  1. Thanks man, can you advise me where the best place to get one of these switches from?
  2. Not a great deal, just an aftermarket exhaust and de-cat, think that's about it. Don't think he's done anything that could potentially affect the oil pressure though. Thanks for the advice fella. Think the best course of action is to have a fiddle with the light on the dash to make sure it's working ok, then next step is to a garage.
  3. lol, bit of the old "give it a whack" treatment should do the trick eh? I'll let him know that this could be the case (hopefully)
  4. That's what I said to him but he wanted to see if there was a cheap fix before forking out for a garage to have a look at it. Maybe best to check it in to the pros eh.
  5. Oh ok, the actual light on the dash is that? Are they expensive? Hoping for his sake it's only that because he has had a catalogue of problems recently!
  6. Seems to be random. I've been in the car myself and it wasn't on at start up, a minute or so later it came on for about 20 seconds. Then again a few minutes later for another few seconds. Both times it came on we were cruising at around 30ish. Does this sound serious? Never had a problem with oil pressure myself so clueless to advise him!
  7. Friend of mine is having issues with his oil pressure light coming on at random intervals. There seems to be no real pattern to it he says, although it does stay on for longer when the car is cold. Oil level is fine, only had oil change a couple of thousand miles ago inc oil filter, so he's asked me (as he has no internet access) to try and figure out the problem! The light doesn't often stay on for more than a few seconds (sometimes 30 or so) and there is no strange noises or any other difference in the way the car drives. Seems odd to me. Anyone any suggestions? Should he just check it into a garage or is there a number of potentially quick fixes to check out first? Oh, it's an N/A by the way if that matters.
  8. Hey cheers man, and thanks for the free bump... ;-)
  9. Hi guys I am dropping a note on here as I know a lot of you guys are interested in the racing scene, and quite a few of you run your own businesses. I also know how close a community everyone is on here, so thought I would make an equiry on the off chance that someone may be able to assist us... Basically in 2007, I will be competing in the TAG Endurance Motorbike Racing Championships, as part of a team called TSE-Racing. The series is ran over 6 weekends across the nation. We are running two superbike tuned R1's in the team being ridden by myself and another racer. We have a pit crew and Team Manager, as well as team van, equipment, shirts and kits. We have made every effort to set up a professional looking and acting team - check out our site for more info (far from finished, especially the photo's of the team so far but gives you some idea - bikes are still in tuning houses and the van is still being sprayed up!!): http://www.tse-racing.co.uk We are looking for any kind of help at all sponsorship wise. No matter how big or small. We have two beautifully spec'd bikes which are crying out for stickers and colours to be added. The series gets quite abit of exposure so its a great oppurtunity to promote your company with something a little different. In return for any assistance, we will get decals made up of your business logo, and will plaster them over our van and bikes. We are also totally willing to let any sponsors use the bikes for promotional activities outside of racing weekends - a great oppurtunity to advertise your business just like the large corporations of this world do!! Naturally, invitations to join the team at the races will be open to sponsors.... If anyone can help, then PM me.... Cheers for looking guys...
  10. Okay guys Need some advice... This girl I used to go out with has ditched me and wont give me back £700 that she owes me - (the b*tch)... Any suggestions.....??
  11. Yeah I just love that Trike!! Awesome.... Cant imagine how much them tyres will cost to replace though - according to his site, they are off an F1 car!!
  12. I have watched most of the American Chopper series, but to be honest I think a lot of their choppers are a bit gash. Some of them just look un-rideable and ghey... Take at look at this site http://www.exilecycles.com/ A british guy who lives in the states and makes some awesome choppers. He has appeared on Biker Build Off a couple of times. If I was after a chopper, I would get one of his...

    Gears of War

Ive just bought this guys, and to say its awesome is an under-statement.... Buy it...
  14. Just had a quick search on the for sale section: Try these for examples of what you could get (although they may be sold, but at least give you an idea of spec, etc): http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=83570 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=88453 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=87574
  15. Great advice. My TT was less to insure than my NA!! For the money though, a lovely facelift manual would be nice. Im sure there was one recently on the for sale section. Speak to CJ to see if he can source you a nice example?
  16. Hi mate I had a tiptronic vvti, and it also did questions 2 and 3 - I wouldnt worry about it...
  17. Personally, I would say it wasnt worth anywhere near £20k. Thats the problem with modifying cars (or bikes for that matter). Its very much down to personal taste, and personally, to find someone who will firstly, like the car as much as you, and secondly, have that sort of money to buy something like that is remote at best... Good luck with the sale though. I dont mean to sound negative btw, just realistic. Its a lovely car, just very unique, and therefore difficult to price and find a market for...
  18. Marine fish are a lot harder to keep, as the salt levels have to be maintained daily. If you are thinking of going marine, get the biggest tank possible. The water is far easier to keep at the best possible level for salts, etc...
  19. Last week I had my car mopped by a guy out of the local papers. His name was John, and he can be contacted on 07717752724. He came round to my house and spent about four hours mopping, waxing and polishing my black Soop. To say I was impressed was an understatement. Loads of the tiny marks and scuffs were removed, and the bodywork was like glass at the end of it. A genuinely nice decent guy, so hence this thread to try and strike some business up for him. Cost was £100 plus fuel to get him to you. He will come to your workplace or home.... He worked in the bodyshop business for 35 years, before going into semi retirement and doing this for a little extra cash. Definately worth it considering the transformation it will make of your tired paintwork - after all, most Supra's (resprays exc.) will have some pretty tired looking paintwork on them after 8-10 years of ownership.... Just mention you heard about him from Nick in Winsford (Im not on commission btw).... Top class service, and highly recommended to anyone in the region thinking of sprucing up the looks of their car. It worked for me as I sold it the following day and the buyer was made up. Cheers
