  1. Anyone got any ideas please? I do think my first test is going to be to remove that wire from the injector and see how she goes first, but just after some fall back options.
  2. Did a search on youtube. There are some clips of this motor. Really sounds/looks weird when its running almost silent then the huge roar of the petrol engine cutting in.. Damn cool really.

  5. I find the STi with the C Diff a bitch in the wet on the understeer. Not played with taking the C diff off the AUTO setting in the wet yet though. Are the P1 cars prone to a bit of understeer in the wet also?
  6. We have an Imprezza STi now. 07 model. And I will admit, its good fun but my Supra is just twice as fast. No contest at all. Maybe it will be a bit closer with the prodrive mod which hikes it to 320BHP.
  7. I have actually tried the plugs on the defi control unit. All seemed fine. Unpluged and plugged back in. Still nothing. Yeah going to check the ECU side of the wiring when I get a chnace, just wanted some heads up if anyone could, as wondering whether just soldering the RPM monitor onto the injector wire would actually cause any abnormalitys. I can't see how, but I am not into my electronics as some on here are who could hopefully let me know how it would work.
  8. Hello all, Not sure whether this is linked to my new alarm install, but I have a few problems which I need some advice on. Firstly the car when hitting about 4.5-5k boost is starting to act like the RLTC is cutting in when it is not. Second turbo seems to come in fine but after the revs rise a bit more you start to see it splutter and all. Could this be down to the FCD being unplugged or something, as I have not checked the wires etc since the alarm installer has been down there. Or could it be linked to the wire they used which they spliced off the No: 6 cylinder injector which I have been told would be to monitor the RPM for remote start? Also the defi gauges are not working. The defi control unit has power, but the two gauges running off it have no light and do not work at all. Just wondering if there are any tests on where to start looking into this problem? Sorry for it to be a long post, just goto get this sorted now as not been able to use for car properly for a few weeks. Thanks in advance, Markie.
  9. Having somewhat the same problem. I am BPU and just had an Alarm fitted. So I am wondering whether its got something to do with a FCD and if its been mistakenly "unplugged" as mine is boosting fine, second turbo comes on at 4k and still ok, but then it feels/sounds like the RLTC is cutting in at about 4.5-5k but it cant be the RLTC. So I am going to check the FCD wiring. Anyone got a wiring diagram for the HKS one?
  10. It has anti hijacking also the remote start. Looks like the cash goes to Matt Its deffo monitoring something to do with getting info off the injector pulse anyway.
  11. Anyone any idea how I could test whether its a form of imobilation or whether they are just running power off it? Thinking about it, it cant be to power the alarm as surely the injectors don't have power going to them constantly...

  14. Yeah VVTi. Not one of the injector plugs are I have counted them and there are 6 plus this one at the end of the rail
  15. Ill have to grab the camera.. It is deffo part of the rail but its been spliced for the alarm.
  16. Just wondering what it is on the end of the fuel rail by the bulk head? I can see the injectors on the rail but at the end is another plug and just wondering what it does? Is it some sort of fuel primer or something? Would be nice if someone could help as I currently have my head under the bonnet and wondering why my alarm is taking a feed off it. Thanks..
  17. Its the Turbo timer 0 one I think they refer to it as. ie, voltage meter etc etc...

    Just finished fitting mine. What a nightmare. Nintendo starting to fight back. Had the chip which required a dremel to grid away some of the chip. All done now and all working. I was very proud of my soldering handy work :-)
  19. Has anyone got some of the facelift warning light plastic covers. The ones thats in the top part of the dash which keep track of traction control on/onn ABS warning light etc etc. Just after the covers if thats what they are called.

  21. I know my main beams are HID because they have that flicker when turning on and a blue tint to them. But just wondering if the main beam on cars are HID also or are they normal style like bulbs.
  22. Its just the normal headlights are HID though right? Cause mine looks like main beam are normal.
