Defi BF vs Blitz MD gauges [Photo request and poll]
francis replied to SupraPL's topic in Supra Chat
Personally I'd go with Defi, great gauge with some useful features via the control box. Looks very smart, no unnecessary frills. Here's a quick demo of mine in situ - http://packeted.com/defi.mp4 -
Hi there guys Well after having no end of problems with my Toyota/Clifford alarms I had them removed, however after taking the car home it would appear there is still an alarm working somewhere! It only comes on when I unlock the driver side door, it is deactivated by unlocking from the passenger side. No immobiliser etc.. Any ideas what's causing it? Cheers, Francis

Up for sale is my Sony SDM-X202 20.1" monitor. It is in mint condition and perfect working order, no dead pixels, scratches, dents or anything like that. Although it's now discontinued it was one of the top of the range, and cost me £900 originally. Built like a tank unlike a lot of the cheaper ones now, and great looking. Picture quality is superb, it has built in speakers with a headphone jack, USB mini-hub, DVI and VGA inputs (switchable). Comes with DVI, VGA and power cables. Only selling it as I had to get matching monitors for my dual monitor setup. Fantastic screen at a bargain price.. I also have a box for it so could potentially be shipped although it's heavy and will probably cost £20+. Photos at: http://loaded.net/mon1.jpg http://loaded.net/mon2.jpg Cheers, Francis

Depends what kind of place you're looking for but you could try The Collection in Chelsea and give some of the bars on King's Road SW3 a try. There are always the big clubs around Leicester Square, Cafe de Paris is usually pretty good at the weekend. Alternatively if you fancied something a bit more hardcore you could try Fabric which I always enjoyed in the past....

I'm very tempted to take a break from revision and come down tomorrow as i'd love to get my car rolling roaded.. 1) is there going to be space? 2) do you get a print out etc? Cheers!

There's a pic on here of a Defi BF installed in someone's dash, can't find it through search though. If you want guages these are the ones to get.....My boost gauge plus controller cost me around 170 from nic so this is a real bargain. Edit.. check http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=88732 there are a couple in situ
-
Great price for the best guages on the market. I have the boost guage + controller in mine, the dial fits perfectly in one of the circular air vents, looks very tasteful.
-
Lovely example, very tasteful and great number plate to match! It's got me thinking about OEM skirts...mmm. The spec is similar to mine, I've got a full decat and Defi BF boost gauge, but I'm reluctant to go the full whack and up the boost (goes to 1.0bar atm). Mark at Phoenix put a restrictor ring in when he did the decat too.

Great day and good to meet a few faces! I didn't run but I'm curious to know what the M5 did the quarter in, anyone catch it?
-
Great phone, seems fairly stable, great features, nice camera, wireless lan works well, good as an MP3 player, haven't tried the GPS as the build in software is a bit crappy but look forward to using TomTom if they bring out a fix to use the built-in GPS. Only gripe is the battery life which is probably around a day listening to an hour or so of MP3s plus moderate use, guess that's to be expected though.
-
I got some from Steve a few months ago too, great value, black with embroidered "Supra" logo on them. Nice and thick compared to my last eBay set.
-
Anyone got some pics of these on a red Supe?
-
Hi Rob, I'm going to be driving over tomorrow, what are the plans?
-
Hold out for a good price, it's worth it.
-
Yeah I'm well used to the 40mph road works stretch, but these ones are new to me. It's funny seeing some people nail it through, but perhaps they're switching lanes between cameras? I made the stupid mistake of taking the single lane stretch, and of course someone had had an accident and it took ages to clear
-
On my usual run from London to Northamptonshire today I notice they've put up some speed averaging cameras both ways around junction 3-6 (I think) - not on road works, just on the deretricted motorway. Anyone know anything about these? If this is the way things are going to go I may as well trade in for the Prius now
-
No regrets here either and the car is running better as good as ever. That said I've never used a boost controller so it tops out at 0.9bar. Make sure your intercooler and radiator are in good condition first... It'll be noisier and slightly less smooth, but well worth it
-
Minty and the best colour too! It's got to be worth at least 10k with that sort of milage, very rare car.. How come you're selling up?

Backlinks can improve Google ranking, depending on the quality and quantity of the links provided. Google use a PageRank system. Site's are PageRanked from 0 to 10, 10 are site's like microsoft.com, google.com, 9/10 are bbc.co.uk, yahoo.com, 3/10 is mkivsupra.net etc... People pay hundreds of dollars for links on PR7 sites, a link on a PR10 site is probably worth thousands of dollars although they're pretty much impossible to get. I guess it all depends on what you're trying to promote, whether it's something people search for (you can check the overture of keywords) and how you're doing at the moment in terms of search engine placement. 500 links might be good but it all depends on the quality and placement of those links, if they're going to disappear shortly after you buy them then obviously that's not much good.

Hi guys Well I just found out where I'm going to be working next year and it involes a daily commute from Earls Court to Ealing. It's got me thinking about a new second car for next year as I don't like the idea of leaving the Supe in the hospital car park on a regular basis (got my last major ding there!).. Just wondering what people's opinions on the Toyota Prius are? Anyone on here own one or driven one? Apart from the initial outlay, they seem to suit the purpose perfectly, good fuel economy, spacious, no congestion charge, cheaper tax, hold value resonably well, not too bad to look at (at least the latest style)... Cheers, Francis

Actually a HID retrofit is something I've always wanted to do, normal bulb replacement HIDs create a lot of glare for drivers coming the other way... Any of the headlight traders on here do one of these - if so how much are we looking at?
-
Very nice, low milage example of a very rare car, a bargain at the price, good luck with the sale!
