  1. Nahh, was all blokes when I was there.. Oh and a chick in a goldish coloured soop.
  2. Yeah, the guy that got the plugs for me looked like he was having a very bad day.. Fair do's though, went and got them straight away for me. How come so many cars there then matey? You have more than one bay there? I only found it in the estate because I saw some Supras out the corner of my eye
  3. I was up at Miami GT today to pick up a set of plugs.. Just wondering if there was anyone on here that was there or I spoke to.. Cheers all, Marcus. P.s. Thanks to Paul E for his patience of giving me directions and all
  4. OK guys.. My next step tomorrow is to replace the plugs which I picked up today. I was thinking of putting in some new Denso Iridium 24's, as my mad thinking thought that if the plugs are a bit dirty etc then they are not producing a decent enough spark to burn the mix properly, so I hope putting in these new ones and resetting the ECU will help the LAMBDA reading on yet another emissions test next week. I will let you guys know how it goes.. However, if anyone has any other ideas or solutions, please let me know. Thanks, Marcus...
  5. No problem boyo.. Just glad to help out when I can, as I usally am the one asking the questions to others on here..
  6. Vaughany, I am 99% certain you have a fuse gone in the drivers side footwell fuse box. After doing my fog light convertion I blown about 6 fuses down there by connecting up the fog switch incorectly.. Hope you sort it out..
  7. Dude, the sensor is only 2 days old. So should be all nice and clean. Also, yes, I did do the ECU reset. Its odd now that it passes on the Hydrocarbons and the CO's but now stumbled on the LAMBA readings.. Odd thing is, he reakons with the old sensor that was reading CO's at 9% was giving a lower LAMBA reading, but now with new sensor pushing CO's into below 0.3% he says the LAMBA has gone up.. Very odd, just thinking its worth sticking in second CAT aswell, as I dont think there is anything wrong with the cars running... It really has been annoying, and the misses is moaning that I am not smiling at the moment.
  8. God damn thing failed again. This time because of the Lamba reading. It passed on HC's and CO's. Had a word with CW and he thinks fitting second CAT should do the job, and also see if the uprated fuel pump is on the 9V when on 1 turbo, then steps to 12V when second turbo kicks in. I checked with TDI and their kit runs at 12V all the time.. Is this good, bad? Anything I can do with the above pump if this is a bad mod? Just really cant beleive its now failed on this reading... Really put me on a downer..
  9. All, I have just replaced my O2 sensor in the exhaust. Nice shinny one Anyways, the guy at the MOT station said that if its still a touch over the limits tomorrow then he will put some of this system cleaner stuff into the ait intake pipe to clear stuff out. However, spoke to a guy today and said its good stuff as he did it to a Fiat Brava and just loads of gunk came out of the exhaust.. It sounds good if it cleans the system like this, but I was wondering if this gunky waste crap comes out of the exhaust, will it also muck up my new sensor which I have just fitted into the exhaust. Please any feedback on this or views would be brill.. Just wondering whether to let this guy use this cleaner stuff, as dont want to have to replace the sensor again due to being gunked up and all, Thanks, Marcus.
  10. Got MOT second test tomorrow now. Hopefully after its passed with flying colours on the emissions, I was wondering how hard it is to remove the temporary first CAT which was put in for the MOT and to re-fit insert pipe? If its easy with a jack and some axle stands I will try it myself. Will I also need anything extra such as gaskets or some exhaust sealent or is it more of a bolt on job?
  11. Thanks for the info guys.. Very helpful.
  12. Going to change my plugs. Just wondering if its really worth changing these coil pack things. Anyone got idea of price for them, and are they as mentioned above. A distributor/rotor arm less solution. Sorry, but I dont actually know what these do. Not come across them before.
  13. Mine has earth grounding kit. Idle is very good and even. Told it does increase performance a little also.
  14. Yeah will try and get something sorted for tomorrow. Chris, where do you find your fuel additives. Just for future ref.. And thanks for the sensor fellar!
  15. Whats the coil packs? These instead of distributor/rotor arm solutiuon? Would changing plugs, coil packs and leads be an easyish job?
  16. Just wondering what can be replaced such as: Plugs, IGN leads, Coils? I am not sure about the IGN system on the supra, can anyone explain what can be/or has to be replaced now and again. i.e. Do they have rotor arm and distrub hidden somewhere, as I could not find one after a quick look about the engine bay.
  17. Bit of good news, but of bad. The good news is that the emissions went from 9% down to 0.6%. Limit is 0.3%. B*st*rd still failed me, wants me to go back again on Friday. He did not even try and really heat the CAT up at all, I think he is just after some easy cash. I still had half a tank of fuel with some additives to clean the system etc, so I am going to run all of that through and full up with some fuel and I think it will then pass.. *Fingers crossed* However, chuffed it has dropped SO MUCH! Must of been that new TRD oil cap I fitted yesterday Nahh, looks like it was the O2 sensor totally nacked. Thanks for all your help and input guys.. Just hope after working through this cleaner it will be sorted.
  18. Ohh, finally, something in Wales Only 20 minutes away from me and some of the other Welsh boyos on here. If you need a black soop mines available.. These models tidy or what?
  19. Hi all, This evening I finished doing some jobs to the soop to try again and get the damn thing passed the emmissions.. Fitted new LAMBDA/O2 Sensor - Thanks CW it came today.. Hopefully its sealed properly and wired in correctly Added some fuel injector etc cleaner to try and cut down a bit more on emissions and help fuel econ. Also still have 1st CAT in and added in the Greedy TI Exhaust silencer thingy in to try and help make the end of the exhaust alo narrower to help... Took it for a run. Seemed to run fine. She always seems to idle quite low on rev mind, under 1000. So, you guys think this should help? Hopefully will get some better results. If not, I will need someone off here to have a good look at her and fix the thing. Hopefully, she is not running really rich anymore either.. *Fingers Crossed*
  20. The Evo's have ESP. Well the later versions anyway. - Erm, I think anyway
  21. So these plugs are good shit?? How can I clean them without causing damage to them?
  22. Same question from me Are these the best for my car? Or are them IRD24 plugs better.
  23. Hi all.. Just found out what plugs are in my car at the moment. Anyone know how good these are: HKS SUPERFIRE PLUGS S40i Also, any good way to clean plugs like these for the supras, as from the invoice it looks like they were new last April. Thanks, Marcus.
  24. Crap, I did this not so long ago and attached the resister to the positive leg of the LED. Does this mean it is doing nothing or?
  25. Hi all, Sending car for MOT today hopefully with a new O2 sensor fitted, as the first test, she was WELL over the limit! If this does not work, then I would of had a guts full of it! I would like to know who can check her over and also get an MOT pass. Someone who knows these cars like the back of their hand Please.. Also, someone who is not to far away. Please get back to me offering your services if it fails later on. CW not too far away I think.. Anyone else?
