  1. Any takers? I dont have room to store these, so they really need to go when my new wheels arrive, some time in the next two or three weeks. I've just had the car MOT'd and all the tyres are legal (but not much tread). http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/polished/polishedSide1.jpg
  2. I had Eibach lowering springs on my car when I bought it, and I fitted stock J-Specs as it was too low. The car is now at least 1.5 inches higher and much more comfortable. (Still handles well.) I think you'll have trouble selling them at that price... Most people only want to spend money to go lower.
  3. Right then... I've replaced the fuel filter and Darryl has kindly fitted me a new Walbro fuel pump. Alas, the FPR is still not holding constant pressure. We last set the static pressure to 40psi, but having just checked it after a long run, it has dropped to 28! That would explain why my AFRs are lean off the scale! While it does seem to fluctuate both ways, I'm now fairly confident that the hotter the car gets, the lower the pressure goes. So now I'm just waiting on a new FPR, which I'm hoping will be the answer to all my woes.
  4. I painted them blue on my old silver Supra, and it looked awful. So I resprayed them in black. You can't go wrong with black...
  5. Anyone got a working stock fuel regulator I could have? There must be loads of them lying around, what with people swapping them for Aeromotives and FSEs...
  6. Yeah, I was advised this was the 'accurate' way to check the static pressure. I don't really know what the vacuum line does and I didn't realise you could check fuel pressure with this disconnected. We're talking about the 3mm (ID) hose that is attached to the engine, right? I worry about detaching things from the engine and then starting up, as I don't really know what I'm doing!! While annoying, I was at least calm in the knowledge that the problem could be one of fuel pump, fuel filter or FPR. Now Chris says it could be an engine fault. My week has just got worse.
  7. FCD is not the same as a boost controller. FCD stops the ECU from killing the fueling when it detects boost going higher than the (stock) safe limit. A boost controller artificially raises boost. Decatted turbos would ideally need both. Do a search on these things as there's a lot of a good information that's already been posted. Also have a read about "BPU", which describes all the recommended supporting modifications for a fully decatted TT Supra. As for the auto question... I used to have a BPU auto. It's easy... Just switch between second and drive (3rd) as required when driving aggressively (especially when approaching corners and roundabouts), to avoid an unexpected kickdown. At other times, just leave it in drive. That's what I used to do.
  8. I certainly wouldn't run a decatted turbo on 95!
  9. Maybe I lied. I checked 20 mins later and the pressure hadn't risen at all. It was holding at 33. So I upped it to 40. But within 5 minutes (with the fuel pump running) it had edged up to 43. I'm not even sure if it's safe to drive now. It's misfiring all over the place... One minute the AFR is reading 10, and 10 minutes later it's so lean it's off the scale and misfiring.
  10. I just checked the static pressure after 20 mins of driving and it was reading 30. (Bear in mind it was set to 40.) But over about 10 minutes of observation, the pressure did steadily rise! So maybe it is a temperature thing? What would cause that? I've tried pinching the vacuum hoses attached, and that doesn't seem to make any difference. I don't know if it should.
  11. I'm not really sure, as I've been measuring the static pressure with the engine off. But I was also coming to the conclusion that temperature might be a factor.
  12. Thanks to everyone for your advice. I've been continuing to investigate by bridging the diagnostic ports and checking the pressure before and after every journey. Interestingly, the static fuel pressure doesn't appear to fluctuate at all under observation, at least not over the duration of 10 minutes or so. But if I leave it overnight, or if I drive the car, you can guarantee that the static pressure will have changed. (I foolishly allowed the driver's door to close this morning while I was checking the fuel pressure, and the exceedingly annoying Sigma alarm then locked me out. With no spare key, it was a job for the AA...)
  13. The front pair are sold I'm afraid. Just one rear left.
  14. The what now? I'm liking the sound of it already.
  15. Darn, given the interest I've had already, I should have advertised these for more! Doh!
  16. I did do up the nut nice and tight, but good thinking anyway.
  17. I have some Bilstein yellow shocks for sale. They're in great condition and dont leak. But the tricky bit... I only have three of them: two fronts and one rear. I'm looking for £50 for the front pair, plus postage. I'll sell the single rear for £20, plus postage. Edit: front pair are sold. Rear shock still available.
  18. Just to keep things interested, I've been checking the static fuel pressure on my FPR. Each day I check/set it to 40psi. But one day it was reading 35, so I upped it to 40. The next time I got out the car it had dropped to 32, so I upped it again. Sometimes it seems to fluctuate the other way! I was about to buy a replacement FPR, but then I was advised that the Aeromotives never fail and it was more likely to be my fuel pump or the fuel filter (which is due anyway). So I've ordered those two bits, given that they're the cheaper bits to replace anyway. Fingers crossed that these do the trick. Bloody Supras.
  19. I had a chat with Paul earlier today, and given the extremely high reliability of the Aeromotive units, we've come to the conclusion that the more likely culprits could be the fuel pump or the filter. Given that they are both cheaper than the FPR, I've ordered these bits and I'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed...
  20. ... a nice warm blanket and a set of Eibach lowering springs. http://www.darrenlester.co.uk/camera/pets/rabbitsLoveSprings.jpg
  21. My FPR is possibly faulty, so I need to replace it to be sure. I'd like to replace it with another Aeromotive, but I'm open to suggestions of alternatives, assuming they're the same fittings
  22. Thanks guys. I thought it might be the regulator. I don't know anyone I can borrow one from, so it looks like I'm gonna have to buy a new one. More credit card stacking for me...
