    The joint between my 2nd decat pipe and main exhaust has blown for the 2nd time in 6 months using ex. paste.Last time it was done by Formular One & they now say I need a proper gasket which I agree with. The stock ones seem to be copper O rings which are not suitable between two flush flanges. Where can I get these or some gasket material to make one up (sheet lead?) It"s a 2.5in decat to stock exhaust. Anyone else had this problem?

    I was thinking about posting a similar thread a couple of days ago. Even as a mature non boy racer Ive found the supe to be almost dangerous to drive in the wet and lethal on snow/ice. Just pulling away onto a roundabout often results in wheelspin & several times the back end has gone on a roundabout at speeds that can easily be exceeded by more modest cars.I"m surprised more drivers, especially those new to the supe,don"t come a croper. Maybe Ive always had the wrong tyres?

    Cheers Mate. Lucifer said he was doing a group buy on these about 2 weeks back for £407 + postage.I have reactivated the thread on this a few days ago but no response yet. I know he"s had problems with house flooding etc. If its not on I will come back to you.

    BUMP They quoted me £520 odd this afternoon for one. Then said may be able to do it a bit cheaper after speaking to the Guvnor & suggested I spoke to him on Monday about possible group buy. Offered me a mongoose for about a ton less but I"ve decided on a Nur Spec.

    A lot of sensible & realistic opinions expressed on here. I"m a surveyor & have seen more properties than I care to remember. Without inspecting & having more details guesses can understandably be way off the mark though & as stated estimates /workmanship can be like chalk & cheese.Unless you"re really lucky you should not risk picking a builder out of yellow pages etc. Always go on reliable recommendation & even then you can get surprises.Get several quotes. Its easy to get rising damp quotes ; where the cost lies is for necessary replastering up to 1.m. high cos of hygroscopic salt contamination in a typical rising damp situation. How big is the house ;is it teraced or semi etc. Should say its not always bad news ;sometimes costs can work out less than budget but remember all the sundries like tiling,floor coverings,fittings etc.

    CHEERS EWEN, It"s such a shitty days weather again (so no sailing or sea fishing again) that I think I"ll go to town & look round the model shops to cheer myself up with a "new car".

    I"ve always had models of the cars I own but odly have not got one of the supra. Does anyone know the make/makes of a decent model (car that is) which is standard & not covered with racing decals etc?
