  1. That's all I needed to know, better safe than sorry - another 5l on order Cheers, Francis
  2. Hi there Just wanted to double check on the amount of oil a UK TT engine takes? I've got 5l of Silkolene Pro S but don't want to take it to Phoenix only to find that it's not quite enough.. Could someone confirm for me? Cheers, Francis
  3. Up for sale are a pair of UK glass headlights, in superb condition - no cracks etc, although the drivers side has condensation, the passenger side is absolutely fine and this should be an easy fix. I will try and find all the bulbs to go with. £150 for the pair, can collect in central London. Attached is a photo of them taken just the other day. Cheers, Francis
  4. Saw a very nice UK standard looking storm blue TT with a cool private plate in Camberley today. We were in convoy for a few meters until some arse decided to pull out in between us! Anyway just wondering if you're on the forum! Cheers, Francis
  5. Hi there I'm also after a new set, as I bought a kit in Hong Kong but they gave me 9005's by mistake and then when I asked for 9006's they simply chopped off a bit of the mounting instead of replacing them with proper 9006 bulbs. They fit in and work but the beam is terrible and I think it's probably to do with it being them being the wrong bulbs. Jake - I think the one's you've linked to are DR2 fitment which will not go in to the Supra.
  6. 7k sounds like a good price to me, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get 8 for it. Besides being an automatic, the only thing that would put me off it the dash, but each to their own. As far as red's concerned, it's by far the best colour - mine HAD to be in red.
  7. Hi there, Well I removed one of my headlights today, a lot easier than I'd expected! Unfortunately one of them has a bit of condensation in and has been gradually getting worse. Rather than do a botched fix, I'm considering buying two glass headlight units. So first of all how much are my two old units worth on the second hand market? Secondly where's the cheapest place to get my hands on two new ones? Cheers, Francis
  8. Just for anyone's future reference I was able to get at the behind after removing the headlight. A bit fiddly getting the bolts on as it's right next to the slam plate. Thankfully it looks practically the same as before, phew.
  9. Well the bad luck continues - went back to my car today (parked outside my flat) to find someone had ripped off the driver side headlamp washer/horn and left a bit of a graze on the bumper. All of these knocks to my car when it's parked are slowly driving me crazy. What is it with winter time, it seems to bring crap drivers out in their millions! Anyway I need to reattach the horn, the metal bracket that sits behind was slightly bent but can probably be bent back... Is this a bumper off job? Is there any knack to putting it back on without taking the bumper off? Finally is taking the front bumper off fairly straightfoward and does it align back to how it was easily? Cheers, Francis
  10. Hi there I was wondering if there's any way to get people's addresses from their number plates? I remember hearing on a TV program a few years ago that companies could through the DVLA for a small fee, is this still possible? Only reason I ask is I went back to my car today to find someone had parked in to the Supe It had left a small mark on the rear bumper and I went back to write a note to put on the person's window, but they since vanished. Not really worth doing an insurance claim, but these sort of things annoy the living daylights out of me and I at least wanted to make them feel bad! Cheers, Francis
  11. Looks like a nice enough example, not sure if the silver dash bits will be to everyone's taste, but it must be worth about 7k. Now seems to be a very bad time to sell
  12. Yep that'd be me picking up some cards from the office. Took me bloody ages to find that space!
  13. Give Nic a try, all the Alpine range is very cheap in Hong Kong. As far as the Focal subs are concerned, not sure, but they're very good, I've got a 27WX.
  14. Yes please!! Where do I paypal my money? I'll take 6 IK22's.. Cheers, Francis
  15. Yep I believe so, I can dig it out for you if you like.
  16. Sorry to hear about your Supra but glad that you're still with us. As regards the value, I paid 11k for my mint 94 UK TT6 with 95k on the clock 6 months ago, I'd say around 15k with 47k on the clock.
  17. One of the chaps that lives my block on Old Brompton Road has a BMW 325 which he keeps in immaculate condition. He has had his front bumper nicked four times now, crazy!
  18. Looks like a nice tidy example, my only suggestion would be to remove the shopping list from the side as I think this sort of thing deters a lot of potential buyers. My guess is around 9-10k? Best of luck!
  19. I too have seen the decline in prices... a bit miffed as I paid top dollar for mine only 6 months ago! That said there was a black UK auto with around 70k on the clock which went up to £9600 on eBay but the seller ended the auction early, presumably he got a better offer? Good luck with the sale!
  20. This is done by two doctors from my med school, they've done some pretty funny stuff, check out their website for some other funny ones!
  21. Hi there Could I grab 6 x IK22's? Could you let me know when I'm likely to get them as the car's going in for a service soon! Cheers, Francis
  22. Just found this article: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,588-1044069,00.html Has some useful info in it. Looks like if you drive away before they can put it on your windscreen then it's not valid, what a sneaky bastard making me stay so he could take a photo. Very useful information for everyone to know!
  23. Anyone else think it resembles a slightly elongated supe from the side?
  24. I've paid out about 600 quid in the last two years over parking fines and it's making me sick The last one I contested actually got nullified so there is some merit to doing it... I don't know about waiting it out, I'm sure they'd be right around with the tow-truck!
