  1. pics: will take some better ones when i get time, these were taken when it was snowing back in march so there are specs of snow in the pics.
  2. Thinking about returning to the supras so is anyone interested in a swap for my 94 Mazda RX7 type R2, manual, black, totally standard aside from the Rays Mazdaspeed 17"s with nearly new tyres. R2 means its the newer version with twin oil coolers and only a two seater. imported myself last year was auction grade 4 (best you can get on a car of this age) has just over 50K miles in very good condition inside and out, ive put an alpine flip front cd player in, built alpine 6x9's into the back, built an alpine type r 12" sub & alpine MRDm300 amp into the boot floor, only fault inside is some minor wear on the drivers seat bolster. Has a Toad cat1 alarm/immobiliser with total closure (windows) and glass break sensor. Waxoiled underneath. Starts first time every time even if i havent used it for weeks, doesnt use any water, never gets too hot, oil changed regularly every 2000miles with good mineral oil. Awesome car to drive handles like its on rails & plenty of power easily the best handling car ive ever driven, its so light and nimbe it feels like a gokart! Taxed as a 1300cc so cheap tax and ten years old so classic car insurance! Selling because i need something with back seats! Im interested in a swap or p/ex for a TT auto or manual would put in some extra cash for the right car. ideally in the south east. Tax & MOT till march.
  3. id soak it in wd40 or similar and get a decent impact wrench on it, ive not found a bolt yet that cant be moved by my trusty impact wrench, it'll either come undone or it'll rip the head off the bolt! either way it'll do the job and quickly!!
  4. im probably wrong then, i just thought it was only the tt that had traction cont.
  5. I would say its TT because its got a Traction control button.
  6. and it took nearly two weeks to get here from japan! aparently they dont even stock parts for uk spec!
  7. Toyota really do take the piss with the price of this oil seal. its the seal at the back of the gearbox on a 6 speed manual TT. How can they charge £36 for a small oil seal i remember buying one for my landrover, it cost like 50p!
  8. have you checked for fault codes on the ecu? if it hapened after having the plug leads donr, someone might have knocked teh plug that goes into the traction control sensor. check the lead going into the sensor on the front left of the intake chamber. see the pic:
  9. mine does this, i checked the fault code and it came out as 47 which is the sub throttle position sensor, trying to get hold of a replacement at the moment.
  10. Just been to france and got a real bargain on Mobil 1 fully synthetic and it came in a proper 5L can too only £22. Got to be better than buying two 4L cans for £30 each!
  11. have you checked where the orange plugs go into the brain on top of the stereo?
  12. yeah i made the mistake of at the age of 19 going from a ford orion to a twin turbo sup and boy can that second turbo catch you by suprise, especialy if your used to a fwd! i never had a crash but spent a lot of time facing the wrong way after a wet corner!! but ive got the hang of it now (3 years later)!
  13. just done it, it worked! pretty simple really, took out the the two efi fuses and unplugged the active spoiler ecu, put it back together and hey presto no warning light! thanks for the advice hope yours works too.
  14. id be interested to know if you sort it out cos ive got the same problem! The constant fast flashing light during diagnostics means nothing is wrong.
  15. that sounds about right, im not too good at electrics! thanks
  16. Ive just finished doing my fog lamp conversion following pete betts instructions, but when i turn on the switch all 4 rear lights become fogs and im left with just the center led brake light, when the switch is off everything works as normal, ive checked all my wiring and it seems to be correct. any ideas on what ive done wrong?
  17. Whilst fitting my kph - mph converter today i noticed that the middle connector on the back of the speedo / rev counter etc doesnt seem to do anything, its pluged in but there is nothing actually connecting the plug to the display unlike the the two on either side of it which have the thin plastic with little copper lines on it. is this normal, the last time i looked at one of these was about 3 years ago and i cant remember!
