here some more photos along with said marks and some slight bubbling on the sunroof - again not too bad and to be expected on a 15 year old car! Would accept offers of 8.5 for the car? Anyone? -

oh right , damn thought they were worth more than that but then im a little our of touch with the prices at the mo. Although dont see many GZs around -
NOW SOLD! Hi all, For sale is my beloved GZ TT Aerotop. As usual with most sales this is due to a newborn on the way in October (my first!) and although i really cant wait - i still feel terribly sad by letting my GZ go. This by far has been the best car i have ever had the pleasure of owning. Apologies for not a compelling write up but im under pressure to get this listed to gauge interest from, erm third parties lets say. Anyhow, the details are: 94 GZ TT Aerotop in Silver 127k Miles listed but really 83k approx as 90 of them have been done in KM the previos owner told me. i bought from a prev forum owner 4 years ago he bought direct from a London car collector who imported it himself. Totally standard apart from the wheels, they could do with a refurb really. No marks at all to the interior and very few to the exterior apart from the odd stone ship. Theres some slight marks on the body too where i SLOWLY scraped the front bumper whilst parking in a tight spot - nothing serious. I do have detailed photos of all of the car. Oh it has a greddy timer on it too, that the local garage fitted. Ive had it regular serviced although its due for one. Ive cleaned all the leather seats twice a year with leather protector from the states (it smells awful but works a treat!) the interior is immaculate. approx 8 months test and 4 months tax Kenwood CD player Its not been played with or toyed around, i dont know anything about mechanics, just that these cars are great. Its really done little miles since ive owned it, purely because i live 1 mile from work so apart from the odd motorway run to see family and the trip into town, it RARELY goes above 3k (2k if its cold!) open to offers but really looking to get as much as i can, maybe 8k? as baby equipment is calling.....plus ive also got to get another, maybe a Zafira.....*sigh* Ive tried to upload some photos so i hope they work. Please feel free to call me on 07958 423 2843, reply here or send me a message and i will come back to you Thanks all, will be really sorry to see this go. kind regards, Simon

Hi all, Ive been looking at the oil info for my MKIV TT Auto in one of the guides on here and although its great info im still unsure as to what type of oil i need for my car as it seems to contradict itself - unless im reading it wrong! The oil info states the below: -------------------------- 2JZ-GTE Engine Oil (TT Engine on a MKIV (UK or JDM)) Stock = 10w30 Semi Synthetic I recommend Fully Synthetic 10w40/50 Dry Capacity 6.5L's Change capacity 5-6L's (Have 6L's ready) Regular Driving - BPU or Less 5w40 - Silkolene Pro S, Castrol RS, Motul 300V Power 5w50 - Valvoline VR1 SynPower, AGIP PC5w-50 Regular Driving - BPU to Big Power 10w40 - Motul 300V Chrono, Royal Purple Racing 41 10w50 - Silkolene Pro S 10w60 - Castrol RS (NB Untested) Track Oil 15w50 - Silkolene Pro R, Motul 300V -------------------------- Now i guess i fall into this bracket: 2JZ-GTE Engine Oil (TT Engine on a MKIV (UK or JDM)) Stock = 10w30 Semi Synthetic I recommend Fully Synthetic 10w40/50 Dry Capacity 6.5L's Change capacity 5-6L's (Have 6L's ready) Regular Driving - BPU or Less 5w40 - Silkolene Pro S, Castrol RS, Motul 300V Power 5w50 - Valvoline VR1 SynPower, AGIP PC5w-50 -------------------------- Which it states to recommend this: I recommend Fully Synthetic 10w40/50 But then it states for Regular Driving BPU or below (i take it thats what my standard TT auto is?) it states this: 5w40 - Silkolene Pro S, Castrol RS, Motul 300V Power So im confused? Do i need: Fully Synthetic 10w40/50 or: 5w40 - Silkolene Pro S, Castrol RS, Motul 300V Power Can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks. Foz.

Ah does it? Trying to source a local 'enthusiast' mechanic to take a look, Creative has a mate in Barnsley who works for Toyota, hes gonna ask him if hes ok to have a look at the car. ill get him to check them if he says yeah. Cheers for the advice! Foz.

