  1. Damn first time I have been pulled in the Supra after having it a good few months. They pulled me over, so I pulled up and stopped. Took my seatbelt off and the guy came up along side the car. He said to me that when I passed him, I was not wearing a seatbelt, even though I had just taken it off when I stopped!!!! I said, I just took it off because you pulled me. He replied, "It's ok, I am not stopping you for that, I am stopping you for the liecence plate being too small". I got a producer for documents, and a written warning about the number plate being too small. Have these guys got nothing better to do than pull legit drivers/owners over instead of pulling over some real doggy gezzers running without MOT/insurance etc etc... Anyways, not going to change the plate I found it odd though that he said all that crap about me not having a seat belt on. Wonder if they were trying to get me on other things? Anyone else experienced this. Thinking of reporting it, as it is a false accusation saying I did not have a seat belt on when I did and only removed it when I stopped for them.
  2. Anyone know if the ZEX wet system will be just as good and safe as the above? I just don't want anything blowing my lovely engine
  3. What does this fogger system do then with the mini max controller?
  4. All, I am toying with the idea of getting some NOS installed. Anyone got any ideas on how these systems perform on TT's, and is it not good for the engine? Just generally after whether its worth it on the TT and the ADV and DIS of the wet systems. Looking at the ZEX wet system operated by WOT.
  5. I think I am going to get a decent aftermarket IC spray kit now. This should also help with the engine temp I would of thought, plus, it will help increase performance as it will provide the IC with more cooling effect, therefore, condensing the air more. Anyone fitted one of these yet?
  6. erm, just been told by someone in work about this system... I thought they were on about the water spray system like some of the Imprezas have where water is sprayed onto the intercooler. I can't belive this system injects water into the engine, surely this is the one thing you never want to do with any engine. I always thought - Water in engine = Engine going to go bye bye's. You guys really think its a good mod to do?
  7. That carbon one looks really nice. Seen other CF dashes that don't look quite right.. Anyone in the UK can do these of the same quality, else, Heckler, you got some web link or something to this company?
  8. Problem has gone now when I tried again on a good bit of road. Maybe I was too paranoid about the work I did. Or it really was a strong gust of wind
  9. Yes, I will have to remember that. Lesson learned the hard way I guess. Can split rims be refurbed? Its the nice shinny chrome bit which has been damaged.
  10. Hi all, Does anyone know if garages have any policy or insurance if they damage your alloys in putting on new tyres.. Had some new ones fitted earlier this week. Just got car out the garage to clean it and almost cut my finger open on 2 metal bits sticking out off the rim. Defo looks like a machine has grazed the rim and folder back a sharp peice of metal. No damage or scrape to the tyre.. Car has not even been used since I got home that day. Any info please?
  11. You have Windows XP with Service pack 2 installed? Sounds like the inbuilt security funchions of the SP 2 on first read. You can adjust the security etc if you do have SP2 to allow you more control and get rid of the problems you are experiencing. If you don't have XP or SP 2 installed, then other things to look into.
  12. Just got car back to normal. No CATS anymore and brand new tyres. Took it out just to make sure all things were OK, however, noticed a tiny bit of movment, like a gust of wind hitting the side of the car when the second turbo kicks in.. Any ideas? Also, re-setted the ECU and the second turbo not kicking at the usal 4000 RPM.. It kicks in after the 4000 mark. Should this settle down to normal after a while?
  13. Earier this evening got in from doing this horrible job.. Somedays I wish I had one of them garage lifts.. Went in nice ans clean, came out looking like I had just done a days work down the coal mine! Awful time at the start, could not put the axle stands on full height, so I had to get under the car with the bottom of the engine and the transmission right in front of my face! I was very scared at first as I was thinking to myself "Shit if something breaks now and this falls, I am in the s*it" Thankfully thought, the misses came to see me in the garage. She was re-assuring me and saying I was OK. Then stayed until I have finished the job, passing me tools etc.. Awwww, arnt they good, little lovelys they are..! Anyways, job has been done. I don't recommend someone doing this unless they have got a nice garage lift, as it does makes life so hard! So, how much are them lifts?
  14. What flip out monitor guys? I was looking for one to mount in the glove box
  15. Could be you also need to reset ECU for the car to learn new mixtures and all with the new type of more explosive fuel.. NEWBI to leaning techie stuff though, so take my advice with a pinch of salt mate.. Someone who knows more will hopefully to able to help you more.
  16. Just had some new BS's on the rear of size 275/35/18 Anyone got a good idea of the best pressure for these? They have 38PSI in them at the moment.
  17. Yes this is correct. Quite simple fitting really.
  18. Well, first I swapped out the O2 sensor and run some Slick cleaning stuff through with the fuel, then filled up with otmimax and run that through for a good day or two. That brought CO emissions from 9.0% down to 0.3% and also made the hydrocarbons under the limit, but I was still getting over the limit LAMBDA readings. So, I then replaced the sooty plugs. This then brought the CO's way below the limit, HC's were 8 and the limit is 200! and the LAMBDA reading also managed to get under the safe limits..
  19. Ohhh yes.. *hush* nodding dog! The beauty has passed her MOT today. I am SO chuffed, as some of you know, I had a nightmare time with the emissions.. Anyways, all is cool now. Just goto re-fit the front de-cat pipe which I hope is quite easy, and then re-set ECU. Ohh, I am so happy... Someone's going to get spoilt tonight
  20. Why dont I have anyone in the area ro meet up with and chat to about Supras *sniff* *sniff*
  21. Whats the rule of thumb on how often to change them?
  22. Ohh ohh ohh, does this thing effect emission testing??? If so, are there any replacment bits you can get for it, it ifs got old and not working to full potential?? Maybe this will help my emission problem!!
  23. IK27's? I got the Denso IK24's, did not know they did 27's. Are they better again? By the way, just getting a bit paranoid.. Would it be noticable if one or more of the plugs were not firing? Just doubting myself and car DIY skills here
  24. Managed to get around to fitting the new plugs today.. Man, what an ordeal compared to normal cars. Them damn pipes between the cam covers were the worst! Plugs I took out looked quite sooty all around the head except by the tips. So hopfully these new ones should help a bit with the damn emission problem. Anyways, all back togeather now and the car seems to run fine... If anything it feels alot smoother and a bit quicker on the uptake. Going to try and get all this oil out of my finger nails now
  25. Sorry YULIA Well, next time I am there I hope to be in my car, not the Jeep. Supro, was you one of the crew when I turned up? Although I was only there for about 5 minutes..
