  1. parked right outside lloyds bar in glasgow. Car is sweet man
  2. there are no best ones. theyre all photocopies from the toyota service manual. go to http://www.suprajargon.com and u can download the whole manual.
  3. about the creaking noise it does that when im reversing at full lock to the right. i jumped out and looks like the tyre mite be hitting the front wall. there is plenty of clearance on the right. Weird cos im using exactly the same size as the last time 225/45/17. ive only discovered this since i had the tyres changed. took the car back to the tyre dealer and they just said that they just jacked the car up exchanged tyre and thats all. basically saying its not their fault. wot could have caused it? cos its really bugging me
  4. ive recently performed a complete flush of the atf fluid in my auto gearbox. it was a bugger trying to get the fluid right cos it was always slightly above the hot mark. i didn know whether it was cos of a trail being left or something. well after adjusting the fluid level i reversed out the driveway and could hear a 'crunch crunch crunch' sounding like stiff springs being relaxed or compressed. i was heading to town so i took the motorway and thought i would give it a go to see any difference in shifts. definitely shifted smoother. then hit about 115mph i decided to ease it a little bit. a second or two i heard a loud clunk sound. i pulled off on the next exit to have a look around and found nothing noticeable. tried to check the other gears by changing on man mode from L 2 D and R they all worked fine. any ideas?
  5. Can our auto trannies take in stuff like the lucas tansmission fix? Anyone tried that product?
  6. Thought the guy mispelt modified corsa instead. God hes a bit ambitious with the cars hes trying to swap.
  7. ive got two spare boxes of ngk iridiums bkr-7eix (8 spark plugs). If your still needing new spark plugs you can have them for £40. Iridiums last a bit longer so means less need to change ur plugs.
  8. The ngk copper 3330 ones are meant to be quite good if its just for a bhp supe. Cheap as chips and perform the same as platinum. Forgot the part number u will have to look for it in the ngk american website cos the uk one sucks.
  9. Has anybody installed EGR block off plates? They'r supposed to prevent hot air from reentering ur intake and also stop crap from getting back into ur engine. Just wana know if anybodys done it b4 and passed MOT ok.
  10. what do u mean if dave is running th400? he is!! anyway there have been a few posts written up on broken BL auto trannies http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=230810 and this guy is only doing 440rwhp. i would agree that drag times are better with an auto however a stick is always much more fun esp round the track.
  11. the auto tranny is capable of about 500hp. and i think the boostlogic tranny upgrade is up to 800hp. from a few posts on supraforums ppl boosting up to 450rwhp are even breaking their boostlogic rebuilt auti tranny. to be realistic if ur getting a turbo as big as a t78, u wouldn even consider an auto. to have an auto tranny built to a boostlogic one costs and extra £2300 anyway so i think u would be better off using that money to source for a 6spd. the 6spd can handle up to 1000hp pretty well. a th400 tranny swap from a mg is meant to be quite good. some guy called daveh did the swap and is running his NA-T supe in 9.46s 1/4mile with a stock 2jzge engine.
  12. rite ive managed to source all parts for my auto-manual swap. this is a w58 5spd box going into my n/a supe. wots interesting is that the breaker does not have the shifter assembly wotever that means. anyway i just wana know how i can replace that. from looking at pictures u have the gearbox itself and there is usually a hole where the shifter goes in. if im just missing that i mite as well get a short shifter if that is easier for me to source.
  13. U will be very lucky to produce 220-240rwhp without going turbo or even itbs. xdreamer from supraforums has got 225rwhp and the guy has done most possible bolt-ons inc secret mods such as egr mods, fuel mods and coolant bypass mod. To be honest i think all these so called chips are crap. U mite as well get an safc and dyno tune ur car. If you wana learn more about NA supras, then the best place is supraforums. The majority of them have gone turbo because bolt-ons are just so expensive and u dont get that much of a gain. Have a look at this page. its a basic guide to modding ur na http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=148908
  14. since ur car is NA u will need some backpressure otherwise u will lose torque. Make sure u go no more than 3". A lot of NA ppl decat the 2nd one only.
  15. i think vvtis came out >late 97. Someone told me that i can keep my own ecu however it will not shift as quick and also engine lights on my dash will go off and the speedo will not work. Does that happen to you Ian C? Have u managed to pass mot with it though?
  16. As you know >96 years run obd2 and supes before that run obd1. im planning on changing from auto to manual and the ecu from the manual is a 94 whereas mines is a 97 so im thinking i mite run into problems. Ive had different views from ppl, somme ppl say its fine; whereas others say the car will not start. anyway on supraforums someone managed to convert from obd2 to obd1 just by swapping a few wires on the ecu. I need to know whether i can pass my mot if i do this swap? otherwise any other ideas?
  17. Anybody suggest the best and nearest place to Glasgow where i can get my car dynoed, get my safc fuel controller installed and have my engine fine tuned?
  18. steering wheels shakes like mad when im driving 70+mph. had the wheels balanced and the shaking has reduced slightly. car stills shakes. any ideas wot else mite be wrong?
  19. how do these superchips work anyway? they just adjust the fuel:air mixture dont they? if so i mite as well buy an safc instead.
  20. just want to get this cleared up is it true that all jspec supras have the same brakes no matter turbo or non turbo. i know that the UK spec twin turbo model has uprated brakes.
