Could have been me.. Would have been Friday evening?

That would be brilliant if you could sort something like that out. He's only TPF&T so there's no chance of doing an insurance claim, but if it could give any idea as to exactly what needs replacing and whether it would be at all worth considering that would be very worth while. I'll send you a PM

I think the wings are alright... Rallure - you'll probably see him around, he lives in Radnor Place! Stopped at the traffic lights in front of a van, pulled off and then went to change the radio, then went in to the back of the van in front which for some reason had stopped... Ah well, live and learn! The guy in the van didn't seem to be interested in exchanging details, probably wasn't insured, so at least he hasn't got that to worry about. Cheers, Francis

Hi there guys, My friend has just phoned me to say he had a crash in his 1995 Civic 1.3 DX, apparently he went in to the back of a van at around 10mph. Anyway a picture speaks a thousand words so: http://loaded.net/bazcar.jpg The front bumper's pretty knackered, drivers side headlight and side light are out and the bonet is crumpled and can't be opened. It still drives but overheats, although there's no sign of any coolant leaking.. Anyway he only bought the car a few months ago for just under a grand... we're just wondering if this is worth repairing? He's not really concerned about the way the car looks, as long as it's drivable and legal...how would one go about repairing a car like this? Obviously any decent body shop is going to want loads, should we try and source parts from a scrappie? Are there any garages/bodyshops that people know who might be able to sort this out on the cheap? Or alternatively would it be a better idea just to buy another cheap run around? Cheers for your help, Regards, Francis

Hi there mate, Yep that's mine, just started my psychatrics placement there. Are you based at Ealing too? Francis

Anyone have any photos of the kits themselves? I bought one from a Hong Kong dealer, but now realise I should have bought one through Nic... the kit I got uses Philips ballasts but also has separate ignitors.. the trouble is the light is completely out of alignment and there's a huge gap of coverage in the middle just where you want it! Cheers, Francis

Hi there If there are still any available I'd take 6 x IK22 - let me know and I can pay immediately - I'll need them in time for my service next Weds. Cheers, Francis

Hey there Nick Was at the Elbow Rooms yesterday and parked near your car and took a look! Very nice, love the wheels! Sort that rear badge and the peeling tinting out and she'll be an absolute beauty!!

Hi there m8, That would have been me, were you pulled up by the round about? I wanted to stop but couldn't find anywhere to park up short of mounting the kerb next to you plus I was already running late for a haircut Didn't see the steam, what happened!?

Any ideas guys? Looking at past posts of starter motor failure - mine doesn't stop turning over, it'll turn over very rapidly, just won't catch... Cheers, Francis

Hey there I've had a intermittent problems starting for a while now, and although I always manage to start the car in the end I would like it fixed as it's a little embarrasing sometimes! Anyway it's a strange problem, at first I thought it was to do with the alarm but I am now convinced the alarm is fine. It very rarely happens but when it does it seems to happen quite frequently, and then it'll go for a period where it has no problems at all. I disarm the alarm and immobilizers and try to start the car, it turns over (and it sounds like it's turning over faster than normal) but refuses to start. I find if I turn the key back to the off position and try starting again, it eventually starts, often with the help of a little throttle... once it's started it's aboslutely fine! It has happened when it's cold, but it also happens when it's warm which is puzzling. As far as I know the battery is fine and was replaced recently, and since seems to be turning over healthily I doubt that's the problem... Any other ideas? What are the symptoms of starter motor failure? Cheers, Francis

Hey there Just saw you drive down Earls Court Road, walked across the road behind you on my way from Marks & Spencer.... You guys from around this area? Francis

Will ring them up later and give them a good grilling, I was expecting something in the region of £1600, but £1200 as a new quote and £2100 as a renewal is rediculous. I tried to run through a quote with Tesco's but they couldn't complete it online
-
Right well it's time for me to renew my insurance on the supe (UK TT6, 22yrs old), I got my renewal from Elephant which was quite a bit more than expected at £2100 for a 10 monther. Did another quote online using a different name and a house number a few doors down but otherwise the same details (with the 1yrs NCB I will have when the current policy expires) and it came to £1200! What's the deal with this and what's the best way to get my own quote down to £1200 - I know it says to call them up, but if anyone's got any good advice before I do then that'd be great! Cheers, Francis

Hey mate, that would have been on my way to Attica via a parking space Very nice motor, drowned the sound of mine out completely! Roll on the next London meet!

Was driving down Maida Vale yesterday around 1:30 and saw a very nice Supra at a petrol station off a side road, didn't get a proper look but it had some nice wheels on it! Anyone's here? Regards, Francis

Just spotted black carpets tailored for the Mk4 on eBay for 19.99 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-SUPRA-MK4-CAR-MAT-SET-IN-BLACK_W0QQitemZ7992587874QQcategoryZ36678QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) just wondering if anyone had tried these - are they ok? Cheers, Francis

Just wondering who here drives with standard traction control on or off? My Supra's got a dry solder joint so I rarely get the chance to turn it off (must get it fixed soon!) but when I do the car is a lot more fun, even in conditions where the TRC working light wouldn't normally come on. It even feels faster in a straight line. Is this normal and what do you guys think? I guess the ultimate solution is to get RaceLogic Traction Control although it's going to take a bit of saving for! Regards, Francis

Hmmm think I might keep it simple for the time being and stick with the cats... How much is your decat pipe though MPryde?
-
Hi there, Well my new Blitz Nur Spec will soon be on its way from Miami-GT, I'm contemplating decatting as both cats are currently in place. I know you need to fit a restrictor ring on J-spec's, is the same true of UK-specs? I don't really want to run at increased boost as the car's been run standard up till now and I want to try and avoid any future engine problems! Also what sort of power increase can I expect from a full decat? I've seen it quoted anything from 20bhp to 60bhp... Are the J-spec and UK decat pipes interchangable? How much does Chris Wilson charge for one? Finally how loud is it going to be on a Blitz Nur spec? I live in quite a built up area and don't want to piss of the neighbours more than I already do! Cheers, Francis

Just saw a lady go past Chelsea & Wesminster hospital in a red UK TT just like mine! Anyone on the board? Regards, Francis
-
Hmm I was on the M3 yesterday but in the afternoon around 4ish...
-
Yep don't bother, just removed the one on mine, was seriously restricting the 2nd turbo...taking it off was a breath of fresh air!
