  1. Yeah, you're so right there. It's not just the inefficient fuel usage of the short stop/starts, but all the maintenance incurred. Correction... *Former* lazy b**stard.
  2. ... now that I've started cycling to work instead of driving every day. It's a whole THREE miles to work.
  3. Bilateral cross bite can often be corrected with braces, but needs surgery if it's more severe. I'm guessing your TMJ is a result of the cross bite. So, presumably, once the bite is aligned correctly, the jaw strain will naturally go away. I'm not sure what kind of surgery is required to reshape the jaw like this. With my surgery it was extension; yours would be more about reshaping. I don't really know enough to comment, so I would suggest you get more details from your orthodontist.
  4. As John Hurt once said, oh no, not again...

And how could we all forget IK+?

Well, in chronological order, my picks would be... * Megalomania (great on the Amiga) * Elite * Doom * Duke Nukem 3D * Return to Castle Wolfenstein * COD4
  7. What does the size have to do with it?
  8. I think it looks quite nice. Like Supra meets Corvette. But putting all the screens in the back is pointless and extremely irritating. In fact, I'm so irritated, I think I'll have to kick my house rabbits. Both of them. That'll learn them...
  9. Genius! If you go down to the Pod today, you're sure of a big surprise...
  10. Possibly the worst looking wheels I've ever seen. Think I might be sick now.
  11. Those trees in the background are either very small... or far, far away.
  12. I had the exact same maxillodental surgery done on me when I was about 20. As with yourself, I had an underbite of about 9mm, and now I have titanium! I felt like a completely new person when the braces finally came off months after the surgery. I was quite inhibited before, but these days I'm slightly extrovert. BTW, the jaw surgery was nowhere near as painful as having impacted wisdom teeth removed... also while still wearing the fixed brace. So don't worry about the operation; it'll be a breeze.
  13. Looking forward to that. Nice work fella.
  14. I want a V12 straight six! Awesome.
  15. That was my first thought too! Mk3s are cool.
  16. lol! Yes, buy this guitar people. You know you want to!
  17. I've got Elixir Nanoweb Superlights (9-42) on my JS1200, Nanoweb Lights (10-46) on my Strat, and Rotosound Super Bronze Light (11-52) on my acoustic. I never have any trouble with strings snapping, and using the lighter gauge strings definitely makes it easier to bend. Heavier strings can help with fret buzz and will give you better tone and volume on an acoustic. Plus, playing with heavier strings gives you more finger strength and makes lighter gauge strings seem even easier to play.
  18. Some more options... SuperDragger... Dusty can still supply these. Mild steel, so allegedly they can rust quite quickly, but opinions vary. TRD... Quiet but throaty... if you can get your hands on one. Whifbitz 3.5-inch zorst with two silencers. Check out his post about them.
  19. He's lying. Nothing ever goes wrong with 'em. Honest!
  20. My old car was a BPU TT auto. My current car is T67DBB manual. Both insured with Sky and both basically the same price for insurance. (Approx £650, full no claims.)
  21. Frustrating how someone could buy a quality spoiler like that, and then ruin the final effect by not fitting it straight.
  22. I don't have one, but everyone I know who has or had one has wished they'd gone for a wired version. Allegedly, the quality is generally poor and the battery swapping is a PITA.
