  1. I saw this & read the spec, sounded good, then i saw the pic of the engine bay, D'oh!!! I reckon it could be a stealth install so nobody knows its got a turbo, maybe its in the boot:rlol: There does appear to be what looks like a turbo timer on top of the steering column though!?
  2. I would consider a TT but ive only got £1k to put in so it depends how much you'd expect for yours? Your brothers welcome to come have a look, give me a call on 07789261474 to arrange, i cant belive he lives in meopham, small world or what!
  3. Was rebuilt in japan, still running at 7 -7.5 bar (8.5 bar is newly rebuilt and under 5 bar is about to die) so should be good for at least 20k yet, alot more if its well looked after. Im after a non turbo really, even if i wanted a TT ive only got £1000 max to put in.
  4. Yeah i fitted them last week, i hadnt planned on doing any mods but i got them for an insanely cheap price so couldnt resist!
  5. The exhaust on it should be a Mongoose stainless steel with a decat pipe as thats what i put on it. If i sell my rx7 soon ill be interested!
  6. its not really the best time of year to be selling a rwd sports car!
  7. would he be interested in a p/ex with an rx7? I know what he means about the supra's handling & size, i reckon hed be much better suited to an rx7its much smaller & has much better handling. I just like the comfort of the supra not to mention the improved fuel economy!
  8. id be interested but i dont think ive got nearly enough cash!!
  9. would you be interested in a p/ex with money your way? ive got a black 94 rx7 twin turbo type r2 manual.
  10. this is my old sup, as far as i'm aware its never been accident damaged, it had a couple of electrical probs but suprachippy tells me theyre all sorted now. Its a very clean can & if he'd been up for a px with my rx7 i'd have had it back!
  11. Im interested but really would prefer a black one, im looking into the cost of a respray in black at the moment, as long as its reasonable id be very interested in a swap. What year is yours and have the headlight covers gone milky yet? can you pm me your reg number so i can double check elephant will cover me?
  12. i did the compression test & watched the needle bounce on the guage, it took a few attempts to get the 3 seperate readings for each rotor & they are by no means 100% accurate but definatly with 0.1 bar of being accurate. The cars done 82000kms so about 51000miles. i change the oil very regularly (2000 miles) for castrol gtx mineral oil & change the filter on every other oil change. As soon is it arrived in the uk it was checked over by DS Engineering who are a local rx7 specialist, i was told it was in very good & clean condition & all that was needed was new spark plugs, air filter & some new vacuum pipes, it has a very very minor oil leak where the pipe goes into the oil cooler but not big enough to be noticable. Its working perfectly & needs nothing doing to it.
  13. Took me a while to find your pics! Looks good, i like the exhaust manifold! have you got any recent pics with the new wheels? How many miles has it done, whats the full spec, tax & ticket? Overall condition? cheers stuart
  14. Compression tested today, rear rotor 6.2, 6.2 & 6.5 bar & front rotor 6.7 6.8 & 7.1 bar so pretty good figures, must have been rebuilt in japan.
  15. i have now discovered (thanks to gazzawu on the forum) that i can insure a non turbo auto so i'd also consider a swap or p/ex preferably a black one with a nice kit & wheels.
  16. Lovely looking sup, if i could sell my rx id buy this in an instant!
  17. Id forgotten how comfy supras are! Took some new pics of the rx:
  18. Ok perhaps useable was a bit of an overstatement but it does have back seats! The rx isnt that expensive to maintain as long as its looked after ie oil change every 3k regular coolant changes, it is best to replace the spark plugs every 6k whick cost £50, oil is relatively cheap as its non synthetic mineral oil. They become expensive to maintain when they've been abused ie track days, engine mods & not properly serviced, as standard they are pretty reliable. Looked at a GZ sup today at the local import dealers & really starting to feel the supra urge again!
  19. Looking for £6000 but would ideally like to do a p/ex or swap! i would have considered a non turbo sup but my insurance company (elephant) cant cover it!
  20. Yep its registered as a 1308cc, some dvla offices will only register them as 2600 but i was lucky! I still have the Jap logbook which has 1308cc on it so i dont see how they can argue with that anyway! Just looked at your pics, looks good how much cash would you be looking for with the rx7? cheers stuart
  21. That is true! but times change, i dont like the handling or the weight but i love the look & it has got useable back seats. The rx7 is by far a better drivers car but it just hasnt got the presence of a supra! not to mention the fuel costs, i thought the supra was thirsty but the rx gets like 12 mpg!
