I was just about to say much the same...... One of my mates is actually a time served Land Rover / Range Rover mechanic. Has been there for 9 years and says he wouldnt have one as a gift ! He says that almost EVERY one he sees be it for work or a routine service needs something replacing almost all of the time, and never cheap. He also said that the Diesels are ridiculous prices to maintain as he sees most of the quotes and job cards. Just doesnt recommend one for a daily driver at all, unless you live on a farm, or have deep pockets. Very heavy on fuel too. Diesel or Petrol. Thats from a Landie Mechanic ! In fact his actual words when i told him about this thread were........... "No No No No NOOOOO!" lol Another friend of mine from up here, bought a 2 year old one 8 weeks ago.........its gone already..........said it was horrendous on fuel.

Trying to gauge this, to see what areas of folk people have and havent got tickets in..... We placed our order for Tickets back in April and so did a few friends of mine. None of us have received them yet, with one working day to go. I know they have been sent out though, as i have spoken to the organiser, and i also know of a few friends south of the border who have received theirs Monday past. It seems that most of the folk i know in Scotland however havent got theirs......and its 100% guaranteed to be the postal service as usual. Tickets have been sent out First Class Recorded last saturday i am told, and most of my mates down south received theirs on Monday. However us up here aint seen no sign yet......not a peep.... Strangely though......i ordered a number plate for the car from Ireland on the 14th July, was told it was sent First Class Recorded, and it turned up 11 DAYS LATER on the 25th, and right enough was post marked the 14th, First Class Recorded !!! WTF is going on with Royal Mail ??? My dad also had some documents sent up from London on Monday, on a Special Delivery Next Day by 12 Noon Guaranteed Delivery................................................it arrived today, at 10am, 4 days after it was sent on a next day delivery !!!! :complain: I know i wont have a problem if the tickets dont arrive in time, as its been sorted out verbally already.........but WTF !?!??! Where are they ?!?!?! The postman is quite friendly and has said he would go back to his depot today and see if anything is waiting to be delivered for our address. But i dont understand why there seems to be a fair few people up my area who dont have tickets yet.......despite them being sent out First Class Recorded on Saturday !! YET......a few folk up here had their competitor tickets sent in just a normal 1st Class Stamped Envelope......and they have them !!! Fu*king Postal Service is a SHAM ! :complain:

chiefvinso - I run a valeting company and have compared this to Meguiars, Auto Gym and all your UK Retail products. It has com out tops and my customers swear by it now. Yep thats right......the concentrate is Shampoo, the Hardwax is a Polish.

No problems guys, Bank transfer is fine although paypal is 1st preferred option if you add the 3% and then cheque as 2nd option. I pay my supplier in Germany via Paypal so thats why i prefer it......no other reason. Should be placing this order end of this week / start of next, hoping to get another 4/5 orders first if poss..... Michael

Hi folks The Sonax Gloss Shampoo / Chamois / TFR / Polish etc that i did 8 weeks or so back went very well, so much so in fact that i didnt have enough to go round. If there is enough demand again i will be placing another order in a few weeks. But its down to you fine guys and girls to let me know if you want some more, and if theres enough to merit another big order, i will go ahead. This is the time to get your order in and stock up for the remaining show season and TOTB and the winter time etc. If the order is similar in size, i am able to offer the following prices again with a now slight reduction on the 5 Litre bottles:- Sonax Concentrate 1 Litre Bottles - £10 each Sonax Concentrate 5 Litre Bottles - £28 each (very good price) For those who asked about Polish, i can again supply what is called Sonax Liquid Hardwax Gloss - 500ml bottle - £12 And again after lots of enquiries i am also able to supply very very good quality Chamois Type Cloths. These are better than leathers, and also a lot better than the synthetic cloths that are made by both Auto Glym and Meguiars etc, the water absorbtion on these is second to none and gives a 100% streak free finish. Soaking up water with a single stroke. Chamois Cloth - £12 approx 18" x 17" I can also supply bottles of diluted TFR Concentrate for cleaning wheel arches, engine bays etc, - £6 a bottle if i get enough demand also, as i have to buy this in a 25 litre drum. A little hard to tell from the pic mate, but it looks very unlikely to be something that you can just touch up without making it look worse / totally different. Is it a plastic insulation ? Or is it like a metallic type sheeting ? If its under the bonnet i would just leave it for risk of making it worse.....nobody sees under there much anyways mate. I cant think of anything here at the business that i could offer you to try, but have you tried just normal car polish ?
