  1. Hello All, I am looking for a replacement alternator for my Jap Spec RZ-TT, does anyone have a reliable working 2nd hand one for sale, if so please can you PM me with the price and your contact details? Thanks. Regards,
  2. Hi Ian, I have had this problem looked at by an Auto-sparky and he says the alternator is faulty hence the reason I don't get any management lights as there is "continuity between the alternator and the battery" [not that I know whnat this means]. Please can you tell me what exactly I am looking for around the picture, i.e. if the cable is still attached, is this a good sign, or better still what is the bad sign I am looking for. and if I need to get a replacement alternator or a cable, do you know where I can get one without being robbed? Thanks for your help. Regards,
  3. Hi Ryan, the splitter is very tasty, please may i know what make it is and where can i get one? Thanks.
  4. Sorry, it may hve been my supra, what does PVT mean? Does it mean Private Reg. Number?
  5. Thanks Mate, I see some light,...................
  6. Thanks Ian, forgive my ignorance, what does the AM2 30amp fuse do and also what does the "big strap-ring" connection look like? Thanks. H
  7. Sure, the battery is certainly the right way around and the terminals are idiot proof via a size discrimination, i.e. the Positive terminal is larger than the Negative Terminal. Thanks. Regards, H
  8. Update, I don't think it is a jump start or battery issue as today I put new fuses (120 Fuse link and 30amp AMS fuse) and a new battery and immediately the terminals were connected, there was a little crackle and pop went both fuses. So Maybe there is a Short somewhere. Please does anyone know what the AMS fuse does or who on this forum can help diagnose the problem? Thanks, now I'll go a buy shares in a fuse making company Regards, H
  9. Yes, I think there is a "short" somewhere as I have replaced the 120Amp Fuse link and the 30amp - AMS fuse and the same thing happened. Both 30 amp and 120 amp fuse were blown immediately I connected the battery terminals. Please can anyone help or has anyone experianced something similar? By the way, does anyone know what the 30amp AMS fuse does or what it is connected to? Thanks. H
  10. Hello, I have the same problem with my Supra, please may I know how you fixed yours? i.e. the lack of power, starting, e.t.c. and the blown fuses + 120Amp alternator fuse? Thanks. Regards, H
  11. Thanks Mate,I really appreciate your help. Regards, H
  12. No the car was only jump started after the recharged battery failed to make any difference. It appears there is some sort of short circuit somewhere in the starting system as even without the 120 amp fuse, when the battery terminals are connected, the management lights don't come on and it keeps blowing the 20Amp Radiator fuse [ANGRY][/ANGRY]
  13. Sure, I'll do that. Please do you have any idea on how I could replace the 120A alternator fuse?
