  1. My Logitech G7 mouse battery lasts about 8 hours! Fortunately, it has a quick-swap battery mechanism and charges the 2nd battery in the wireless receiver. Even so, I've had quite a few wireless mice now and I'm starting to think I should have gone back to wired...
  2. Nice find! I started with NFS 3.
  3. On my old BPU Supra, I had the Nur Spec R. I had it dyno'd with and without muffler, to compare the difference. I lost 10bhp with the muffler in. Either way, I've always disliked the sound of the Nur Spec R. Too droney on the motorway and not to the liking of my migraines!
  4. Wow, that is a lovely looking car.
  5. Or just use an editor like Textpad and don't use a Web design tool at all...? (That's what I've always done.)
  6. ... in the Point car park next to the cinema and bowling alley. I parked next to you, but I was out in the Scooby tonight, so I doubt you would have noticed.
  7. Thanks for the award. I'm very proud and I think I should list the thousands of people that have made this possible... But I wont.
  8. A man meets a genie. The genie tells him he can ask for whatever he wants, but his mother-in-law will get double of what he asks for. The man thinks for a moment and says, "Okay, give me a million pounds and beat me 'till I'm half dead."
  9. The problem is that all the speakers plug into the sub box, and the sub takes a feed from the DVD unit through the proprietary cable. So, I could use the other 5 speakers, but I'd still have to replace the sub itself. Normally, I guess, everything would plug into the DVD unit, which would also be the amp, but things seem a little bit weird on this bit of kit.
  10. That's a good idea. On the other hand, I've just realised that the sub is fed power through this cable too. I might be forced to upgrade the 5.1 speakers afterall.
  11. No Gav, it's not a Scart. Here's a picture of it. Sorry, it didn't come out very well, but you see it's much smaller than a Scart.
  12. Happy New Year! Yes, you're right. There wouldn't be much point in me using Freeview, as the V+ will do it all. So I have some more questions!! I currently have a Panasonic SA HT840 DVD player. It's a few years old, but I think it was a great buy. It came with a 5.1 speaker system that I'm very happy with. The new unit I'm looking at is the Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K, which has HD and DVD recording. The main reason I want to upgrade is to record stuff I watch on cable onto DVD (rather than just archiving indefinitely on the HD on the V+ box). But the new unit doesn't come with 5.1 speakers. I want to know if my existing Panasonic 5.1 speaker system will plug into the new unit. (I like them, and I don't want to have to splash out on new speakers just because the connectivity is wrong!) The existing Panasonic sub (where all the speakers plug in) connects to the DVD unit through a weird flatish 21 pin (I think) connector that I'm unfamiliar with. Does anyone know if this is a 'standard' connector, or something proprietary to my existing Panasonic unit?
  13. My house doesn't come equipped with a TV aerial, and the big trees outside prevent me having a Sky dish. So I'm current stuck with cable TV, courtesy of Virgin. I'm getting a V+ box in the next couple of weeks (it's like a Sky+ box), but I was thinking of also buying a DVD/HD recorder with built-in Freeview. I don't know much about Freeview, but is it possible to get Freeview from a cable input? Doesn't it normally require an aerial? I was thinking about buying something like the Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K. Would you just plug a scart cable from the V+ box straight into the DVD recorder? Sorry for the stupid questions!
  14. Nice work! I like that. Do you think that's the way to go, or would you have the dishes in black too? BTW, it was lower when I bought it, but not practical for my place of work, so I had to have it put back on stock setup.
  15. Thanks. I'm leaning something new everyday.
  16. Awesome. So that was at 1.35 bar? The AFRs do look a bit odd. I would have expected it to be a lot leaner before the boost comes on, and without that 'dip' in the early spool. On the other hand... I don't really know what I'm talking about!! (But I have had a lot of AFR issues in the past, so I'm endeavouring to draw from experience.) Edit: Oops, you already said, 1.4 bar.
  17. Bloody hell, those bollards are vicious! I actually feel sorry for the family in the black car. But as for the silver car... Well, they had it coming!
  18. That's cool... I realised that would be the case. The quote I've already received seems very reasonable on that front...
  19. Check. Check. Check... I use Meguiars Gold Class, I always dry the wheels with microfibres (at least two), and then I seal with JetSeal109.
  20. So I paid 2K for 'not-real-chrome'? Oh dear...
  21. Ooops? Good luck with the sale.
