I think Jay had determined from compression check that it was cylinder one, had some fluid and was some way lower CR than others.
  9. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=208964
  10. Scott, believe this chap was ITRO 45 yrs old, so may be ok with insurance
  11. When you say 'a turbo' what do you mean?
  12. Fair point in that its not a can do and not a need to, and yes i guess a bodge fitment in a DIY sense could cause problems where they werent before. I wish id replaced mine, but i also would like to know why it failed. I guess in time we shall know
  13. I think its actually Scotist, so its allowed
  14. From personal experience, i would definitely replace the front main oil seal. While the crank pulley is off its not a big job, but one its all back together it is
  15. May just be a US thing where they run large duration very high lift cams.
  16. I know you are a scotsman, but the £10 to become a full member will open up our classified section for you, and the club will save you many times that amount!
  17. Super Its capability by the way
  18. Probably need to be a paid member to view classifieds
