  1. Nooooo! I put chrome Weds wheels on it after buying it from Darryl. Also, swapped the BL exhaust for a TRD. Sad times. Amazed Darryl recognised it. Even without the crash, it looks very different to when I last saw it.
  2. Actually, it would appear I introduced it on August 24, 2008. Post 151. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?33100-boot-release-how-to-%28&p=2153256&viewfull=1#post2153256
  3. Maybe four or five years. I try to do my part. And I don't even have a Supra now!
  4. Back in 2003, these two Supras were imported by Dude. http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/reunited/toys002.jpg The silver was a Single, and the black was a standard TT. Homer bought the black one from Dude, and converted it to a T67dbb. I bought the car from Homer in 2007. I've now sold the car, so I'm no longer a Supra owner. By way of farewell, here are the last photos I took of my car, when she was re-united with the Silver Supra after nearly 10 years apart. Both cars have undergone considerable changes since 2003. The silver one is now an NA! http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/reunited/IMG_0136.JPG http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/reunited/IMG_0137.JPG http://supra.just2good.co.uk/myBlackSingle/reunited/IMG_0138.JPG The new owner is a member here, so the adventures of the black T67DBB will continue. I never did give her a name... Oh well.
  5. Interesting site. Less than 400 Supra Turbos left on the road in the UK now.
  6. Wow. Just. Wow. Some people on this board have crazy skills. Well done matey.
  7. That's why the OP should buy mine. Conversion work was done by Homer, so you know it was done right!
  8. Or you could just buy one that's already done and good to go.
  9. Wow, what an amazing piece of work. Well done, pbryant_knight.
  10. I've just sent a picture through. My last chance to get my Supra in the calendar before it's sold!

  12. I use Calibre too. What an awesome application that is. Espiecally for free! I convert everything to ePub. Stanza allows you to download from your Calibre library wirelessly, which is a nice feature. I've heard of Aldiko, but the reviews I've seen of it say it isn't very good and far inferior to Stanza. But I have no first hand experience. I might get a friend to download it so I can do a comparison. Thanks for the info.
  13. Anyone using fbreader? I've got an iPhone at the mo, but I'll probably be switching to Android soon. However, my favourite app on the iPhone is Stanza, which is a free ebook reader. I use it all the time... Never without my whole book library!! But it hasn't been developed on the Andriod platform, and I hear fbreader might be a good alternative?
  14. I've got some interesting additions to make to this thread... I have a T67dbb single, currently insured with Sky. I'm 33, with no points, no convictions, full (9yrs) no claims. I live in a low-risk area and the car is garaged. So, that was the preamble. The Sky insurance renewal came through at a whopping £817. (A fair bit more than last year.) I did some phoning around, based on the recommendations at the beginning of this thread. Of course, with all the insurers I phoned, I was declaring all mods. Firstly, Sureterm refused to insure the car. They said they wouldn't cover a car with *any* performance modifications on their cherished car scheme. They also noted that their rules on this have become stricter recently. Need to Insure have quoted a very reasonable £562, and that includes an "Indemnity value" clause. It's a bit like, but not quite, a Guaranteed Value scheme. Next, Aplan Thatcham. They initially came in at approximately £600. However, the guy said every case is dealt with on an individual basis, so when he's chatted with the underwriter, he expects it to come down. I'm waiting to hear back on that one. Adrian Flux... Promised a call back, and never did. On the second time I called them, they put the phone down after a few rings. I'm not sure I'll bother with them any more! Now, here's the *really* interesting bit. Based on Geo's £655, I was expecting my quote with LWIB to come in significantly less, since my car is at a lower level of tune, and would have a lower agreed value (plus me not having any points). I spoke to a lovely person at LWIB, who really wanted to insure me, but wasn't able to, because their underwriter - Markerstudy - would not allow LWIB to provide a quote, since I'm already covered with Markerstudy under Sky! In short, Markerstudy have some sort of exclusivity policy going on which means they won't allow other brokers to compete against Sky. So, even though LWIB would have offered a much more competitive quote than Sky (with an Agreed Value), it's not available to me!! So, I phoned Sky, to see if they could give me a more competitive quote. They reduced the figure to £742, but this is still miles off the mark. I called LWIB back, to see if Markerstudy were interested in keeping my business, since there's no way they'd be getting it through the Sky quote. I was told that this isn't possible, and that - if you were insured with Sky / Markerstudy this year, then there's no way to get insurance through LWIB this year. "But you'll be fine next year!" This seems grossly unfair. Why should the insurance company I'm with now prevent me from getting a competitive deal that other people are entitled to? (And it means I can't get the Guaranteed Value clause that others can get.) It actually sounds slightly illegal to me. Anyway, I hope this is useful to you all, and helps to explain some of the recent controversy regarding brokers using the same underwriter. I'd like to point out that I don't blame Sky in any way for this. It seems that Markerstudy are playing a very interesting and unfair game, with Sky (and other brokers) stuck in the middle with no consistency in the deals being offered.
  15. Ollie / Jae: I don't suppose you have any more details regarding your proposed classic/cherished car scheme? In particular, will it include cars modded to single-turbo level, and do you know yet when the scheme might be available? Thanks. (My insurance is due for renewal at the end of the month. I've been with Sky for several years, but I'm currently looking at alternative quotes as the renewal premium has come in a bit high.)
