Thats great! Whereabouts are you and how much you asking?
-
Had the car over 12 yrs and never had to top up the rad till recently so its done well. I prefer stock as it should be perfect fit but have seen these and wonder if anyone else has used them. http://www.carcooling.co.uk/products/Radiator_Toyota_Supra_2997_cc_1993_99_05_93_10_99_3_0_i_24V_Automatic_vehicles_with_or_without_A_C_400_738_25mm_16400_46430_12TO551-88986-1217.html

I dont expect so. Thats why I wondered if anyone on here had used one before and could vouch for the fit and quality.

Thanks for that Hodge. Will pm him today.

Sorry. That link didnt work. Try this one http://www.carcooling.co.uk/products/Radiator_Toyota_Supra_2997_cc_1993_99_05_93_10_99_3_0_i_24V_Automatic_vehicles_with_or_without_A_C_400_738_25mm_16400_46430_12TO551-88986-1217.htm

Looks like I have a leak in lower part of the rad and will remove the undertray and fan casing to have a better look in a day or two. I prefer a stock auto rad which should be an easy fit but have seen these at about £120 all incl. _99_3_0_i_24V_Automatic_vehicles_with_or_without_A_C_400_738_25mm_16400_46430_12TO551-88986-1217.html has anyone had any experience of these. I dont want fitting issues or seperate trans cooler.

Cat D recorded/repaired new insurance affected?
GLENN STONEHAM replied to GLENN STONEHAM's topic in Off Topic
Thanks Guys, will try both suggestions. -
I am looking to buy a 10ish yr old Ford KA for my 18yr old daughter as her first car. I have seen some cat D repaired cars and wonder if the fact that they have been recorded/repaired has any affect on the insurance for her. ie,increased premium or engineers report needed. Because of the limited value of an older car of this type often only very minor damage is sufficient to have a cat D classification by the previous ins. co. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this situation?

Very useful for us all.

Hi Dave, hope all is well . Funny thing is that an extensive search has not produced a definate answer to what I would have thought was an especially rare question.
-
Thanks Damo. Yours was the only response on this so hope it is the bulb you think it is as hate removing / refitting dash parts. so many wires & connections to mess up. Will pop over to see you at the Star Lane Ind. Est. on a week day.
-
Thought I would find the answer to this but extensive search on here produces nothing of use. The "overdrive off" light on the rev dial has stopped working but the overdrive on/off works ok so must be the bulb. There is suggestion on here that it may be a soldered/fixed bulb rather than a simple plug in replacement but no definite confirmation by anyone as to exact type. I would think its the same as the "manu" light next to it in the rev dial. I suppose the whole dash panel has to come off to get to it rather than the smaller section around the dials.

Its the first time for as long as I can remember that I havent got to get anything for anyone on Valentines day. I lost my other half suddenly last summer & would give almost everything I own (incl the supe) to see her smiling face again when I present her with a card & bunch of flowers or similar. Never take anyone or anything of value for granted eh?

They are useless considering all the satelite & computer technology thats used nowadays. Also look at the number of forcasters costing a fortune on the morning telly. BBc breakfast has Carol in the blue peter garden(be alright if she were topless,we wouldnt care what she said) then a few minutes later theres somone else in the studio pretending to know what theyre talking about , then a few more minutes passes & theres a regional forcast from another nobody along with local news.

If its easy why cant you do it?

Was / is there anything which identified the boundary line in question such as a post or different drive material for each house. Especially along the front boundary where the two plots meet. I am a surveyor & have given evidence & prepared plans on a number of occasions in the past re boundary disputes.Court action in very costly. Its not so much what the plans say, particularly if theyre old but what has been established over sufficient time (min 12 years I think) as the boundary. Some properties from scratch dont always have dividing fences etc but may have clear plans with measurments on or over time the occupants have settled on a line of division ie which bit of garden have they maintained. Some can be partly shared drives shown in the deeds & others that have become that way through established use ie the 12 year rule ( assuming its not been contested. Dont waste time cos if the work is done & dusted it will be much harder to get them to rectify it & as stated very costly if the legal route has to be taken. Glenn

I can fart with the best of em (been decated) but no special problems there. Not dogging (honest officer) but spotted outside womens places overnight instead of at home. Dont get me wrong, wasnt being unfaithful but having a good time. Too old for that now (nearly)

Fancy scraping the ice off your windows here http://uk.weather.com/weather/today-Yakutsk-RSXX0122 I think not. minus 42deg C at the mo , going down to minus 46 C. thats not unusual there where over 200,000 permanent inhabitants live.

When my son KYLE was small I bought a brand new car (waste of money) & bought from the dvla for about £240 the number K4KYL. hed been learning his alphabet A for Apple etc & he soon learnt K for KYLE so I bought it. My own reg I have had for about 20 years. I put it on my porche 928 then on the supra when I switched. Its GAS 2X my initials are GAS thats why. Everybody recognises me from it which is Ok but in the past has been spotted in some embarassing locations overnight

We never seem to get any really cold winter weather in the UK any more. When it occasionally dips below freezing and only a few inches of snow arrives (maybe once a year down south anyway) the transport system goes to pot. see here http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/RSXX0122?x=11&post=post&code=code&y=10 This place is not at the top of a mountain but a sizeable town in Siberia with over 200,000 permanent inhabitants. This is normal winter weather for them & not a cold snap. It fascinates me how the place functions at such bitterly cold temperatures. In July they often had highs of 30 deg C when we struggled to reach 24 C last summer.

http://www.communities.gov.uk/public...assuredassured Have a look here, it should tell you about the banister. I would have thought it would need to be done though. It doesnt deal with detailed components of a building . Theres just mention of the gas / elec safety concerns for obvious reasons & touches on the fire hazard issues as I said earlier.Other articles available from tha same web site focus more specifically on the other rental property issues, the most recent important one being the law introduced last April governing the tenancy deposit scheme. If a private landlord does not comply with this (and especially an agent) there are some serious penalties. That aside I repeat my answers to your 2 original questions Chris.
-
The answer to the first point is YES. Quite some years ago a wc had to be seperated from a kitchen by a vented lobby or seperate bathroom such that there were 2 doors between loo & kitchen. However a change in the Building Regs unusually relaxed this rule. The B/WC should be vented ie openable window or a vent etc. Question 2. As I see it there are no specific rental law regs covering this sort of matter. Annual gas safety checks / cert. are required by law for residential lets & if a property is in multi occupation ie bed sits then there are many more regs to comply with especially concerning fire proofing & escape. However if you consider that the unprotected stairs area is a definate potential hazard then its best to eliminate the problem to avoid possible private prosecution in the event of an accident.Especially important where children / elderly may use the stairs. Just seen your response Paul. Through a third party I have sourced one so seems not needed now. Thanks for your offer.
