  1. I went through exactly the same thing at the start of the year - the effect it was having on the rest of my lifestyle made me hate it because it sucked up all my income. Got a 'normal' car early in the year and haven't looked back since Well, except for the odd pang of regret on a sunny day on the right road, but that happens sooooooo rarely now.
  2. That Veyron lap was boring boring boring! I still love it for being such an amazing combination of speed, comfort and engineering though.

    toad alarms

I feel sorry for you being in that situation, but surely the guy did the right thing? If someone had broken into your car and a copper let him go because he told him it's his, would anyone here accept that?
  4. Can't wait for this, put it on series link the second I saw an advert. The episode in the last series where Roy pretends that his wheelchair got stolen because he got caught using the disabled toilet = brilliant.
  5. £3,200 a month. How do you afford life's necessities like butlers and house cleaners on that?
  6. Is it wrong that I hate you?
  7. Very scary how the lorry just plows through the central reservation like it's not there.
  8. I don't think pointing out grammar errors like 'it's or 'your' is pedantic at all, it's a simple case of right and wrong. It's not exactly difficult to get right either, if you don't know just put a bit of effort in and learn. If you can learn 90% of the English language, you can learn the other 10% imo.
  9. I have a sneaking suspicion that this has been asked more times than 'what's that MANU button do?'.
  10. Why is Clarkson driving backwards in his Lambo?
  11. I was referring to myself hence the "Somehow I forgot".
  12. The point is that the laws are already there for them to tell you to change your exhaust. For the most part, they simply don't enforce them. Ooops, too late. Somehow I forgot to read an entire page of replies. How's that for n00bish.

    ID Cards...

I hate the idea that I'll have to carry it around. As far as I'm concerned we live in a (mainly) free country, where you should be able to go out for a walk without carrying any form of ID at all - it's your choice. We work on a legal system of being innocent until proven guilty and in a country where it's compulsory to have an ID card on you, you'll immediately be treated with suspicion if you don't. It's another step towards a police state IMO.

    ID Cards...

I think you've got the wrong idea.... they're not shooting people who don't want them. Or are they?
  15. I'd much rather they let kids in the cinema (are they really suggesting that all under 18's are disruptive?) and simply had ushers. People wonder why some kids have no self esteem or respect when they're not made to feel welcome anywhere.

    ID Cards...

Great, hopefully there'll be such a queue I'll be dead before I get to the front of it.
  17. Let me guess, the Americans did it?
  18. Personally I'd buy your second hand one if I was after a decat pipe. I can't understand why selling something "slightly longer" and requires the use of a welder to make it fit is acceptable. What happens if you want to put the cat back in for an MOT? How hard is it to make a metal pipe the correct length?
  19. I find it curious that Clarkson comes across as such a biggot on top gear, when his journalism paints a very different picture. Different content for different audiences I suppose, people expect controversy and he's made a lot of money out of giving them what they want.
  20. Oh how ironic... the Brits having a go at the US for not knowing how politics works. Very funny post though.
  21. That's probably because old people complain a lot. So by extention of the first sentence, young people don't have respect for others, and 'grownups' do?
