Morning folks Have bought myself one of those fandango MP3 type player things for going away on holiday next weekend, and was wondering what everyone uses to download their music mp3's onto the comp before transferring onto the mp3 player? I used to use Kazaa Lite but deleted it from the comp cos of spyware / adware problems etc. But if anyone has anything they can recommend then mucho appreciated ! Michael

She is the most dense person i have met in my life.

This made me chuckle..... Mates bird is a bit clueless, and she was down the coast a bit with him in the car, she was driving her Corsa. Usual Corsa mods like exhaust, clear lights, massively oversized bodykit etc etc..... She sees a guy in a new style Honda Civic Type S approaching from the rear and recognises the car as one of the local pain in the @rse chav type cruisers from my neighbourhood. Complete little to55er with his look-a-likey Civic Type R..... Anyways.. she decides to herself....."he aint getting past me" and at 80+ mph slams the car into third gear !! Well according to my mate, the revs shot from like 4000 to about 8000 and off the rev limiter in about half a second, the car lurched forward, died of all power.....management light came on, and was still driving when she put it back into 5th, but there was no power at all. Just drive with barely any accelaration. Aparrently the management light went out, and having went round to see the car myself now, there is an almighty CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK coming from the engine of the car now lol, kinda like the bottom end is fu*ked or something is hitting off something.....i.e. Piston on Valve or worse. Anyways my mate works for Vauxhall and he is looking at the car tomorrow for her in his lunch hour / after work. Shes been doing the typical "dying slowly" act with my mate acting like her arm has been lopped off and its the end of the world..... "Cant handle the stress" "cant afford to get into £1000's of debt over a corsa" "It must have been the fault of the garage who last did work to the car and not her putting it into 3rd gear !" everything imaginable and my poor mate has been getting grief 24/7 over it. Poor lad lol. Shes been a typical drama queen now and needs to chill.......we have found a 2nd hand 1.4 16v corsa engine for her for £100 plus the fitting if worst comes to worst.......but JESUS the stress he has been getting. The sad thing is she has a credit card for emergencies / sticky situations, and she doesnt want to use it, and instead pleads poverty to him, cos she "likes to have a zero balance on her credit card!" ............wouldnt we all like that !! Just thought i would share that interesting wee chuckle lol.

Afternoon all. Just wondering, has anyone got any experience of the new iRIVER PMP thingies ? From what i can tell they are like iPODS but have a 3.5" TFT Screen on them, so you can listen to music like an iPOD, but also if you have MPEG or AVI video files you can watch them on there too. They seem to sell for about £160 plus p+p for a 20gb one on ebay, and £220 for a 40gb one plus the p+p. Found this 20gb one, what u think ? I am thinking about buying one for going on holiday, would be handy to transfer a couple of movies onto it, then just watch them by the pool in the sun lol Found this one........ iRIVER PMP Player Cheers in advance MG

Well done mate, i know the panic you feel when you leave the car for its MOT. Mine also sailed through 2 months before i sold it. Its a good feeling having another year of prospective hassle free motoring aint it. Oh and having some spare dosh still in your pocket is a bonus too.

I enjoyed every minute of my N/A. Sadly i had a lot of problems with my TT but that could have been down to a bad example or bad luck. Some people dont see the point in buying an NA, but for someone who maybe cant afford the insurance of a TT / doesnt want turbos / or just wants some cheaper fun with the same looks, the NA is fabulous. My red N/A never missed a beat in the 11 months i had it, more reliable than my TT, my R33 GTR Skyline, and both of my Lancer Evos by a long way. And it got more looks too. Car in the ebay advert looks nice, just be sure to take someone with you who knows what to look for as there are a lot of folk out there who would sell u their mother if they could get away with a profit. Happy hunting and have fun when you get one. The NA is just as good fun.

I know how you feel mate ! Mine has been gone 3 weeks and i cant find it in me to remove the photo of the old girl off the comp that i have as my wallpaper lol. Its gutting seeing someone else drive off in something you have put a lot of hard work and time into, but when you look down and see a wedge of cash its slight consolation.

Hmmmmm its for sale at MV Sports......also known as MV Turbos.......i dont know about their sales side, but they did a top end rebuild on an Escort Cosworth i bought a few years back......and the owner who bought it from the guy who had the rebuild done, had to get it re-done as it was rather poorly done job. Not too hot in the service side i am told, but they may be a lot better now as that was a fair few years ago.........thats mega cheap tho.

Very interesting, i darent let the g/f see this post yet though ! ha ha Is 200bhp a maximum from the Cooper or is that a conservative guess so far ? Would it therfore be a better option to upgrade the engine to cooper S Spec and take it from there or is that silly work / money. Michael

Theres a series 1 RS Turbo i am considering on ebay, the guy wants £4600 for it.......near concours condition.....not far from it......but the only thing that keeps sticking in my mind is that its a 20 year old escort I did also consider a GTI-R for all of 5 mins but over 300bhp they are very unreliable and prone to blowing up unless you go for the Norris £7000 conversion

Well i got the money from the Supra, plus some of my own, plus i could put in some more between now and end of year if i dont do anything immediately......so anything between like 10-14k but didnt really want to spend all that again. Hence the smaller project ideas.........

I have thought about something like that Clarkey, but i really wouldnt use it mate. Sold the Supra because i cleaned it to within an inch of its life then lost interest lol. Bobbeh - I dont have a clue about investment and would probably lose the lot lol !!
