  1. do we know whether the UK cars have a different danmper rate also? thanks for the help lads - really appreciate it, and i feel we are getting to the bottom of this one now.
  2. lol - as ever no definitive answer! i do know that i am fed up with the current arrangement though. OK, who has been in a UK car AND a Jap spec car on crap roads then?
  3. its just savage. for such a lovely car, its runined by the shite roads.
  4. Thanks Homer - i was only going on the advice given to me by Jezzybabes. i have had two set so eibachs on an impreza and an evo. they firmed things up in the manner you suggest. one mans comfort is another mans bone shaker i reckon. reckon jezzy may be able to come up with the goods ofr stock UK springs afterall. we just want ride quality!!!!
  5. As per title, who is the cheapest person to use for the supply of eibach springs? this is for and NA car (not though i suppose that matters..?) or am i barking up the wrong tree with reference to this thread? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=109539 i spoke to jezzybabes and he seemed to think that the eibach spring kit on his car offered a better ride quality to that of the std suspension. would anyone be able to comment on this, or do people think that to get the ride quality and smoothenss (and reduced rattles) we would be better getting some new UK springs from toyota? thanks, Weave
  6. Apec items from Southern exhausts were fitted to Annas NA the other day and they do the job nicely. a bargain at about 20 quid! lol i have used these on the track and they only started to fade a bit after a 15 min session. ok its an NA, but this was at bedford and there are two biggish straights; i dont hang about either.
  7. i have contacted Jezzybabes Homer - cheers for the heads up.
  8. i am sure they are black Homer. most defintiely not the Billies. i reckon that someone on this forum must have some std UK springs lurking around somewhere?
  9. HI all, my beautiful girlfriend has a fantastic 1993 L-reg NA supra. the major problem is that the suspensionis just too harsh for our very bumpy, pot-holed, rutted and uneven roads. question 1 - are the damper and spring rates any different on the UK cars? ie are they softer for the UK roads? question 2 - if not, i wanted to change the springs for some softer sprung H&R items. has anyone performed this operation on their car or has any idea on what would be suitable? i know this is not an orthodox question, but after 6 months and 8k miles its getting a bit too rattly, plus it gives me back ache when i am in it (and my chiropractor is booking his second holiday and a new car. ) . thanks guys.
  10. I gather the TT supras ARE interference?
  11. thats great news! always shit myself driving a new acquisition around, prior to any belt change. good old toyota.
  12. just seen this comment - are these engines non-interference?
  13. OK - ordered a cambelt and tensioner, two rear wheel bearings, front pads (bit low) and 4 x toyo proxyes T1-S in the relevant sizes. http://www.camskill.com came up ok on the bits. about 600 quid all in, which i though was reasonable. the tyres were 420ish on their own. one wheel bearing (before deciding to do both) and the cam belt and tensioner was £116 which i thought was crazily good! decided not to do pump. have ordered a speedo convertor and built in delimiter from thor for £100+vat. going to get the autoelectrician to do the speedo work and also the fog light in the brakelight conversion. thanks guys.
  14. getting into the 13's would be good i would have thought.
