  1. sorry pictures didnt load last time here
  2. Managed to get picture of dials and on/off switch
  3. Just realised I have the same dials i.e. fuel and temp wrong way round! See picture below I might still fit the rev and speedo but my dials don't have adjustable colour just a strip with an on of button! Jas
  4. Hi guys, Bought some glow dials of ebay a while back. Wnated to connect them up but a little confused. The pack has the dials with connectors a power adaptor which plugs into 12+ and - but they also have a very then strip with a push on/off button at the end (connection for this on power adaptor). I thought the power adaptor would be wired to a wire which provides a positive feed when the lights are switched on? (this is what I want) I don't understand the on/off button. Do I have to wire this up? Sorry cant provide pictures as camera was stolen Thanks Jas
  5. lol you just recommended some! Where can I get CW's at a decent price? also what hoses would you recommend?
  6. Tyres are new Avons 235/35 on front and 265/30 rear. I phoned a couple of scrapyards and one of them says he has UK car with brakes. Should I consider buying second hand? What should I check if I want them? Thanks Jas
  7. Hi all, Thinking of upgrading my standard J spec NA brake pads all round and then upgrading to UK spec brakes when budget allows. The Chris Wilson brake pads seem to be recommended highly but are there any other pads I should consider? I'll probably upgrade to braided hoses and dot 5.1 fluid. Is it difficult to change brake pads? I ask because I was also thinking of doing some track days in the summer (one of the reasons I bought the car) and was wondering if I should get two sets of brake pads One for daily drive and another set for trackdays! What do you guys think? Thanks Jas
  8. Thanks All, I take it the kit Nic is supplying is not OEM UK spec? I ask because in one of the posts he says he can also supply UK spec rears. This kit would work out 900, is this a good price? Sorry Nic, no disrespect intended just I'm new to all this having moved from a small cheap run around (no i'm not revealing what it was) where I probably could have replaced every part for 900! Thanks Jas
  9. Sorry should have said money is tight because I blew it all on 19 inchers!
  10. Evening All, I'm using my J Spec NA to commute everyday and have scared myself a couple of times on the motorway due to lack of braking power. Having searched the forums i'm thinking of upgrading to UK spec setup. From what I can tell I would need Front and rear OEM callipers Front and rear OEM discs Front and rear pads most seem to push Chris Wilson pads (I think thats what they are called) Braided hoses Dot 5.1 fluid Is this list correct? (anything missing) What should I budget for this if I try and fit myself? Is this an overkill for an NA? Are there any other alternatives that would suffice e.g. maybe just uk spec front upgrade with my front setup moved to the back or just better pads for rear or maybe just better pads all round? If better pads would suffice what I can I use? Reason I ask about alternatives is that money is a bit tight at present. But having said that I would like to do some track days in the summer so don't want to have to spend twice! Should anything else be considered? Also, where can I source the parts at reasonable prices? Your help would be much appreciated Jas
  11. This might sound weird but I had standard 16" alloys with Toyo 225/50/16 on the front and Bridgestone 255/50/16's on the back (like this when I bought the car) and I now have 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the back all Avon's and the handling, ride comfort and reduction in road noise is amazing! I just wanted the back end to loook higher than the front. I guess the only way to really do it is drop the front suspension by about 40mm but not sure this is possiible due to the 19's Thanks Jas
  12. Evening all I have a J spec SZ which is standard apart from 19" alloys. I want to raise the back end of the car to change the stance but don't want to lower the front suspension as I'm thinking of adding a lip spoiler or changing the bumber completely. Any ideas on how this could be done without changing the stock suspension ideally? Thanks Jas
  13. Thanks guys, Unfortunately or fortunately the car is without any mods other than LPG conversion ! It's also a manual ! Chris how much would you charge for a full service ? Do you do any body and paint work ? Jas
  14. Hi Folks, My name is Jas and i'm new to this forum. I have done a search on the forum without luck. Basically a mate bought a 94 supra SZ. The car is an import which he bought in 2002. He then went to work abroad and has now asked me to sell or use the car. The car has not been started since around Feb 2003 and has been parked out in his drive. The car has 60k miles on it. I don't know when it was last serviced and wondered about two things 1. Is there anything I should do (besides charge the battery) before starting it ? 2. Does anyone know of a supra specialist where I can get the car serviced around the west midlands preferably in Birmingham ? NB does anyone know where I can get cheap insurance ? All help would be much appreciated Jas
