  1. Hi, My old Supra had the rear hatch all smoothed, no badges, no wiper and no washer jet. Most of the the time rain wasn't a problem. If the car was stationary and there was a lot of rain droplets, I used a squeegee/ice scraper to brush off the droplets. The rear glass was limo black so that didn't help!
  2. I would stay away from Toyo TR-1s. My Supra was my daily driver, about 15,000 miles a year. I've gone through full sets of T1R's and GSD3's. The T1-Rs are similar in the dry as Goodyear F1 Eagle GSD3 but worst in the wet.
  3. If you haven't done so, advertise it on Pistonheads - Big demand in the Scandinavian countries

  5. I wish I could have taken mines to show you the remnants of Knight-Racers crappy work but I'm afraid I sold my car a few weeks ago and it's in Denmark now. Avoid them, the grief is not worth it.
  6. Most common screen tint colour on imports that I've seen is green
  7. If the seller is a tosser, why buy it?! Chances are he will be dishonest and pull a fast one if he can. Go through a reputable company or contact an importer like Juergen. I've used RAC inspection on a Supra before and found that they were very good! They spotted a leaking Heater Matrix (I wouldn't have found that) and a brake fluid leak which I did suspect. Also some underbody damage...that's why the seller was reluctant for an inspection
  8. Hotpoints are the worst (Source: Dixons group Coverplan manager!) Try and stick to German brand like Bosch. Having two units is inefficent so clothes take longer to wash/dry and more fuel bill!
  9. Absolutely normal - It's well documented. I had my car for 3 years/45,000 miles. That noise was there when I bought my car and did not ever get worst and nothing dropped off!
  10. Take legal action right now. If he has got a proper business then his insurance should cover it anyway.
  11. This one Rob: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=72982 Will swap for decent branded car CD player with face-off. Cheers, Ro
  12. bump! Any Cheaper?!
  13. Hi Wayne, Cheers! I got the asking price. I've told the new owner about our club - Hopefully he joins soon. Ro
  14. Yes it's a J-spec, Ceramic turbos. I have no idea if they are originals. If they are replacements then it must have been done in Japan. When I put a blingy heat shield on, the turbos and pipework were a rusty brown! Don't know if that indicates they are very old or if thats the normal colour! Cheers Greg. It's a real shame mate. Will you go for one again - You'll know what kinda things to watch out for? Yes - Oil change is very important and use good quality oil - There's more info in the tech section also on sparkplugs. Iridiums are very pricey. May be try the copper NGK equivalent next time and see how you get on. With my Denso Iridiums, the car became less responsive after about 10-11K miles. I think Iridiums are supposed to last much more longer but that's probably for a non modded N/A car. Also there has been cases where the Iridium spark plugs break up! If you start with a good car and keep it maintained then there's no reason why it shouldn't serve you well
  15. 45,000 miles on BPU! Still going strong! I have now sold my Supra and I though I would report on my experience of BPU. I bought my car at 82,000 miles (nearly 3 years ago) and sold it at just over 127,000 miles. When I bought it, the mechanical mods were just an induction kit () and a rear exhaust. My Supra had the top speed limiter (112 MPH). I modded the Supra to BPU straight away and the car has been very good to me! The only problems were a leaking Boost pressure tank when I first had the BPU mods and a dodgy coil pack clip that caused misfiring (code 14) about a year ago. I ran the car up to 1.2 bar with occasional boost spike to 1.3 (I used high boost gain/duty). I didn't have an AFR gauge but have used a dyno a few times to make sure everything is OK. I always changed the oil at every 3-4 thousand miles and stuck to semi synthetic 10W 40. The car has never smoked or suffered from cold start smoke from dodgy valve stem seals. When I bought the car there was a tiny bit of oil in the intercooler pipe (which I understand is normal) and this has stayed the same. The car was still pulling as strongly as ever! I did stick to Denso IK24 iridium spark plugs on my car as I found my car to be slightly more responsive than the copper equivalent. But Denso's are expensive and only good for 10-11K miles on my car. They have bad reputation too for breaking up! Lol! So I have definitely enjoyed my Supra ownership! A decent car that is as quick as cars costing ten times as much and reliable! Thanks to everyone in the forum who has helped me out and it's been great to meet loadsa good people in the meets! Thanks to the Mods who do a very good job! Cheers to Terry S who introduced me to Mark @ Phoenix who looked after my car well. And thanks to Absxxxx who helped me out quite a few times too! Cheers, Ro
  16. Have you advertised it on Pistonheads?
  17. Wanted - Cheap Car CD player. Prefrably with MP3 but not too important. I have a good 4 channel Alpine amp (Worth £75) if you fancy a swap, otherwise I'll pay cash. Cheers, Ro
  18. *** NOW SOLD *** Went on the same boat as JamieP's car, off to Denmark! Gotta love the Danes/Scandinavians - No messing about! No checking over the car for two hours, no huffing and puffing, no haggling, no test drive! They had a quick look and checks. Fella who bought it had a 700 BHP + BMW (10 sec quarter mile) so knew his way round modded cars. He plans to put a single turbo on it. Cheers, Ro

    A bling too far?

WTF! lol Lui and Mr. lover have already placed their orders!
  21. No idea about part number, but this trader may have a used one: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=75 Send Ibrar a message
  22. I Disagree Doug, JB created this thread specifically because of issues cropping out regarding Knight Racer on another thread. Towards the end of this thread members are moaning about other traders. Bulk of the comments are to do with KR. I feel it should be kept with KR title and locked - KR have made their comment and plenty of opportunity to say anything else they wanted to. Cheers, Ro
  23. I think Chris Wilson sells these - I'm sure he'll give his opinion
  24. Most people agree decent 18's as a good compromise for looks/handling/durability. Some people slate 19's as they say handling/comfort becomes rubbish and damages suspension components and wheels bearings much quicker. I have Axis 19's - Handling is very good and comfort is no different to my Weds 18's. If you change wheel size, get the geometry checked out/adjusted. Ro
