  1. Turbofit (as far as I know) have never worked on this car (though Paul K/MaxGT did). And you have the warranties from Turbo Technics for the hybrid work. Good news that the tubbies are still in good condition.
  2. For any beginners or intermediate players looking to learn, check out http://www.justinguitar.com. It's a free video-based guitar learning site and has some cracking lessons. Justin is a great down to earth guy. He teaches at the London Institute and has had many TV appearances, including lots of performances with Katie Melua (who, incidentally learned the guitar from him). I've learned a lot from there...
  3. What a complete non sequitur...
  4. It drives... and it still wheel spins in most gears. I'm starting to think it's been like that for a long time, what with all the petrol fumes I've been smelling in the cabin and the slightly erratic AFRs. Anyway, it seems I can get a new one from XS Power for 295 dollars, INCLUDING SHIPPING! That seems like a bargain. At that price, I can afford for them to only last two years! http://www.xs-power.com/toyota-turbo-manifolds-13.htm
  5. Fair cop. You learn something every day! I still wouldn't buy another one... ever! That comment worries me slightly. Is my secret out?
  6. Seriously?? I had a Nur Spec R on my BPU TT. It was lovely on idle and WOT, but the constant deafening drone on motorway cruises was horrendous! I'm getting old too...
  7. It's a sick world, and stuff like this just seems to be happening every day. I can't decide whether I want to become a black-caped vigilante or a hermit.
  8. ToyotaGT did suggest it could be welded, but I've just done a search on that, and found that when it's been asked before, you dont really recommend that option Chris! Maybe I can just continue to run it as it is? Afterall, it drives...
  9. I think the BL is probably out of my price range afterall, so it looks like I'm back to looking for an XS Power. Chris, I hear what you're saying, but it sounds expensive. I wouldn't know where to begin in fabricating a support. Some of us run Supras on a budget, although I'm rapidly coming to the realisation (having had two Supras suck every penny) that running a Supra on a budget is a contradiction in terms... (I had a service at ToyotaGT yesterday, and the list of things they told me I need to fix - including the manifold - is as long as you're arm!)
  10. Actually, I was going to flog my Judas Unchained / Pandora's Star books on Amazon, but if anyone here wants them, you can have them for free. (If you don't mind covering my postage.) They're in good condition.
  11. I used to use SmartFTP until Filezilla came along, as I find the latter even better. (And I preferred both to WS-FTP.) I'm surprised you dont like Filezilla??
  12. Excession is probably one of my favourites. My first Banks novel was Consider Phlebas, which was just twisted! Regarding the Hamilton books, I much preferred the Night's Dawn trilogy over Pandora's Star / Judas Unchained. The latter was a great concept, but after 2000 pages or so, the ending was a bit weak for my liking. Whereas with Night's Dawn, the end really was worth waiting for. (Even if it did take me three months and 4000 pages or so to get to!)
  13. Read any Peter Hamilton stuff? It's very, very detailed, but good reading. Ian M Banks is good, if you don't mind the fact that almost everyone dies and there wont be 'feel good factor' when you're done! If you fancy a bit more fantasy than sci-fi for a change, I've been reading some books by Joe Abercrombie recently, and they're awesome!
  14. Thanks for the info. I've had a look at the FR manifold, but it's too pricey for me.
  15. Thanks mate. I've already dropped Kyle a PM.
  16. My XS Power manifold has cracked. There's a surprise! So I'm in need of a replacement. I've been advised PHR or BL might be the ones to go for, but it really all depends on the price. Hard times and all... Update... I've bought an XS Power one on Ebay. BL was a little beyond my price range.
  17. Oops, I've just read your other thread. Looks like I was too late posting the 'injector debate' comment!!
  18. Erm, 440s? (But I hope we dont start the injector debate again!)
  19. Yes, still got it, and it's in good condition. It'll be a pig to post...
  20. The shocks were changed by the prevous owner, so about 3 years of driving.
  21. I'm always happy for random strangers to come and chat Supra with me. 8K next Sat...? Hell no! I'm not sure I've got it in me to do another. Especially so soon. Maybe the motivation will return in time...
  22. Wow, nine months on, but I'm pretty sure it is still available! I'll have to check when I get home.
  23. Yes, that was me! And it was my missus. She did mention you when I got back to the car. If I'd known the car was going to get spotted, I'd have cleaned the filthy beast. (The Supra, not my wife.) First time I've done any sort of run before. I was chuffed to do it in just under 46 minutes, but my legs still hurt today.
  24. Anyone having trouble with Youtube lately? Often the stream keeps interrupting, and it's getting quite annoying. At first I thought my broadband was playing up, but other streaming sites don't seem to have a problem. I'm still worried it might be my broadband (though download speed tests seem fine), so I was wondered if anyone else is having trouble.
  25. Actually, I hadn't forgotten. I was just deeply ashamed that I ever took part in that kind of abuse and wanted to put it behind me. Even if I was bashing Saxos that were a little too bright for my taste, that was still no excuse to go around thinking it's okay to rip on somebody else's pride and joy. Live and let live... Once upon a time I forgot about that, but BB has thoroughly reminded me. So at least something good came out of it.
