Ill set the timer to 2 minutes, although after driving in the car at the weekend its a pain in the ass when you have to sit in the car for two minutes before you can get out, feel a reet clown at work! Everyones walking by asking what im doing sat in the car! hahahah

  3. My alarm is a clifford XL 10 i believe, im a newb to turbo timers but thought i best get one fitted to protect turbos. Bloody things a pain in the ass! People need to be aware of the implications on their alarm when getting it fitted, overall the things cost me nearly £100 for cost n install but if i maybe could got one fitted which works with my alarm if i knew this beforehand bugger.....=( anyhow does anyone know the average time i should leave this enabled for? thanks all. Foz.

  5. Hi all, My TT MKIV Auto Supra Import has just had a service and ive been told it needs new discs n pads on the front. So im looking to replace/upgrade the standard import ones what are on there but im not sure which ones to get? Can anyone offer any better replacements? I have at times notice my car doesnt brake too well and i not sure if its the standard import discs/brakes as ive heard that these are fit for the job? any help would be great thanks.

  7. Hiya all, ive had a Greddy Turbo Timer fitted to help prolong the life of my turbos, but now my alarm wotn activate until the engines off, which sort of negates the need for a Turbo Timer. i now have to sit in the car and wait for the timer to stop, then i get out and activate the alarm! bit of a pian relly but hey ho. So i have a few questions: 1 - Is there any way around this? 2 - whats the average time i should set my timer to let let the turbos cool down adequately. Erm thats it! cheers!

  9. Thanks for the info! Wow, £120 for a wheel bearing, i take it its more than just a wheel bearing you get then? - god i remember when a wheel bearing for my Escort cost just £15 and took 30 mins to change Do you know where i could pick one up from or is it a dealer visit? Cheers!
  10. Hi All, Im having a slight problem i need help with. Im getting a slight whine at the rear end when i accelerate, and it gets louder the faster you go (a bit like the waltzer!) Anyhow im sure its just a wheel bearing so does anyone know the part no or where i can get a replacement from for a 94 TT Aerotop at all? Also i need to change the engine oil and the gearbox oil, can anyone tell me the suggested oil types for the same car please? Thanks all!

  22. Aha! So thats what theyre for the littel blighters! Ok so next question, whats a decent one just for keeping the turbos running for a while that wont mess with my alarm! argh! Oh and is it plug n play? Or do i need to get someone with an ounce of brain to do it cos i havent! I hate being so crap at cars! Foz.
  23. Hi all! Ok ive got a Supra MKIV TT Aerotop, and ill be totally honest here, for something i love so much i know very little about it.....Mmmmm reminds me of a woman i know! ahem. Anyway, ive heard that its a good idea to get a Turbo Timer installed to help prolong the life of them? Is this the case? What does it actually do? Is it hard to fit and approx how much is a decent one? All these questions (and more probably) will be thrown at some point around this 'something to occupy myself at work' place.... heh cheers all! Foz.
