  1. Hi all I'm afraid I'm quite new to the Supra scene and I don't know much about this stuff, so my apologies if this sounds stupid! I have a GReddy boost pressure dial in my Supe. The dial shows 0 at the horizontal and goes up to 2.0kg/cm2 moving clockwise round the dial. Moving anticlockwise from the horizontal, the dial shows up to 760mmHg. The dial remains on the horizontal 0 when the turbos are spinning. When I let off and the BOV dumps, the needle moves clockwise and shows me the pressure. It never moves anticlockwise past the 0. The thing is... a few years ago I had a Renault 11 Turbo. The boost gauge on that car showed boost *while* the turbo was engaged, not when I let off. But this gauge is doing the opposite. Is that correct, or has it been installed incorrectly?
  2. I think I'll look into one of those Apexis myself... The good news is that there's no smoke coming from the exhaust.
  3. I've just been looking at a review which rates the HKS as very poor. The Apexi seems to come out best: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/index.html
  4. The car is currently being ICE'd, so I can't check. But the oil on the stick IS certainly very high - at max or higher.
  5. Thanks for your rapid responses guys! Here's another pic, from the top... Would you consider this to be a 'river'? BTW, the guy who sold it did tell me that when he had it serviced, they'd overfilled the oil and so I could expect some oil... I know it sounds like a tall tale, but I do trust the guy.
  6. Hi All First off, this is my first post on this forum. I've owned a Supra for about a week now, and I still can't wipe the smile from my face! Problem is, I have oil appearing and I know very little about engines (except that I like fast ones)... There's a small river of oil appearing in the engine bay, sitting just underneath the big fat air pipe going down to the HKS air filter mushroom. (Like my lame use of terminology?) Some oil also seems to have dried on the very top of the air pipe, and I'm almost certain it's coming from the HKS blowoff valve which sits right in front of the pipe. If I can, I'll attach a picture to help explain. The engine oil level seems to be at max. Could it be that the system is simply venting excess oil, or have I got problems?
