  1. The belt on my brothers car went at 75k and needed the engine top end to be rebuilt, it was a Rover and cost him a fair bit. Does the Supra have some kind of safety system them to prevent damage?
  2. Hi all. Got my car from Car Imports Direct last year on 62k (miles) and don't know when it had its belt changed last. Now I am on 81k and thinking it is time for the belt n service or else something nasty could happen? I need any servicing/work carried out in or near Bristol. Funds are very, very limited at the moment with changing house etc so I need to spend the bare minimum but don't want the car spoiled. Question 1: Is there a way to check the belt to see if it needs doing? Is it likely to have been changed before? Question 2: What kind of service do I want and how much should I be paying? Question 3: What is the bare minimum I can get away with to make sure the car keeps ticking without costing me a fortune. Thanks all
  3. Hi. Is this still for sale? Is it the UK or Jap radio?
  4. I'm after 18" Quasars with a set of new tyres fitted. What's the best price and who has them? I can 'trade in' my stock 17" toyota allows with worn tyres (very worn!) if that helps with the price at all. Any suggestions? I definitely need wider tyres at the back.
  5. Any contact info? I need to call them to get booked in. Thanks
  6. Hi all. I'm after Quasars in either 17" or 18" with decent tyres fitted. What's the best price and who has them? Thanks
  7. Anybody have contact details for mkivstore or whoever they are now? The site has just gone down. Thanks.
  8. Ek, thats a scary comment about them. If I'm paying good money for the work I want it done right. Are there alternatives in this area?
  9. Hi all. I need to get a decent service done on my Supra and want to get an idea of what price is reasonable. Also, if there are any suggestions for a good place to get it done. I live in Bristol and work in Newport so a place either side of the border is fine. I need a full service that will replace all fluids, filters, plugs etc and also want my timing belt done as I'm on 74k miles and am not 100% when it was last done (I've owned the car 7 months). I'd also like a thorough inspection to get an idea on anything that may need doing later. So far I've been quoted £599 for the above. What do you all say? ;-)
  10. How much would it cost and what exactly needs to be done to get my stock GZ fitted out with UK suspension. I'm finding the jap set up on roads in Bristol and South Wales is shcoking (no pun intended!). Where can I get this done and for how much?
  11. Supra store offer the following options. What do you think??? Is this the way to go? Fuel Cut Defender None Greddy Boost Cut Controller (£79.00) Recommended Fuel Pump None Walbro Fuel Pump Kit (£79.99) Air Filter None Power Enterprise Air Impulse II (£102.00) K & N Panel Air Filter (£79.99) Blitz SUS Air Intake System (£208.08) Exhaust None Boost Logic 4 (£599.00) Blitz NurSpec R (£488.71) HKS SuperDragger (£499.00)
  12. If I wanted to get the lot done is there anybody in Bristol that you would recomend? Would this make it bpu?
  13. Most of those parts I've never even heard of so I assume a professional fitting would be advisable? Will I need to do any adjustment longterm or once it is set up should it stay stable?
  14. The light never comes on, no matter the speed. The switches don't seem to ake any difference. The speedo coversion I think is good, the cruise control works exactly as it should. Any suggestions?
  15. My car has one fitted but it has never worked. The button and lights for it in the dash don't light up and definitely don't activate anything. Any ideas what might be the problem? Is there a fuse somewhere or is it likely to be dead switching gear etc??
