  1. I nearly bought one of these last week! I think Pioneer make great sealed amplified subwoofers. They really fill out the sound nicely. Unfortunately, while this one would sit snugly under my passenger seat, I was unable to move the seat afterwards so I changed my mind.
  2. I'll just pop over to Somerset then!! It's only two hours. Seriously though, I've never fitted a stereo in my life, so I dont think I can help you on that front. (I'm just as scared as you are!) Maybe there are some local members that could give you a hand? Let me know, yay or nay.
  3. I managed to find a picture of the stereo in the car... http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/060408/dash1.jpg
  4. Cheers Kopite. The box says multicolor, but for the life of me, I can't remember what colour the display was when I was last looking at it in the car! Think it might have been a turquoise kind of shade.
  5. *** SOLD *** I have for sale a JVC KD-G401 CD/MP3/RDS tuner car stereo. This unit is in great condition and boasts the following features: * 50W x 4 * Detachable front * Multicolour LCD * Equalizer * Attenuation * Line out * CD-R/RW/MP3 * Telephone muting Every review I can find says this is a quality unit with great sound. The package includes the original box, manuals, cage, ISO plug and wiring, and carrying case for the head unit. Price revised... £55, delivered.
  6. When my old car was basically a stock TT with Nur Spec R exhaust and first cat still in place, it was pulling 245 RWHP (just a shade over 300 FWHP) @ 0.9 bar. When I took out the first cat, fitted a 1.2 bar restrictor ring and did the other BPU mods, the car then dyno'd at 315 RWHP (about 400 FWHP). Sounds like you're in the same boat. (Apologies to those that have already made similar comments... I just figured that my old car was a similar upgrade path and I had some solid figures to work with.)
  7. Sorry to muck people about, but I've changed my mind on this. I'm gonna keep my quiet exhaust!
  8. Surely nobody would do a thing like that.
  9. SORTED!! Well, this seems to have been one of the longest threads in history, so I thought you'd all like to know that the car appears to be fixed. It's hard to see at exactly what point the problem was resolved. So many parts have been changed, and with the first three of four major components that were swapped, I had Ryan remap the car after each. But I did feel I was taking the mick with the amount of time I needed from Ryan, so after a while, I started getting work done without having subsequent remaps. Recently I had a few more parts changed, which included two short plastic hoses above the fuel tank which attach to the fuel line. (There was one on the feed line and one on the return line.) Mark changed them at Pheonix and was under the impression that a previous diesel fill-up and damaged these hoses. He reckons that filling up with diesel caused more long-term ongoing problems than anyone could have anticipated, and that this was just another symptom. Anyway, since changing the hoses and subsequently having the car remapped, it's running like a dream! Well, it wasn't, but that's 'cause the XS Power gaskets on the turbo and the oil return line had fallen apart, and most of the boost was getting vented into the engine bay! Darryl... ehem, helped me replace the gaskets... Well, to be more accurate, he swapped them, while I adopted a supervisory role. It's like a whole new car now and goes like poo off a shovel. Just in time for the summer. So thanks all for sticking with me in this, and for all your help and advice. It's been a learning curve! P.S. Big thanks to Ryan, Darryl, Matt Harwood, Terry and Mark Curnow, who have all personally devoted a lot of time and attention looking at the car. P.P.S. And the RLTC is fixed now too! Plus, I have a lot more gauges!
  10. The guy is a living legend.
  11. Non-loon, just passing through.
  12. I'm looking for around 250. I might be interested in the Nur RX, but definitely not the Nur Spec R... too loud for me!
  13. *** NO LONGER FOR SALE *** I have for sale a TRD exhaust in great condition. It's a 3" cat-back full exhaust system, with 4-inch exit/muffler. I'm convinced that this is just about the quietest performance exhaust you can fit to a Supra. Those that have heard this exhaust in action will testify that my car sounds almost completely stock, which isn't bad when you consider it's a T67 single! http://supra.just2good.co.uk//myBlackSingle/zorst/silencerDone.jpg http://supra.just2good.co.uk//myBlackSingle/zorst/allDone2.jpg http://supra.just2good.co.uk//myBlackSingle/zorst/trdOnCar.jpg It still sounds throaty when you put your foot down. But at the same time, it's very refined and VERY neighbour-friendly. For anyone out there that wants a track-legal single or something similar, then this is the zorst for you. Ideally I would like to swap for a SuperDragger. Failing that, I'm happy to sell, but I'd need to source a Dragger first.
  14. Sorry mplavery, it looks like you were beaten to the line by just a few seconds! Supra61... You have a PM.
  15. *** SOLD *** I have for sale a radiator hard pipe kit. It includes the pipe, the connectors and clips. It's a very nice polished finish... much nicer than the Greddy one I've just purchased. (I had to replace it with a Greddy as I've got a water temperature sensor and no where to tap it to.) http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/forSale/hardPipe1.jpg http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/forSale/hardPipe2.jpg http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/forSale/hardPipe3.jpg
