Hiya all, suddenly (as some nice bloke flashed me last night and pulled me over to tell me) my rear clusters dont light up when i put my lights on although they work fine when i brake. Ive checked the bulbs and also the fuses (is there a seperate fuse for the rear clusters?) but all seems fine. Any ideas anyone? Thanks all.

hiya all, Ive recently noticed theres some noise coming from the brakes on my 94 MKIV TT Supra. Most times, usually when ive not used the brakes for a while whilst im driving, i can hear a clang form the brakes, usually more than one brake at a time. I can only describe the sound as the one when you drive over a loose grate, sort of metal clang. Now ive taken it to the garage who fitted me some discs and pads about 2 months ago with this, he says hes had a look and all oks underneath and can only assume its the pads moving when i brake along with the suspension thats making the noise. My point is its never done this before the discs n pads were changed. Just wondered if i should worry or not? To be honest it does sound like the pads moving etc but i just want to see if anyone else has a theory on it? Thx all! Foz.......

Oh another thing re this, will i have to inform the insurance re this? im with Sky at the moment. =)

Thanks Gaz for the help i appreciate it, i maybe sill come and see either you or Chris when im ready to do this, i do need some help with this, i dont mind getting my hands dirty and doing any work i just like to be sure that what im doing isnt going to damage the car in any way. So when ive got 1k then ill get in touch yeah? Is that ok with you? Need some wheels first to replace the stock ones, i need to get two back tyres in the next month or so so was looking to put that money towards new wheels n tyres, anyone recommend anything not too expensive? the thing is i wouldnt know what i was looking at anyhow or if things were wrong! Maybe i should stick with the cosmetic enhancements, again i need to get rid of the stock wheels first!

right ok so im getting this now (hey im learning as i go its good stuff) ok so to get a BPU i need to do the following: remove the cat converters restrictor ring is NOT req due to an import? aftermarket cat-back exhaust fuel cut defender upgraded fuel pump Iridium IK22 plugs It also makes sense to fit an eletronic boost gauge to help control that and also an AFR? i have a few questions now guys! Will all this cost less than £1k? Are there any particular makes of these items i should look out for? Are there any members here who can so it for me? If not who do i ask to locally, a tuning specialist? - dont just want to hand my car over to someone whos no idea what therye doing (like me for instance!) Im looking at spending 1k on upgrades for my TT MKIV Aerotop (after replacing the standard wheels! ugh) Now i know feck all about modding etc, i just luuurve to drive the car! hahah. So what im asking all you guys who clearly know what theyre talking about is this: Q: If you had £1000 to spend on improving the performance of your car (ie 0-60, BHP etc) then where would you start? Hi all, ive got a TT MKIV which has just had a service, since then the car is sluggish upon acceleration, its still ok but not as fast as before and im sure the spark plugs are to blame. Im looking at replacing them, can anyone suggest a good replacement set please? The cars totally standard (which by the way i need some new alloys if any one knows any for sale!) Thanks all.

Ive had it for just over a year now, its always been there since ive had it, just thought id post it now cos im baffled....

The only thing the car has got fitted is an clifford xl10 alarm, there is an LED in the dashboard for that though so not sure if its a loose one? The light flashes when the engines on rather than when the keys are in, i noticed it a few times when i pull up at home in the dark, i look down and theres a glimmer of a red light flashing intermittently until i turn the engine off. If you guys dont know what it is then im worried, i hope its not some dodgy wiring on a car bomb, maybe an ex of mine....mmmm......tee hee.

do you mean replace the discs with the £176 pounds ones then get some pads from CW?

wow not too sure i can stretch to that, how come everything seems to come at once in these situations, and im not just talking about the car either! house etc. Well ive been given a price of £176 to replace the front discs and pads so i may have to go with that for now. I did plan at one time (when i was drunk im sure) that i was going to spend £1000 at a time on my Supra with a view to making it safer/faster etc. So far im yet to see the first £1000 be spent on it in this area......if only Supras gave a second income like women do! Id only need the car! hahahah ahem, sorry to any females out there. a slightly fed up Foz.

Mine was in for a service on Friday, just from a local garage, a friend of mine knows the guy personally and says hes genuine enough, again its only a small local garage, one man place. Anyhow he calls me during the service and says the my rear pads need replacing and it'll cost £40 for them so i said just go ahead then whilst hes there and do them. He also mentioned that i need replacement front discs and pads so im looking around for those at the moment, got a few posts in the forums. im no expert on brakes but it seems generally the UK spec ones are good and ive been told to stay away from the gooved n drilled stuff as they tend to crack? Anyhow it shows how bad my brakes were/are as just replacing the rear pads theres a noticable difference so god knows what it'll be like when i replace the front discs and pads! so for info i had a service, a turbo timer installed (i supplied it) new rear pads £180 all in. didnt think it was too bad really. again im no expert!
