  1. Hey all, Still trying to learn things. But I have a few questions. For replacing con rod and their bolts, do you have to have the engine out, as it looks like the bolts do up from the crank side and therefore I am guessing are impossible to do if you dont have the engine upside down? Also, for running 600+ would it be safe to say that all I would need to replace really are the con rods themselfs and their bolts? All other internal stuff should be ok? Thanks in advance, Marcus.
  2. Guys, how can I double check mine has something wrong with the back box? Do you just take it off and give it a shake, and if something is loose is nacked? Just sounds like its leaking somewhere, but there is no leaks. I had been putting some flames out of it and the car popping the other week. Just want to be totally sure before I buy a replacement.
  3. Whats the top out on power then on a VVT-i before having to worry about internals such as rods pistons etc?
  4. 400 at the fly is pea easy mate with just BPU on a VVT-i. Your almost there in standard form I think. Arnt they 370 stock? The most boost to run on the stock turbos is around 1.2 BAR so a good idea would be a FCD / Boost Controller / FMIC. Injectors should be fine at 1.2 BAR, though going over that you would need bigger. Also, uprated fuel pump would be a good buy too.. Anyways, this is what I think judging from my car, but I am sure someone will be able to clear this up for you who knows more about the engines than I. Welcome by the way.. Ahhh yeah. Decat exhaust system. You will need a restrictor ring.
  5. None of the planned upgrades done. But I am at a crossroads at the moment. If there was someone interested in her then I would sell for the right price and get myself some of the Ultima GTR kit and start building, but if I dont do that I am on the brink of buying some upgrade kit for a single of MVP. I am really not good at putting a price on things, but she is in lovely condition and only done 52k miles. Not on the list is my Kenwood touch screen with Music keg fitted into her aswell which was flaming expensive! Any ideas on price guys?
  6. If the price is right I could be persuaded.
  7. Oh that does not sound too good. Making me think now.
  8. OK thanks guys... Will just keep the battery topped up.. Checking on this, as it was a toss up between upgrading the Soop or selling it and starting to buy the first parts of the Ultima GTR kit. Any views? At the moment leaning towards the Soop so will be stuck in the garage until I get the upgrade parts as exhaust a bit nackered and needs replacing.
  9. Hello all, Any ideas of what would need to be done to the Soop if I was not going to be using her for a few weeks. Possibly 2-3 months. I was wondering if it would need say jacking up for weight off the wheels or something else bizzare... Thanks in advance, Marcus.
  10. PS3 buyers are gonna be eating their words I think.. Few things that I have heard is that the PS3 controllers cant have the vibration, plus FIFA or Pro EVO Soccer wont be on the PS3 for 12 months as Microsoft brought the rights, and also. At that games conference E3 the PS3 demos were run on a 360 as the PS3 would not work.. Sony PS3 is going to flop like a shaggy dogs hair style!
  11. IE 7 has the tab browser thingy now. I am using IE 7 beta 3. Seems fine and had no problems with it.

    1200hp Supra

Does not look like a 98 facelift anyway. All 98's are VVT-i's arnt they? Interior is of a pre-VVT-i I like the bit about sending questions through ebay.. Says don't because it goes straight to his junk mail.. Funny as duck...
  13. They can kiss my a$$ if they bring in anymore monitoring on speed. Speed traps cause more close shaves than anything on the road! People just jamming the brakes on when seeing them. Also, odd how I saw more speed vans than normal on the roads Bank Holiday Monday. Sure, the speed traps are not for more revenue - Honest!!! Annoys me!
  14. Looks nice.. Whats the pipes diameter on that boyo?

    Welsh Motor Show....

I was looking forward to seeing a Pagani Zonda, but I did not find it Really love them cars!! Whats the 0-60 on that shopping trolley then fellar? The front pic of the Sup's makes me even more want to change that front bumper of mine. I liked the one on that white supra you mentioned. Only spoke to the guy briefly, seemed a good fellar.
  16. Me want some to!!! Get that lathe (
  17. Not selling your car anymore then Terry? Glad to hear it. Looks lovely in them pics.

    Welsh Motor Show....

Was about 2ish I think. Did not know what else to do there really. Seen the cars drifting and all, been around all the stands etc... Felt a bit chavey to me. I just cant beleive people brought buckets and sponges with them to just wash their cars contantly all day..... Did you see that Supra there where they had RIVETED the fibre bodykit to the metal shell of the Supra.. What a mess!
  19. I think 4" then.. Any suggestions though for the best ones? Again, after sound, power and if poss resonably quite on the motorway drive. The Greddy does give me a fecking headache after an hour or so..
  20. Optima ones are excellent. Pricey, but I have been nothing but impressed with mine.
  21. Hi all, Any views on what the best exhaust is for the Turbo'ed Supra? I currently have a Greddy TI. But after yesterday and a few too many fire spiting/banging showing off I think the back box is shot. Sounds rattly like I have a leak somewhere. So, just wondering what size and exhaust is best for power and if possible silent on the motorway drive? Looking for something to go with a single tubbie also, as this winter is upgrade time, so does that mean 3" or 4" be best? Thanks in advance, Marcus.
  22. What is the best one then guys? V-Power or this BP 102RON? Anyone had both and noticed any difference?
  23. Why getting rid of then mate so fast? Has'nt done something to upset you has it?
  24. gee wizz 3 grand!! Looks a bargain!!
