Just did some bike viewings. Got my heart set on a ZX9R. (Piccie below) Then when TAZ is in the workshop I can visit her

95 TT aerotop GZ reluctantly for sale
Whitelightning replied to dangerous brain's topic in Supra Classifieds
DB why dont you sell the car for £1 to a friend while the divorce goes through, then buy it back for £1 after the divorce. You would have to give 50p to your wife upon sale of course. -
Oh you are just being cruel now . . . .
-
Can I put a turbo on that ? I already have one of those - I want a MOTORBIKE
-
Only Level 2 for me, but it did say I was very lusty
-
Well Im getting the 4000 series DBAs. Which series is the Gold ones ? Terry mentioned that the gold ones warped. Im currently looking for a runaround bike to transport me when my car is in the workshop. Ebay here I come
-
Cheers Ian & Clarkey. I took the liberty of ordering better brakes. You are right, we were smoking the pads at Bovingdon. Envy supply DBA discs (so goto them if you need them ) Thanks to Gareth for sourcing and supplying. Thanks to Migster who said he would have a look at the car for me to see where the power has gone. He has a good idea about the valves. I have arranged with Terry to get another head gasket so Migster can ferret around inside with a big hammer. Also, thanks to Terry for his advice and sourcing of the other mods and parts. Secretly I think he just wants to see CJ get whipped but there maybe some curiosity to see what a BL74 does with a BL 4" in scientific terms Ok, I am afraid noone gets any Xmas presents this year - Im all out of money (AND SOME !) Im off to see the bank manager to ensure I can pay Mark for putting much of this on the car. If I have to sell my soul to the bank manager I might as well kick the arse out of it, eh ?!

What are you eating/drinking right now?
Whitelightning replied to Jspec Germany's topic in Off Topic
Damn, beaten in the "most sadest thread" competition. JSpec are you very bored ? You can come over and fix my car for me if you are lol -
Cheers CJ, We can't have you smacking everyones' bottom EVERY meet can we
-
Oh you are sooo getting a slap. Terry is helping me sort TAZ out, she is going to make you eat your words when she is either ready . . . . . or I have spent as much money on TAZ as you have on yours lol !!!

I am not convinced the cam pulleys caused the cam belt to strip off 50% AND stay on the cam pulleys. I think something caught or impeded the belt somewhere, which will be checked by Mark on Monday. But thanks all for the advice and supplies . . . just waiting on Gaz to add it all up and send the bill to me so we can get the parts to Mark Busy day
-
Right Gaz has PE belt, RBF fluid, DBA brake discs for me. Terry, did we have a supplier for the carbotech pads ? If not Gaz recommends the endless pads. So might be able to get all this stuff up to Mark for early next week.
-
Congrats - save the money into your newly formed Supra account for modifications
-
The cams were worn but not sharp and the belt has been shredded so that half remains intact and on the cams. Take a look at the piccie at the start of this thread to see what I mean.
-
So we have the cams (Mark) we just need the belt. Now where can I get a PE cam belt from ? Brakes were the next mod, going to see what change I have left after repairs. Afterall I have just spent £1200 on a BL exhaust
-
Im thinking of getting a bike too, but need a Supra with a towbar for the trailer
-
Im feeling alot better now. Thats what I like about the Supra - it comes with a WHOLE community, who will at best say nice things and at worse take the piss out of you and cheer you up. We can rebuild TAZ . . . she will be faster, stronger, purple-er and hopefully won't cost 6 million dollars

WANTED - STOCK CAM GEARS !! (lol:) )
-
Bugger - I came 2nd in both categories !!! It REALLY IS a crap day Or is it ? Terry just rang and said the car may be ok as its a non interference engine and the cams are lower than 272, we may be able to put a belt on and HEY PRESTO ! Fingers crossed, because I have SOOOOOO many mods to do and I do not want to start again Thanks for the messages by the way - I needed cheering up

SUMMARY: 1. Some planes flew into an office tower or two. 2. People got upset for a while. 3. People then realised they could all blame invisible enemies. 4. This allowed the governement to raise that ailing DOD/FBI/CIA budget that had been reduced somewhat since the Ruskies had made friends. 5. The years of touchy feely and ethnic minority pampering were over ! GOD BLESS THE AMERICAN REICH ! (ok ok its just tongue in cheek )

You know I have no hair - so - that is never gonna happen Woof !

Unfortunately today TAZ had an accident. The cambelt died and the engine cut out. :thumbdown I am not sure if the engine will need a rebuild (3rd time lucky). If she does need a rebuild I am not sure if I am able to afford it. If the engine internals are mush, will I strip her down for parts for a new project I wonder ? Regretfully TAZ was never finished to the standard and performance I wanted, if the price is high for a rebuild I shall need to see what options are open to me. (Another Supra, a noble etc ?) If we find that the engine is ok and can be re-aligned I will ensure she is back on the road as soon as possible. Mark at Phoenix in Watford will be taking delivery of the car today and said he will inspect her on Monday. As usual, she would not fit on the transporter so the 2nd picture you see below shows the lights out and the bumper hanging off. Don't worry I did not hit anything, we simply removed them to get it up the ramp. On a high note - the awards from SONID (The Euro Supra Meet 2005) came in the post today. I got "Best Mkiv engine bay" and "Best Mkiv modified car". So thank you to the SONID team, I shall put these on the shelf next to the TAZ obituary Picture 1 - Two awards from SONID (The Euro Supra Meet 2005) Picture 2 - Half a cam belt on worn HKS cams Picture 3 - Transporting TAZ

Oh you are in sooo much trouble lol ! As for naming the car, it had a more colourful personality than most people I know so I felt it deserved a name. We did the Euro Cannonball in her, drove her on track days and around Europe verse Porsches etc, so she built up a nice reputation. Incidently she now looks different, and resides in Ireland (see piccie below). Her spoiler is back on
