  1. Yeah.. Was done by Thor a while back. Forgot to mention.. I have a good wad of paper work to go with her as well. Even the original import docs I think..
  2. Hi all, Feelers out for selling my car. Looking at around £13.5k ONO Moving, so will have nay room for the old girl.. Milage is approx 62,000; PM me if you are interested or are after any other details/pics. Take a look at the link below in my sig for the vast info on the car. MOT due April Timing belt just been changed (Well a couple of hundred miles ago) No problems with her Will be hellish sad to see her go, but needs must and times change! Thanks..
  3. Just as I thought.. Thank god, as I had finished putting it all back togeather before you replied as I had faith in my logic Although there is a little bastard sitting on my shoulder still asking if I am sure I put it in the right way
  4. Hello, Just to clarify.. It should fit like this? Red thing is the timing belt. Cheers Rolf..
  5. Crap, cant remember which way the timing belt guide disc faces.. I looked at it and think it makes sense to have the disc sides turning outwards. Is this the correct fitting? In the original guide it says cup side outwards, but what does that mean?
  6. Iky's tool worked a treat.. Handy also, as I was able to rest it against the frame so it was a one man job.. Although I do owe him some bolts as they are a bit bent now Pulley tool simple and worked a treat also. Two questions though.. Can I put some lube on the crank shaft when re-fitting the pulley for it going on easier? Also the belts have different numbers on.. They look the same though.. Its after the 13568- You all think they would be the same though?
  7. I have the pulley off now. Will have a look for you.
  8. Where is the cheapest pleace for the Toyota Red pre-mixed? Will need (9 litres!!!!) when CAM belt change has been finished.
  9. Ahh a fellow member also doing his CAM belt.. You got the pulley bolt off yet boyo? Why the feck is it so tight!
  10. After having some issues with my crank pulley bolt this weekend, it got me thinking whether an Air Compressor and tools (especially an impact wrench) is a good investment. Kind of like a power washer, good for all kinds of jobs and wish you had purchased one years ago... Not an expert on them, so don't know how true it is about them being able to remove nuts and bolts easily which would usally take a big steel breaker bar and some good old groaning, swearing and grunting! Please enlighten me on the facts.
  11. It work well? Don't suppose you got a pic of it do you?
  12. I would deffo return it, no worries there.. What does the Toyota one look like? I have been looking at the aftermarket ones. But I understand if you do decide you dont want to let it out of your sight. I would be the same. You after any cash for the rental?
  13. I know some people used to loan out their home made tools, but is anyone else still doing this, as I heard some stopped it because they got mucked about too much. If anyone is still loaning out the locking tool, please can you PM me. Just thought I would try my luck before going out and getting one off the web or even investing in an impact wrench.. Thanks, Marcus.
  14. IT LIVES!!!! I was just wondering this, as I am going to try and ring Toyota for some parts.. I was just going to go for the belt though. Or should the crank shaft seal and tensioners be replaced also... I was not even contemplating the water pump!
  15. Hi all, Found these vids on youtube.. Any of the guys who do these a lot vouch for him doing all the things thats needed and all correct? They seem quite good. Although its bound to be with the engine out I guess. Link to part 1 of 5:
  16. Can just the cam belt be changed or does others have to be done at the same time? Well not have to but good practice to?
  17. Renewed with Sky this year with mods. Very good price, very good service.. Thanks boyo's!
  18. Whats the ball park figure I am looking at for a Toyota Genuine one? £80? As I know some of the dealerships I have tried before had different pricing oddly enough.
  19. Can anyone tell me if the 1.6 diesel has an easy access hole in the undertray for the engine oil sump plug? I cant see anything, but I dont have a lift to see properly. I did try taking off the undertray also, but this only resulted in 2 out of 3 bolts snapping!!! French crap!! Stupid the car also has more undertray than Vettel's RB car! Also, could anyone confirm if the air filter housing is actually situated at the back of the engine by the bulk head! Obviously the best place to situate it... Flaming muppets!
  20. Chris have any pics of the springs etc. They have some sort of spring already which they have had for ages.
  21. Wonder how the rears are. I think the rears are the worst.
  22. Anyone know of the best fitting UK size caliper pads. Reason I ask is because my pads are starting to clunk a bit again after the dry spell we have had. All is fine but the pads just seem to not glide and fit well so clunk when first applying the brakes, even the MOT guy commented, but said he checked over the calipers and all and said everything looked fine. I think they currently house the Endless pads (Blue) Last time I had them out I put a touch of greese on the runners and the problem was solved, now back to square one. Any suggestions on pads welcomed
  23. Managed to find your garage today. Closed up. I got your number off the front though.. When you back open for business bud?
  24. Where abouts are you based fellar?
