  1. "i could tell his daddy bought him that mustang so he could get pussy at his college i'm sure. OFCOURSE me and my friend start laughing at this fool." "i drop her into 5th and my blow off valve just yells out right next to him as my buddy flips him the bird" Maybe sentences like this are why no-one replied?

    why?

Oooo a chance to express an overinflated opinion, lovely. The questions regarding if it's a red top etc are completely justified IMO, perfectly normal questions. The slagging off of corsas in general however was completely out of order and had no place in a for sale thread.
  3. I ordered two 452's from camskill, very good service. Particularly liked their delivery which texts you on the day it's due to be delivered, asking if you'd like to automatically reschedule it.
  4. None, and 8 years. I'm not saying the guy is evil and should be burned at the stake, I'm pointing out that if he'd done exactly the same thing but with a different result, the 'we-must-ban-all-over-70's-immediately' brigade would be in full swing! Rather than a lighthearted 'look at this poor fella' article.
  5. And STILL being sold as 'carbon' despite being fake. That car must've been owned by more blokes then no1br himself by now.
  6. Glad he's decided not to risk getting behind the wheel again! I'm sure the article would've been written in a very different tone if he'd hit two people instead of two cars......

    Joke.

Haha good re-write of an old Tommy Cooper joke.
  8. Sorry should've explained, the only reason it 'used' to do it is because I've sold it. Having had no problems with the car's running (boosted fine) I never looked into it - just assumed it was either my imagination or a bit of high tec wizardry.
  9. Mine used to do this, always told myself it was probably my imagination. Never had any boosting issues, it would just be a bit louder when on a spirited drive, even if I started cruising after giving it a bit of welly.
  10. I'm not saying either. I'm saying that their stature within the international community seems to make them immune from most critisism.
  11. Nice bit of conclusion jumping there Pete What I'm saying is that the Saudi way of honour killings, public beheadings and disgraceful human rights goes relatively uncovered by the media and our polititians, but the humanitarian aspect of the Taliban's regime in Afganistan (their treatment of woman was, and still is, banded about everywhere) was used to raise public support for the invasion.
  12. Disgraceful. But their rulers have lots of money and oil and make friends with powerful people over here, so that makes routine murder ok.
  13. When it comes to local elections, the important thing is that the person you vote for is in that job to represent you. Personally I wouldn't worry about the party they represent (unless it seriously clashes with your beliefs), and focus on who you think will do the best job of looking after your local area. Case in point: During a local election years ago, I voted for the green party. Personally I wouldn't want them to win a national election, but at the time there were plans to build a huge gravel extraction and landfill side right on the outskirts of our village, and I knew the green party candidate wouldn't stand for it. I didn't say nothing, I said very little. Of course politics do happen at the local level, but if you have no particular alignment, vote for whoever you think will represent your values best.

  15. Local elections have very little to do with national politics. You're voting for your local (either borough, district or county) councillors, not your MPs who will represent you in parliament. That's another reason why so many people are apathetic to politics I think, there's so many levels of local authority it confuses people.
  16. Mustn't be around here yet, I haven't had a polling card delivered. I'm in completely two minds about local elections - I never hear a word from any of the parties about what they're planning to do, so part of me wants to just ignore them. But then again, politicians (even local councillors) can't make brave decisions without the ordinary Jo's showing that they'll support them and they won't lose their job by annoying a few individuals. Not voting just puts more power in the hands of people who at the first sign of any change or controversy, run to their local councillor threatening to put them out of a job.
  17. Maybe the citizens advice bureau could help you too? Got to be worth a try. How are they charging you? Credit card?
  18. I've heard that the cinema is a good idea because; A: You get to avoid embarassing silences for at least a couple of hours. B: You have something to talk about (the film) as soon as you come out. Personally I don't like it though, it's a bit too obvious somehow.... I think relaxed walks and chats etc over a drink are far better. Oh and good luck!
  19. Bit different to the earlier story - no mention of her boyfriend shouting at her to get across to the other side for a start.
  20. No, it shouldn't be, but we don't live in an ideal world. Which is why there are safety measures in place, like crossing when the barriers are up. There's no way the train companies can constantly inspect every crossing in the country.
  21. A moment of stupidity in crossing when the barriers were down has cost her her life - and probably made a mess of the driver's life too, as well as the two witnesses who tried to save her. Does anyone else really need to be blamed? If she'd crossed at the right time they would've had an age to get her free or stop the oncoming trains.
