Hi there, Just about to get myself a UK Supra, and have a few questions! Ok here goes: 1) I plan on getting HID headlights installed, do these kits work on the main and full beams? I've read about the various group buys going on, which are the best ones to get? 2) I want to get a pair of clear front indicators, where is the best place to get these? I've seen a few people selling them on eBay from the US, but are these good quality? 3) Living in London I'd probably want to use a steering wheel lock just in case. What's the best one to get for a Supra (that will go over the steering wheel)? 4) Finally I'll be getting myself some kind of speed camera warning system. Is the Road Angel 2 the best one to get? Hi there I went to look at a Supra today, two things I wanted to ask. 1) How much does it cost roughly to regas the aircon? How often does it have to be done? 2) I noticed that on the rear discs, there was a small rim (about 1cm of the outer disc) that was corroded and didn't seem to be wearing - the rest was all shiny and obviously making contact with the pad. What does this mean? - new discs needed? new pads needed? both? Anyway thanks in advance! Regards, Francis

Is there any way of checking whether the car's been modified to run at high boost in the past, as this will probably have some effect on the life of the engine parts? Haven't been able to find anything on the differences between early and late UK TTs, are there any? Thanks once again! Francis

Hi Bobbeh, Thanks for your reply, will do a search! Haven't been able to get any quotes on JDM's and UKs are surprisingly resonable, I guess being 21 with no NCB doesn't help.. looks like you found yourself a nice one Cheers, Francis

Hi there, I'm just about ready to buy my first Supra. From an insurance point of view it has to be a UK model, and I'd prefer to get the manual obviously and preferably standard spec. I was wondering if there are any buying guides out there? What things should I be looking for besides the obvious? Also are there any differences between the earlier 94 models compared to the N reg 96 ones? Colour wise I'm not really that bothered, but probably prefer blue, black or red - are any of the colours more preferable and do any command a greater/lesser resale value? I'm particlarly worried about having engine problems and having to shell out lots in the future, are there any tests I should do? Looks like I'll end up getting one with about 100k on the clock or there abouts - I was going to see one with about this many on the clock (full toyota SH), very genuine guy, told me I could come and view it after it had gone in for it's service but later called me back to say the garage had found it blowing out blue smoke and the valve seals were shot, is this to be expected of other cars? I guess that pretty much covers it for now, any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers, Francis

Hi there, I'm on the way to buying a Supra TT and was wondering if I could get some advice on the engines. How many miles can the TT's usually run without encountering problems? I really want to avoid large service bills (blown turbos or what not) so is there a certain milage I can expect this sort of thing to start happening? Are there any known problems with the engines?