Thoughts to you too Monsween! Stuck on a metal platform in the middle of the sea with probably just men for company - bah id even spend time with our lass instead of that scenario! Just......

I used to have a black Supe before i got the TT Silver Aero - and i used to get the same comments about my black one from kids on the street. Batmans Car! Class, bless em
-
Wow seems theres many like me also. Although i feel my situation isnt as bad as Supradibbs flying out to Kuwait - - Good luck to ya pal, hope things go ok out there. Makes my whining feel irrelvant so im gonna stop now! Foz.
-
Creative, that would be great if you could! Id really appreciate it pal. Also you want to sell your house? sent you a PM about it
-
Thankfully its not just me here then - hope you all get to go home soon! Yes Rob, its a set of mates (tw*ts more like) txting me from town with pictures of a pint as theyre all out drinking in town on xmas eve - its the ONLY day i get a pass from the missus to go out drinking in the afternoon and im stuck here - brill! lol
-
hey Rob, thats what i thought, i dont want to use a local garage - rather use someone who knows the Supe instead of the local 'Mondeo/Astra' guy..... Erm who do you use mate, do you do it yourself? *you know whats coming next dont you?*
-
Please tell me im not the only one here, waiting for the MD to say we can go home. Ive got a pint with my name on tauting me via text messages....

Hi all, I need to spend some money and TLC on my Supe bless her. Ive had her for three years now and shes not missed a beat. Ive just had one electrical problem with one of the circuit board on the back lights, which was replaced, but thats it. but shes now nearing the time for a service and so i need this doing but also wondered if theres anyone near Chesterfield who i can take it to to have a real good look over her, someone who knows what theyre looking for. I think the suspension bushes needs doing as theres the usually knocks when you go over the dreaded speed bumps (Grrr) but also theres a squeaking happening when i get full lock on. I just want to make sure shes running alright and i dont have the skill to know what im looking at really. Anyone near Chezzy that is willing to go over her with a fine toothcomb at all - obviously i will pay for this, including the service etc as long as its reasonable! lol Thanks all. Foz.
-
Hey Miko, I think mine are in need of replacing, im not sure if they have been done or not but there are thuds when i go over potholes, speed bumps (i hate those!) Is the likely cuplrit these bushes need replacing? Im guessing so. Thing is im not very technical at all, and live in Chesterfield in Derbyshire! Would you be able to do the car if i dropped it off at yours, how long would it take to do is so? Cheers pal.

Hilarious...one of the fastest supras on the road!

Argh my eyes!!!!.....theyre bleeeeeding!!!!! -
Its funny, cos for me i tend to drive the supe really slowly, rarely over 3k revs, especially as i only live one mile away from work with roundabouts in between. So i get to do just two miles a day, apart from the odd 60 mile round motorway trip to see the family. Sometimes i think to myself, god im only doing 30! But hey i like it, for me its not the fact the car CAN go extremely fast, its just the ride, the more time i spend IN the car the better for me. I still get out and smile to myself cos shes soooooo gorgeous! *of course im talking about you dear and not the car* *snigger*
-
but thats not too far from the Supe TT time is it?
-
Hahah some good replies there all, thanks for all your help on this. Ill try to see if i can get in another TT auto to see the diff, maybe there is an underlying problem or maybe im just crap at driving.....my odds are on the latter! Thanks all. Foz.
-
Mmm that doesnt sound too great, so its possibly a gearbox problem. Is there any way of finding out if there is a real issue or not apart from replacing the gearbox and seeing if the problems gone?
-
ive no idea, ive never really done that, if im honest i rarely go above 2-3k around where i live. I live one mile from work and so do average 2 miles a day, it only on the odd run to see family in Leeds etc i get to go on the motorway. I think im still applying the engine logic from my old Escort 1.3 Yreg, dropping it into 2nd at 60 will blow the car up! hahah
-
Well all i can say is this one didnt fly by me, it was a controlled overtake really, its just mine didnt move above 60 heh. Fair play though, i reckon the Supe obviously has the weight disadvantage straight away compared to a 180bhp Corsa surely?
-
Well i do tend to think my 13 old immaculate TT car is far superior than any other, just because i love it so much....but dont we all have a tendancy to do that sometimes? Thats why we have them isnt it?
